Anybody Looked At Mousesavers This Morning

Has anyone price out Pop Century for Dec 17th for 4 nights? It would be 2 adults and a child age 3. Would love to see what you are being quoted. Also was it ever confirmed that the other code is for free dining?

Thanks for the 1-800#....I was freaking out b/c I wanted to hurry up and book my room and my home phone doesnt have long distance (thats what a cell phone is for). Unfortunately my cell phone is half dead and I get a terrible signal where I'm currently at.

Talked to Claude. I was the FIRST to book the new code with him (he just came on shift). He confirmed that CM's rarely know as much as DISers...told me he's been meaning to come check out the DIS boards.... come on claude! You get my vote for friendliness and patience!

I booked POP for six nights (durnit! ASMo wasn't available for the discount) for 2A and 2C with one day base passes and dining for 1092.32. Reg. rate would have been 1292.84....a SAVINGS of 200.52! I did ask how much my tickets ran so I could figure out what an upgrade to SP is going to cost but he couldn't say...there is no break down on his screen. He said ticketing would have a value listed in their system....has anyone that booked this code with one day bases called to find out? I'm curious if this discount came off both tickets and room, just room or just tickets....I'm leaning towards just room b/c people seem to be saving about the same amount regardless of what kind of passes they are buying and the price variations can easily be linked to length of stay or hotel quality....any imput guys?

So if the entire discount came off room that means I'm paying $48 with tax per night....wow that sure doesn't sound right...mabey I am getting a discount on the tickets...but how much of a discount would they offer on a one day base since their incentive has always been "longer=better deal"

I know $200 doesn't sound like an extremely large amount in the scheme of things BUT we were going to book a room with a room only discount for Florida Residents and then buy SP when we get there. Unfortuantely, the dining plan is not an option this route. I don't mind PAYING for the dining, but I can't seen paying rack rate to do so. SO this route I was able to get dining and SOME sort of room discount...though at this point I'm not sure what it is. We've been planning on eating CS for all but two TS meals (not counting breakfast...we plan on doing cereal in the room).

Anyhow, estimated cost of 9 CS and these two specific TS (boma's and charcter breakfast) plus one snack a day = $492

Cost of dining plan that includes 6 CS, 6 TS, 6 S ea = $540

So paying for the dining plan is only $50 more than what we were planning on spending and we get to eat at six resturaunts instead of 2....quite a deal! :cool1:

Well, I called and I am not sure what happened. At first the CM was having trouble finding the discount, not surprising since it just came out today. Then I asked about booking a package with just a one day ticket, and she asked and said that because the ticket was part of a package, I can't upgrade it to an annual pass when I get to the resort. I thought that sounded wrong. I thought that any ticket could be upgraded to an annual pass as long as it has days on it. I didn't book. I wanted to upgrade onsite and use the pass to get another trip later in 2006. Should I call again?

My AAA agent was able to get us upgraded to a lagoon view room for 8 nights at the Grand Floridian for only $150 more than our original garden view. Hooray for YQE!

YES, always call again. You will get a completely different answer I am sure. I got only 1 day base tickets and will be using them towards an AP later next year.

I was told today that the discount is off the room part only. This must be true as everyone is reporting the same price per night discount. Someone even went through and did a bunch of bookings to find this out and it was pretty much the same across the board.

CM Claude said I shouldn't have any trouble upgrading on site...but he didn't claim to be positive...I guess the ticketing office would have more information but I can't find a seperate number for them. Try calling the AP hotline: 1 407 560 PASS

Thanks for the reassurance Memorymakers! I figure even if the discount is off the ticket then that would make them free (yeah right!) and we could just hold on to them till after our SPs expire....then on a trip to US we could spend a day at MK in conjunction with the trip. I can always figure out something!

But, its nice to know that the discount is coming off the room. Wow thats a good deal

Okay, now I called the AP Hotline and they confirmed that I CANNOT upgrade the MYW pass at the parks to an AP. And, he told me that If I buy a ticket from Ticketmania without the expiration for a trip more than 14 days from the time that the ticket is issued, it will expire before my trip even if I am hundreds of miles from a turnstile.

I am flabbergasted.

I'd call and speak with another CM - pretty sure this one is wrong, wrong, and wrong.

I don't get it. I bought tickets (did NOT pay for no-expiry) for my family in January, from Ticketmania, for our Easter trip. When we got there, all the tickets worked just fine. The 14 days to use them starts the first time you USE them.

About upgrading these tickets from this discounted package, why would they be any different from any other tickets! People bought 1-day tickets to save for later, to get the free dining. Are these tickets going to be different/marked somehow? That would change any plans I have to try to take a quick December trip. I have an AP, so would be saving the ticket for another trip.

Has anyone gotten the codes to work past 12/25? We have package thru AAA with dining, and we check in 12/21 and check out 12/27. No AAA discount available when we booked in the summer because those dates are considered holiday, instead of regular/value season. But wanted the AAA perks, so I went ahead and booked. I really don't want to have to make 2 ressies to get the discount. I haven't had a chance to call my TA to even discuss the possiblility of the codes working for us.

We check in 12/18 through 12/26. I didn't seem to have a problem with getting the discount.

Just curious. Anyone get a discount on the Beach Club? TIA

Yes. It is showing $2346.71 for 8 nights, 12/10-18th. One day base ticket for one person. Rack is $2687

I just called my TA who told me that we didn't qualify for any discount according to what Disney told her. She wanted to know where I got my information and I told her the DIS boards I also gave her the 800 number listed on here and she said she's going to try again. I really need some pixie dust, please!

I think they are wrong too, he was at the AP Hotline, I wish I had a number to the ticket office or guest services. I think I will just book a room only and get the AP's I was planning to get anyway.

I'm trying so hard to convince DH we need a trip 12/1 - 12/6. I can get airfare for $100 per person and now this?

Man, I need someone to help me!!!

the room only code and the room/ticket (package code) is now available for online booking at WDW website...

Get a spoon full of sugar....OR THE WHOLE BOWL full. :earsboy:

NOTE: when I did a "pretend" booking for the special package and it asked me what tickets I wanted...the prices were listed and are IDENTICAL to regular price so the discount must be ENTIRELY off of the room....

6 nights at a value with 2A and 2C one day base passes comes to: $552.56

Listed total cost of base passes w/tax: $229.52

552.56 - 229.52 = cost of room for 6 nights (323.04)

Cost per night w/tax = $53.84!!!
