Anybody Looked At Mousesavers This Morning

It would be good for Disney to offer something to 'reward' those who booked the BRP when it first came out...as if to say, 'Hey, we offered a better offer for the first goup who book using this program. If you book your Jan/Feb and beyond vacation through the BRP maybe you'll get a special offer as well.'

Honestly, I'd be wondering no matter how Mary worded her hint.

I'm not planning anything for the time frame, but I'm still curious what it is.

has anyone heard any info on this from their TA? Ours sent out an email blast that said that the discount mentioned on mousesavers was not definite yet. That is was probably but not definite. I was just wondering if anyone else has heard anything from their TAs?

What I find interesting is the way it's worded - "a special discounted Walt Disney World vacation package" . Not just discounted package - but "Special". Now the free dining had been called a "Special" offer. So who knows :confused3

Maybe it's free dining but ONLY if you order chicken dishes? :umbrella:

Still no word yet............???? Sheesh, I'm wondering too, but I'm also hoping that it will extend past Dec. My trip is the end of Jan. I suppose if it's a good enough deal, we might have to try and re-schedule?? Which would be a difficult thing for us to do......... but, maybe, just maybe it will extend through our stay!!! I'm never lucky like that though......... :confused3

Only that there was something coming but not to count on it being free dining and that's all she was at liberty to say right now but she'd email as soon as the information was officially released. This is one of the reasons I went ahead and booked through a Disney specialist rather than doing everything myself though. If something is released this week while I'm at work I won't have to worry about missing out on it because she'll do whatever needs to be done if it's going to be a better deal for me.

That's similar to what mine said. She said she had heard about it too but that it was "highly probable but not yet definite." She did say that at this time, it did not appear to be free dining but that things change quickly. I emailed back asking for more details and she said she was not permitted to give more details at this time but that "if and when" it is released they will be on top of it and will either switch us automatically or get the info and pricing to us to let us decide which deal we want to work with.

I work with Disney specialists for the same reason. So far, in all of our trips, we have yet to be disappointed, they've always scored us the discounts.

may i ask which TAs you're working with? i have not heard from mine (although if she emailed to my work addy i'm unable to check that 'til tomorrow) but i am also not planning a trip for the hinted at time period (but that's subject to change if the discount package is great enough! LOL!)

My TA is with dreams unlimited, and she e-mailed me Friday night to let me know that she would take care of everything, and get the discounts for my reservation if applicable. So now, I can just have fun wondering what it can be.......

My TA is Lori w/ Magical Memories Travel. Gigi1313, I will PM you her email if you'd like. I think I have seen posts that you use the same TA. :)

So do we need to check Mousesavers at 12:01. Our final payment is due tomorrow and I dropped it off on Friday. I hope the deal is something that can save me money. :confused3 We already had to switch from an 8 night to 9 night packages. I hope my TA will not hate me :rolleyes1

If I want to book a special package, can I just call the regular WDW reservations number, or do I need to do something different?

Julia

My agent is from DU. She hasn't emailed me anything on this (nor would I expect her to), but I am confident that if it is something we are qualified for, she will take care of it. DU has never let me down in three previous trips.

Is this strange? I tried checking what was available for our dates in Nov. and nothing was available in any of the deluxe resorts. (We already have a room in the Contemporary. ) Could they be saving rooms for the new deal?

Last time this happened it was the free dinning, which came out to public after people had been getting pins for it. I recieved a pin for a week vacation at a value for under 1300 with tickets a little while back, maybe it will be something similar to that. Just a thought. The deals often come out midweek and she usually has details 1-2 days before on Mousesavers. Good luck to all.

Disney refusing to book rooms at rack rate because they want to offer them to people at a discount? Doesn't seem likely. ;)

What are the chances of any "special package offer" including Thanksgiving week/weekend? I'm booked at POR right now arriving on Wednesday, November 23, checking out on Sunday, November 27 when we move over to our DVC resort, BCV. I know they still have rooms at all resorts for this particular time frame, but I don't know if they historically blackout holidays for special packages.
