I'm going to be graduating with a B.S. in Biology this May and honestly I'd love to spend the rest of my life at Disney. Unfortunately my wife won't let me! :rotfl2: My best shot is getting a real *paying* job at Disney in order to spend as much time there as possible. Anyone successfully do this? I check the Disney Career website often but it seems like all the jobs are really just internships.

DD had an internship in 2002, then became seasonal worker for the next 3 years, graduated with a degree in elem. ed w/minor in musical theatre in May....moved to FL in June, became a ft employee in July......she loves her job!!!! Good Luck to you!

I told my wife that when I retire from the Coast Guard, I am going to get an easy, stressfree job. Originally, I planned on being a Wal-Mart greeter, then I got the bright idea "hey, I'll be a bus driver at WDW".

Boy, that didn't go over well at all.

I've been trying to talk my hubby into getting a job at disney (he's an it guy) but (unfortunately for me) he loves his job at a casino! One day. . .

My wife also graduated with a BS in Biology. She found a job request on the Disney Career website for tagging animals at DAK for research. She applied but didn't get the job because they were looking for someone with experience in tagging large animals, and her 2 college interships involved tagging sea turtles. After she was denied, Disney emailed her a number of other positions to apply for, but she declined as they were more "guest" related and she wanted to work with the animals. Good luck!

Matts:

I think the best job @ Disney is to be the captain of the little boat that transports people from the poly & gf to mk!

we were talking to the captn a few weeks ago and asked him about it-he said it was the best job in the whole place-but keep it quiet!-I believe he was retired from some military service. :wizard:

Since disney tends to promote from within a lot of the time, it's easier to get a better position if you have taken part in one of their internships. However, if you just keep an eye open they will post on disney carreers.
