A question for all of you still looking for your Disney Prince or Princess....don't you think the moderators on this thread should help us out and put the age and whether male or female next to our names? Just a thought... :firefight

Or perhaps we should all do a roll call (only problem is I always forget who is who) I'll start...

Male...48..Northern Michigan

And what is with teachers? All the ones I went out with were rather on the wild side and liked to drink a lot. Maybe they *have* to after dealing with kids all week! :teeth:

Hmm, well I teach as part of my job, so let's see...
--"wild", well with the right company... :smooth:
--drink a lot, not really. Although there too, a few drinks with the right company can enhance answer #1. *Talk* about drinking, especially after a rough day with students, but don't actually do it that often.

But I'm not in a classroom all day-all week, so maybe that skews my responses. :rotfl:

as for the roll call: 44 F MA.

And as far as disaster dates, none of those to report...but if someone ever wants a *long* sad story, buy me a drink and I'll tell you how I learned so much about Obsessive-Compulsive disorder. :sad2:

32, female, Alabama

In other news..........I'm supposed to be meeting another male DISer in about 3 weeks. He lives out of state, and was going to be 2 hours aways for a football game and asked if I wanted to go to dinner and a movie! :thumbsup2

The best way I have found to deal with a bad date is to be honest. If it's not a good fit, I simply tell them there isn't any chemistry. This has been very effective and well received. I never have a first date in the evening. Meeting for lunch is the best. It's time limited (you have to get back to work) public (never go somewhere you don't know well), well lit and if all does go well, plan a second lunch.

If it didn't go well, even if you aren't going back to work, don't go home. Stalkers tend to follow you. Go to a freinds home or mall. I've had dates with women who were smart enough to have a friend drop them off and pick them up. The "planned" interruption works well to get you out of a bad experience. Arrange to have a friend call you fifteen and 30 minutes into the date to give you a potential out (emergency at home etc.)

Never go home with or take anyone home with you after a first date (or even second).

My worst date was with a woman that wanted to have sax with me (yes it was still a bad date). We went back to her place and when she walked in the door she went to an altar, knelt down and began to pray for forgiveness for what she was about to do. The picture above the altar was NOT of who you'd expect. I bolted out the door and never looked back. For the next few months until I moved, she stalked me big time.

Yes, it does happen to guys too!

I have been off the boards for several days. I was at the NFFC Convention atg the Swan and it was a blast.

As far as the roll call, I am best self-described as a Dirty Old Man. I am 66, and as my location says I commute to WDW.

Also, my computer has crashed and I am working from my laptop right now and do not have a ra\eal keyboard.
