First the Platinum plan is not available for 2005 secondly there is no way they would offer an upgrade to this. Way too much of a price difference from a regular myw package

In my AAA vacation Disney World booklet they list MYW with dinning and MYW Premium which is like the Platinum plan. A 3 night package is starting at $434 for MYW with dinning and startes at $831 for MYW Premium. If you already have MYW with dinning an upgrade to the Premium probably would not be a lot more than the cost of free dinning.

I currently have several nights booked at an airline employee rate--room only. If they offer a great package deal, it may be worth it for me to switch. Does anyone know if you can purchase just a one-day park hopper with a package and then use the hopper to convert to an annual pass? And, if you can, do you have to convert (or use that hopper pass) on the same trip as the package?

You were able to do that with the current Free Dining package; and no, you didn't have to use/convert the one day pass during your current visit.

Thats not necessarily accurate. For a family of 4 (2A 2 C ages 9 and 6) staying at AKL (standard) with a 6 day ticket with hopping and the magic plus added on AND dining, the total is $2842.78..with the premium, it jumps to $4722.78 (say Oct 25th-30th) Free dining would have only been about $450.00 off, but the difference between premium and plus dining is $1880.00. I can't see Disney giving away THAT much! LOL

I'm hoping for anything! I called to make some ADR's yesterday and asked the CM to check for any "specials" to change over my room only ressie. Nothing yet, but he told me that I still had 2 months left and there could be a special at any time. I believe his exact words were "we never know when a deal will fall from the sky around here". He told me to keep calling back. Hopefully he has heard something too!!!

Doesn't look like we will be finding out today. The date at the top of Mousesavers just changed from 9/24 to 9/25 in the last 10 minutes......nothing else changed though. Come on Monday.........

WOW! That just might be it! Isn't Chicken Little the next big Disney movie? They must be tying in this promotion with the Chicken Little Movie. Maybe it will be "The rates are falling, the rates are falling!" Hey, if I'm right, someone owes me a Dole Whip.

I doubt the discount will help my room only AP rate, but darn I sure am tired of waiting to see.

How great is it that this site allows us to help each other to take advantage of offers we might never know about!!

I am just so grateful to all that try to help--sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't--but the efforts of our fellow DISers are greatly appreciated------ as I know I have been able to have more fun at DW and less stress at lower cost due to them---THANK YOU!!

Right now I have just a reservation only at AAA rate for POFQ Dec 1-6 for me and adult DD but a great package deal--love to see that!

I think you're RIGHT! Mary on Mousesavers listed it as a "little bird" and the CM said "would fall from the sky". Chicken Little is being released nationwide Nov 4, and I know the character is supposed to be at the hat at MGM (where the Incredibles were- they're in MK now). So, my guess is you are right in that it will be a promo to tie in with the movie release.

I never thought about it being a possible tie in to Chicken Little. Maybe it's just a coincidence the way the CM and Mary worded what they said (a little bird told me, and you never know when a deal can fall from the sky). However why wouldn't the CM just say nothing is out yet instead of wording it the way he did. I know the CM's aren't suppose to let anyone else know of possible deals prior to the release, so maybe this was the CM's way of saying yes, without getting into trouble.

What I find interesting is the way it's worded - "a special discounted Walt Disney World vacation package" . Not just discounted package - but "Special". Now the free dining had been called a "Special" offer. So who knows
