your worst Disney World experience?

I'm sure we all have had less than perfect trips home. My worst had to do with who I was with, not anything that happened while I was there. I made the mistake of asking someone to go who didn't 'get it' and regretted it from the moment she got there. She did nothing but whine from the time she checked in until she got to the airport for the return trip home Believe it or not, she asked when we were coming back next? I told her it would be when a normally very warm place was consumed by ice....

Like many of you, I get deeply into the Disney spirit and am always helping out other guests. During my first trip ever in 1972, my sister and I helped save a mans life who had a heat stroke while waiting in line to get on the riverboat. Fortunately we had both taken Red Cross life saving classes in high school and were able to use the knowledge to help the man while medical assistance was summoned. My sister and I were both praised highly by the Disney personnel and the paramedics who eventually showed up

We were also both paid to be in a Disney World commercial, but don't ever remember seeing it air...

I'd have use the transporter twice in one night. First, to watch Spectromagic from a previously roped off vip section. When the parade is over I'd zap us over to California Grill for a nice dinner and drinks, then step out onto the balcony to watch Wishes. I think that would probably be nice.

The transporter- World Showcase...about 8:15 PM, Autumn so its dark...Speaceship earth glowing in the back ground, the music about to start an dthe fire pots to be lit. Grabbing an awesome snack and a drink - so many choices...its such a good vibe at that time. Then settling in for illuminations. Its terrific.

I'm from NJ and we had a white castle pretty close to us but it closed. I have to say that was one of the saddest moments in fast food history. They have Krystal here but let's get real...White Castle is way better. (I don't eat meat anymore but I appreciate the importance of WC)

I'm in Jackson about 2 1/2 hours north of the coast. The only places I know in NO are the Riverwalk mall and Esplanade mall. I usually stick to the trendy shops in the Quarter, but I understand not all are open yet. It's going to take a long time before the coast and NO are anywhere close to what they were pre Katrina. What are you doing on the coast? You sound like you are closer to Bay St Louis and Waveland, what's left of them anyway.

My wost experience was on my last trip to the world. I was supposed to be a solo trip, a friend wanted to come along, so I said sure, made sure she knew that there was me time, and her time, and us time. She said she was cool with that, and that sounded go to her. Another friend joined us for the weekend, which was good (or at least I thought so). Well one day friend A had a meltdown, and put her self of a time out back at the hotel (yes we are adults). Friend B and I went off to DTD and MGM, had a great time.

Friend A was not pleased, and made sure I knew it. She told me after the fact I did nothing but snap at her the whole vacation. Just for the record the only time I snapped at her, was after she had her meltdown at MK.

Planning this trip, Friend A was hinting around at tagging along....well that wasn't gonna happen, I am happily going solo this time

I'm working in Pascagoula and living in a campground where there are DOZENS of FEMA trailers....not fun but no one wants to come to this area to work right now. I work in Physical Therapy...so go where needed the most.. It's going to take years still to get things back to even decent here...keep praying for everyone down here!!!!!

I have a feeling that most of the worst trips will be because of a person, not the place. A couple of years back I was staying at WDW while working on a project in Cocoa. A hurrycane was coming in that was supposed to hit hard and affect WDW as well. I was diligently working with my retailer in Cocoa to guide him through storm preparations when it hit me that I was in the path of the storm as well. I called the airline to see if I could get out two days early and was told that there were no seats. I resigned myself to riding it out at POR but was scheduled to leave the morning the storm was supposed to hit. The CM's at the front desk arranged for me to have the room for another few days even though people were calling from all over the coast looking for rooms. I ended up getting out early, but would have had no problem riding out the storm at POR. As it was, the Disney hotels were the safest places to be in the Orlando area.

I agree - a worst trip comes from who you are with rather than what happens. When you read TRs here you realize that some people have magical trips regardless of experiences with ME, weird rooms, rude people, personal crises, etc, while others have terrible trips just because a bus turns around 100 feet from the end to go to a different resort and someone has to walk a few feet further. They let it eat at them the whole way.

Having said that, my worst trip came last year when my soon to be ex whined and moaned and complained the whole way, racing around from one side of the park to the other without once stopping to enjoy the cute kids, the flowers, our meals or anything else including the sight of the Castle from our balcony as it changed colors at night and the EWP. (which had been a magical free upgrade! ) He laid there watching TV missing all the magic. Not only did he not get it but he ridiculed everyone he saw the entire trip. One of our last nites there we went to Party of the Senses where he disappeared early on - obviously tried to drink everything that was free - and went ballistic back in our room with vile comments and nasty resentments he had been secretly nurturing a long time. I was stunned and shocked - I had no idea he was so unhappy. When I tried to talk to him about it at home he denied any recollection of it and said he was perfectly happy. What a trip! Even before I decided the marriage was over, I had decided I would never take him to WDW with me again.

I am so happy to be returning this year alone I am sure it will be the most magical trip I have ever had.

The worst Disney trip I can remember is when my parents got into a huuuuggge fight in front of us in Epcot and they weren't speaking to eachother for about half of the day. Although they made up then evening and we resumed our happy vacation, it stills sticks in my mind.
