Any Wii's out there??????

Another new day - ANOTHER DAY I CAN'T FIND THE WII!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday I had the circuit city page up all day refreshing it hoping and praying that it would be in stock - NOPE!!! I'm going to do the same thing today.

I've been doing the same with Walmart.com.. when I'm home, not looking.

Wii - we got one ! DH waited at Best Buy for 6 hours.

I called Walmart and they said they would have more in Jan 2007.

More Wii games come out in March 2007

if it makes you feel any better England sold out today too, in some places people were fighting, 200 pre orders for one store and only 100 arrived...

Luckily i got one for my girlfriend, although i really think that this console is a gimmick and wont last a very long lifespan, the games manufacturers really need to push the wii sensor thing, they cant rely on good old fashioned graphics and gameplay.

Ask your kids in three months if they still like it. I hope im wrong i just dropped £300 on this with a few games and extra control etc.

Ps. eBay isnt too bad to be honest, i swear i saw one for like $450 with 5 games. thats a bargain!

Good luck to anyone still trying to get a Wii. I feel I only half committed myself to getting one and I did! I however did call my local Walmart quite often. My persistence did pay off.

Now I'm not feeling so great though if everyone thinks this gaming system will be "old news" in 6 months. I sure hope not, it's the most expensive gift I've ever bought for my kids!! Eeeeks!

The 5 games come with the system. $450 is no bargain. It is a $200 profit for the seller.

woa u get this wii for a lot less than us brits... its like $350 (£179.99) just for the console over here, talking $80 per game (£40)... you know thats really not fair...

I agree though, dont buy from eBay but i was just saying that the markups are not as bad as Xbox 360 and PS3, where people were getting $2500 for a console costing about $700 with games.

Here the console with the 5 included sports games is $249.99US. The sports should be included with what you purchased also. To buy additional games like Madden or Zelda, each are about $50US.

Alright, I have a lead on a shipment coming into EB Games this afternoon (doesn't this sound like a drug run or something!??! ). I'm going to call at 3 and see if they have any left. My BIL said he'd run over to the mall and could be there by 4 if there were still any left. Wish me luck!!!!!

I just read this on another board and those posters called their local EB Games and Gamestop and were told that people are ALREADY in line and the shipment hasn't even arrived yet and they don't know how many they will have.

There is no way I can get out of work to chase one of these things down.

The next shipment to Target and Best Buy seems to be on the 17th - which is a Sunday and a better day for me to try and get one of these darn systems.

I am another mom on the Wii mission

After I read about the Gamestop possibly having them today I called the one close to where I work and was told that they had an unexpeced shipment of 4 on Wed but he was expecting more today.

Of course today is the day DH has my vehicle, but my boss is going to let me use her car if I call and they did get them in.

Shipments come in between 2 and 3:30 so I plan on calling every 15 minutes starting at 2, that's the best strategy I can come up with.

I echo the suggestions about Gamestop - I got one this morning (#4 out of 6 available) and they were expecting a second shipment this afternoon. This is in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. It seems that Gamesto/EB Games is getting them in all over the country today!

I got one today at Gamestop. I called yesterday and they said that they may get some today, so I went there at 10:00 and waited for their shipment. The store employee thought he was getting some in, but could not guarantee it. I was number two and by the time UPS actually came all 6 of the units that arrived were spoken for by others waiting in the store.

They must have had 50 calls while I was there asking if they had any WII's in. They told all of them that yes, they were getting a shipment, but we were already waiting for them.

Us working mothers can't be at the store's opening everyday - UGH!!!

I"m starting to believe there is no hope for those of us stuck at work everyday.

My boss just suggested that I go up there around 2:20 and hang out for my "lunch hour" I've already had lunch but she's being very nice about it, heck I'm even using her car. I hope it's not a wasted effort.
