Anybody Looked At Mousesavers This Morning

Thanks to the O.P. who informed us all on the mousesavers site! I just got refunded $442 for our trip 11/29-12/6! We used the YQE code and I had to do a little resort changing, but that extra money can be used to buy more Christmas gifts at WDW!! I am sooooo excited!

Another note: if you're interested in booking the package online with the dining, enter your information and once you get a quote for the room/tickets you want click on "alternative offer" and it gives you the the same package plus dining.

I didn't realize that the $35 per adult per day for dining already included tax... makes it an even better deal!

Ok so this morning I had a big AUGHHH! I couldn't get my AAA TA to understand about the discount and I thought for sure I wouldn't get a discount but....... We saved almost $600 YEA!!!! :cheer2:
We have 2 rooms at POP for 7 nights dining and park hopper tickets. We saved $290 a room.

Also about AAA ressies, I was standing there when my TA called disney and she gave the reservation # on my paperwork but it won't work on the website. When you use AAA everything is a "special" number. She couldn't use the discount code of YQE but instead the CM told her the AAA discount code.

I'm going to go bounce around the room now!! I'm so excited!!!! :Pinkbounc
30 days and counting!!!!

Yes, I also found identical pricing online with what the CM told me by calling CRO. So, if you're experiencing any extended hold times...just hang up and reserve online.

Does anyone know the best procedure to add someone to your room afer-the-fact? We might have a relative join us in the room but she won't know for sure until right before we check in. Is it possible to call CRO just a day or two prior to arrival to add someone, or can we do it at the front desk? I don't want to include her in the ressie and have to pay the extra fees and then have her not come.

Also, if you had to choose between the value resorts, are they all pretty much the same, or is one better than the other? We usually stay at moderates or higher (DVC) but since this is a last minute trip, I wanted to economize a bit as we already have a ten day trip planned for April.

Thanks!!!

I know this has been asked before in other threads. But do you feel you get your moneys worth on the dining program? I went ahead and added it cause I was saving so much on the room. Now just wondering if that was the right thing to do. We do already have 5 reservations that will use the dinner tickets so those will definitly get used. What do you use your snack ones on? How much are they worth? Thanks for all your help.

You can use them for ice cream, popcorn, soda, bottled water, etc.

FYI – I had a room only booked 11/24 – 12/3. I called and I was able to apply the code for then entire stay including the black out but I decided to keep my room only ressie with AAA discount. Although I wanted the dining plan, I didn’t want to give up my standard AKL room. I am doing a split stay with a standard POR and then moving to a Standard AKL. There were no standard rooms available for those dates at either resort and although I would have saved a few bucks, I didn’t want to stay at CBR this trip.

Well, a lot of work but I think I got it. First off, HUGE thanks to Lanny at Disney Reservations. I was on the phone with her for over an hour trying different combos. For those that use a TA, I highly doubt they give that much of an effort. Yeah, they can apply codes to a package but only you know what will work out best for you.

OK, we had AAA room only rates for a 9 night split stay POR standard and then AKL standard starting 11/24. I wanted the package so I could get the dining plan. When I called the first time there was no way to get AKL standard and they did not have POR available either. I tried back later to ask if I could just switch my existing room only to the package. That can’t be done either. Lanny worked out a bunch of different combos and found that my arrival day of Thanksgiving was screwing up the availability. So, I ended up using my AAA rate for POR for just the first night 11/24, then going to a four day package with dining and an 8 day ticket then switching to AKL using my existing AAA discount. We will be arriving around dinner time on 11/24 and not planning on hitting a park so this works out fine with the tix. So, I got a better discount for the POR part, 4 days of the dining package (better than nothing) and got to keep my AKL standard room which is what I really wanted. All in all it is hard to tell how much I saved because of the dining variable but based on my calculations and what we would have spent on food, it is about $315.

Worth the effort!!

:cool1:

I'm really confused about the AAA packages...are you getting rates lower than those available on the Disney website? I can't tell if people are listing price reductions because of the new codes or are actually getting an even deeper discount. Help me -- my head's about to explode! :teeth:

WE booked it as soon as I heard about the dining program, $35 a day, my Husband can eat $50 on his own in 1 sitting, but he is an appetizer, steak and drink or dessert guy, it is all in what you want to eat. I look at the fact I am eating at Le Cellier for $20. ($10 cs, $5 snack, $20 dinner and all this includes tips) We plan on sharing lunchs / breakfasts at CS so we are hungry for our dinner table service. I hope to strech it to fit all day with no other spending, but we will see.

This is so frustrating!

I have aaa rate at SLC GF now. Add tickets-6 day hoppers total is 3,046.00
with the new promo the SLC, 6 day hopper is MORE at 3,220.90
dining makes it 3,670.70. WOW!

I just can't believe that my AAA rate is that much better than the promo. I just can't add dining to it.

I really wish that I had booked through AAA to begin with now :( I could have gotten the great AAA rate and the dining plan and saved about $150 more.

If I cancel Disney and book through AAA will I lose my Ressies?? Is dining really worth the 624.70 for 5 nights? Should I dump SLC and just do Garden View and be done with this?

Call your AAA agent and see what they can do for you. Whatever you do, don't cancel your ressie until the AAA ressie is in place. My agent was able to get a AAA rate then I had to send a note to CRO to cancel my previous ressie (it was through them and paid off) It's worth a shot.

As far as if dining is worth it, you need to look at how much you eat and if you like the convenience. I did and I am so thankful that I had it. The only reason we ate at their wonderful restaurants is because we had the dining. If we did not have it we would have only ate at one of those places and tried to scrimp for the rest of the trip. Good Luck and have a magical vacation!

Have anyone got the new discount (YQE/YQC) to a AllStarMovie? I really like the theme.

I just called my TA who told me that we didn't qualify for any discount according to what Disney told her. She wanted to know where I got my information and I told her the DIS boards I also gave her the 800 number listed on here and she said she's going to try again. I really need some pixie dust, please!
I don't know how that can be true. We qualified for it (11/5-11/12) but nothing was available at POR for our dates. We switched over to Pop Century for a savings of about $750 (still waiting on confirmation on that).

Local agent or AAA?

When are you going? And were you already paid in full or did you have to pay a change fee?
