We are transplants, and WDW vets getting excited about our first trip in February (Presidents Day week)...and both of my boys enjoy collecting SOTMK (Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom) cards. I know the game isn't part of DL (only at Magic Kingdom/WDW)...but I am wondering if anyone out there collects the cards too/wants to trade?

Long shot...but you never know. I read a post on a FB group about a fellow gamer bringing extras to the half marathon next weekend, and thought I would ask : )

...if you are a DL vet and headed to WDW, the game/cards are a great freebie that is often overlooked.

I would think it would have to be a planned meet-up because I've never seen anyone with any SotMK cards while in DLR. I've seen non-CM pin traders and vinylmation traders around the parks, but I haven't seen anyone with any types of trading cards. That being said, I've also never seen the traders that are supposedly hanging around Tortuga Tavern in MK, so maybe I just don't know what to look for. :rotfl:

I don't know if you've seen it, but there is a SotMK Card trading thread down on the Collector's Board. I've had fairly good luck finishing up my collection by trading with folks on that thread.

What days are you there? We arrive on the 27th and have tons of cards.

Thanks Figment...yes, will check out that board too. I have two groups on FB, which is what gave me the idea to post here : )

We are there Feb 14-20th, so no-go : (

The cards (and game) were a big hit in our family. I still plan to bring our card book as it is covered in brown paper bag that we use for signatures...looking for Olaf's snowman!

I know that it is sotMK, but it would be great if they could add this to Disneyland. I will be sad walking past the firehouse and no SOTMK...although looking up into Walt's apartment just might be cooler.

My daughter was so bummed when she figured that out too. Since we live out here we're not headed to MK for a long time. I think it was her favorite ride/attraction of the whole WDW.

I know the feeling! Every once and a while, I look at the firehouse and think for a moment, where is the SotMK station? Then I remember that it's only in WDW. I agree that it would be a fun addition to DLR, but thus far I haven't even heard of any rumors that it or something like it might be added to DLR.
