I would certainly stay out of the Mexico pavillion at Epcot. Also, there are still people going to and from Mexico, even knowing where it came from. I don`t understand why they havent stopped travels to and from there before now.

Surely you jest???? That's like saying you wont eat pork because they call it the "swine" flu!:lmao:

Ok....I have been reading all about the flu on the disboards...My turn...

We leave in 12 days...I cannot wait, and nothing short of death or dismemberment would stop me from going......Its the FLU, folks....Happens all the time.....We were there in December with the stomach bug going around...Got nothing....Saw lots of sick people...We washed our hands, kept them out of our mouth...Now, swine flu....Healthy people really not worry too much...Read the CDC site about it.....Z-Pack and Tamaflu HELPS BEAT IT. So, its not uncurable....We will go, have a wonderful time, wash our hands and enjoy ourselves. You can die from a mosquito bite...Spider Bite....Car wreck....Would those stop you from going? NOPE. This shouldn't either.....We are taking airborne, and love vita water, defense....And take vitamins...If we get it when we come home, we use sick days and pick out our photopass pictures for our album :rotfl2:

Sseriously...This should NOT stop you from going or having a ball at WDW....

Just my 2 cents...See ya'll in 12 days!

YES, you must stay out of the Mexico Pavillion, and out of our own country, if you have not read the news, we have some cases here, and if you believe it has all started in Mexico, well, you maybe are wrong as there are some cases registered here in USA prior to those in Mexico....

There is one disease you will never get rid of no matter what you do...it's called the Boston Bruins! :P

:rotfl2: Do you think the CM's are commuting back & forth every day?! Seriously?

We're going over Memorial Day weekend & I'm watching "things" closely for any changes in when, where & how it's spreading. I think one of the big things about it is how quickly it spreads if people travel. I plan on keeping a purse size Purell handy and will probably wipe things in our room down a little more with wipes when we get there.

But I'm still shaking my head and :lmao: over this theory to stay out of Mexico at Epcot! Oh My! What will we ever do since that's the first country on the left as you start around the WS?! Should we head in from the other side and then double back to leave??:rotfl:

I am concerned but agree with PP. Nothing short of death or dismemberment will keep me away from WDW! I am taking all the necessary precautions and hope my boys are doing the same at school. I too am hopeful the media will switch back to news about the stock market or weather and quit beating this dead horse, pig, whatever :lmao:

That is funny!!! :rotfl2:

Well guess we should avoid Canada too! I hear something about a great Poutine scare!! :confused3

I think that everyone should stay away from WDW...:scared:

So I can have it all to myself...:rotfl2:

I'm all for lowering the crowds...:thumbsup2

I just want to clarify that a Z-Pack will NOT treat swine flu (or any flu). Flu is treated with Tamiflu and Relenza. These are both antivirals. A Z-Pack is an antibiotic and only is effective against bacteria, not viruses.

Yea I thought about posting that. I'm not sure if they have confused Relenza which is zanamivir with Zithromax (aka Z-pack.) Or they are saying take the Z-Pack as a prophylactic to prevent a co-infection from a bacteria (which does happen.)

Its quite nice...Bruins doing well, Celts still in it, Sox doing good....At least Mass is good for SOMETHING now :lmao:

Well Shoot, I really planned on eating lunch at Mexico at Epcot.:lmao: I guess I still am. We went to walmart and the drug stores today, there's not any hand sanitizer or face masks available as of today. Suppose to get more in tomorrow.

You are looking for N95 respirators (which is a classification, not a brand/model.) Those are the ones that have the right filtering to prevent transmission. The regular surgical masks don't really do much for you.

Just going by what a lady posted, who just had chemo, and her doctor gave her a Z-Pac to take if she experienced symptoms....Maybe it helps and lessens the flu like effects?

I am not concerned. Or should i say anymore than I would be on any trip at any time. Viruses are out there. This is not the only one.
