Holy Cow!! I thought about this as a possible problem but I thought I was being paranoid. I would die if the controller smashed through our 56 inch DLP.

We were one of the first ones to get a Nintendo DS and then the lite came out and I can't find replacement stylus anywhere. Yup, I think I'll wait for them to get the bugs out and buy the new & improved Wii.

I have been watching Ebay too. I would pay maybe $40 over but most are still going for $100 over retail. No thanks-I can wait:)

My 11 yr old told me today that some one hurt themselves when apparently they caught their hand in the ceiling fan and another one hit a lamp with their hand.

I've had a wii since launch day (11/19) yes, the remote can go flying --it happened to my daughter. We called Nintendo and got a new strap to put on the remote.

There really isn't an issue.

You really don't need to do the exaggerated movements that a lot of people are doing to make the remote go flying. It only really requires a wrist flick. Although, it is more fun to be somewhat animated!!

Go to Gamestop and play awhile on their system and see.

How long did it take for you to get the new strap? I wonder if I can have one here by Christmas if I call today? :confused3

I'm sure my son will go crazy with all the animated moves when he starts playing.

10 working days-

Does anyone still need a Wii? I "think" my mom has an extra because my nephew doesn't want it right now.

no worries here-I already told DS it would be a small miracle if he got one-and a got him a replacement PS2 and guitar hero instead

I was in Target on Saturday around 1:00pm and saw 2 PS3' on the shelves - I was surprised to see any as it wasn't first thing in the morning. I said something to the associate as he rang up my DS games and he said they had even more behind the counter. I said "phooey, I want a Wii" - the Target associate said they WILL HAVE Wii's on the 17th.

I told DS(10) "look, they have PS3'" and he turned his nose up at them. I find that so funny since he's a PS2 player and has loads of games but he is not in the least bit interested in the PS3 - says they took the vibration out of the controllers and he's mad.

Guess I'll be camping out this Saturday night - hope the weather is good. :rotfl:

Well, from now on all of the stores are holding them until Sunday. I just spoke to Gamestop. they are getting them in but they're not allowed to sell them. That makes it all over for working parents. Trying to get to the store during the day when the Fed. Ex. truck got there was the only chance. It's not like we can leave our kids alone to go camp out Saturday night. :furious:

Or when we do go to campout on a Saturday night - they will know what we are doing - I don't think I could SURPRISE my DS(10) unless I can find one to buy online (which is highly unlikely now).

I called my Gamestop this morning and they said "rumour" has it they will have some for Sunday the 17th but not very many. Maybe 6 at best !

I guess Sunday is the NEXT and probably LAST time to get one somewhere as EVERYONE is saying they will have a shipment of Wii's on the 17th.

So Target, Game Stop, Wal-Mart or Best Buy for the 17th? Where do you think I have the best chance??? All of our stores are Super big ones and pretty busy. The Game Stop is kind of small but in a busy plaza. There is a ST in that plaza too so I guess I have the best chance there.

My WM said no more until the new year, but that doesn't mean other WM's might not get them.
