Any Word on MK Fourth of July Fireworks also being shown on July 3rd?

I just bought our tickets and made park reservations for 4th of July weekend. I know pre-COVID that MK did the same 4th of July fireworks on both July 3rd and July 4th. For that reason, I reserved MK on July 3rd and EPCOT on July 4th. I can't find anything official for this year announcing that MK will show the special fireworks on both the 3rd and 4th, though. Has anyone been able to find an announcement? Heard anything through the Disney grapevine? Did we make the right choice with park ressies?

I haven’t seen an announcement for this year, but they did show special fireworks on July 3 last summer, so I’d expect the same this year.

If you look at the WDW calendar in My Disney Experience you will see that no times are listed for fireworks on the 3rd or the 4th. Since it would be unreasonable to assume that WDW would have NO fireworks for those dates I will hazard a guess and believe that they are but just haven't posted it publicly.

I hope they do that this year! We booked the treats and seats dessert party for July 3rd and the Rose and Crown fireworks dinner package for July 4th, so if they switch it up I it will be a real bummer for us.

I hope you are right, I didn’t even check that. they opened the dessert parties for July 3rd and 4th today, and my confirmation had the same time as usual on it. Are the fireworks usually at the same time, just different fireworks? I’ve only been over July 4th once, and that was probably 30 years ago!

My memory is that they are at or around the same time and they add an addition set of fireworks for the Independence celebration. I know that the park closing is showing 10 pm for the 3rd and 4th the last time I looked. It won't happen any earlier than normal because it's not even going to get dark till about 8 ~ 8:30 at that time of year.
Based on my best guess I made my CG reservation for 8 pm. No crowds, a nice meal, a good view of the fireworks and this will be less than admission cost. A win-win for me and if I decide not to do it I can cancel as late as 24 hours ahead and not be out a dime. Minimum drama, maximum flexibility!
