Any Single Disney Men Out There?

TT, I have run into this as well. It's a terrible situation to be in but I will not give up a friend of X number of years for someone to date. I have quite a few female friends that I have known for years. Some I have been intimate with at one time, but have no interest in them that way anymore. Others I have never been intimate with and have always been best friends with. I have had women I'm dating grill me like a bratwusrt to get every bit of info they can out of me. Once you tell them you were intimate with the friend at a time in the past, whamo! They want you to cut them out of your life! Considering that true friends are as hard to find as a true love, and placed in that situation, I'll take the friends.

It does go both ways though. Some of my female freinds are afraid to tell the guys they are dating about me.

Like I said, I won't give up a true friend for a possible lover. Eventually I belive you'll find a woman who will accept your friends, ALL of your friends.

My 4.7 cents

I am addressing the question to all the ladies out there...

Recently, I met a female who is as big of a Disney nut as I am.. Well, things were going pretty good for the first few days.. We spoke on the phone for hours, talking about Disney stuff.... Well, one night, while on the phone, a female friend of mine called me... When I clicked back over, the Disney nut girl asked me who it was.. When I told her, she had a fit... She said that my female friend and I talk a lot and that I could have her... I was really annoyed... I tried to explain how men and women can be friends without there being anything romantic between the two.. She said no, men and women cannot be just friends... and for a woman to call a man a lot means she likes the man... I again tried to explain that there is nothing like that between my friend and I, but she wouldn't hear of it... She acted like a 2 year old baby throwing a tantrum after not getting her way.... She kind of put be in a spot where I had to choose between her or my friend.. I told her I was not going to lose a friend over her immaturity and she said FINE... but then she calmed down, I guess realizing how stupid and immature she was sounding... This is the 4th night now and I still haven't called her...

So, my question is.. ladies, do you think men and women can be just friends? Also, what do you think of this Disney chick???

Thank GOODNESS she showed her true colors this early in the game. What a pain she'd turn out to be.

ABSOLUTELY men and women can be friends. 90% of my friends are men and I'd NEVER give them up for a jealous idiot.

She sounds like the type who'd not let you leave the house without her in fear you'd look at someone else.

TT- yes they can be friends. I have plenty of female friends and made the mistake of losing one almost completely over someone's jelousy. Its not worth it, as I<3Dsiney said, the jelousy just tends to get worse.

ok...in 39 days I will be hitting the world solo.....of course taking notes for a future trips when hopefully I will be going with a disney sweetie. :)

any of you who have resort hopped....how would you recommend doing it....one a day, or more then one a day....and what is your favorite place to sit and enjoy a drink solo (park, resort, DTD/PI)

I'd resort hop by area...MK resorts, Epcot resorts etc..

I think a good place to get a drink is at the Pub in the UK and grabbing a table out front to people watch.

I thought that is what I might do, and then head to DTD to do a little shopping and maybe go to the AC...there are a few of the hotels I have never been to, and just really want to see what they look like...and I figured going solo, would be a great time to do that :)

Resort hopping is something I do with all my friends who are first timers. I love the hotels so I much, you'd think I gave birth to them (ok, yea :rotfl2: glad I didn't)...so I like to show my friends all the cool theming. My favorites to show them are the Boardwalk, Poly, and WL, and AKL.

I've only seen AKL at night...and loved it, so I want to go durning the day to see more of the grounds.

wooohooo I finally earned my ears

Cait,

Well you can walk to POR, take a boat to OKW then DTD and you can take the boat from OKW to SSR. You can hop the monorail and see the contemp, poly, GF. You can take a boat from MK to WL. Then you could come out the back gate of EPCOT and see the Yacht & Beach, Boardwalk, the Swan and Dolphin. I usually just resort hop to the ones I'm near pending what park I'm going to that day.

I enjoy having drink and people watching by the water at Boardwalk.

The boardwalk is on my list...never been there, so I may have to steal your idea :teeth:

I really gotta shut my PC down and leave...I just can't seem too....I seem to have developed a problem... :rotfl2:

Cait,
I'm planning similar excursions while I'm there in Dec. to see the decorations, so I'll be interested to hear how many resorts you manage to get to on your adventures... :thumbsup2

I listen to audio downloads from the park while I'm at work. It's like I'm on Splash Mountain at this very moment. After this I'm getting on BTM. My co-workers probably are wondering why I'm grinning so much :teeth: .

I may have missed this but where to you get these audio downloads. I want to hear too!!!

I'm not sure where rer listens, but I listen to mouseworldradio on live365.com . It's awesome, and just like being at the parks! :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone for responding. The Disney chick called me and told me she missed talking to me. I told her she needs to grow up or else we can no longer talk. She said she can not promise she can get over me having the female friend. So, i told her until she can then there can be nothing. I am RUNNING from this chick...

TT--Like many on this thread, I believe that you're right in keeping your distance from this girl. She's potentially big trouble. Women and men can be friends without sex; at least 95 percent of my friends are female, and many of those friendships are stronger, longer-lasting, and more satisfying to me than my friendships with men.

Cait in Boston--I think resort-hopping is one of the most fun things to do at WDW, because the resorts are attractions in themselves. One of my favorites is Wilderness Lodge. Opened in 1994 at 901 Timberlake Drive on the shores of Bay Lake, it is gorgeous and has a down-home, rustic feel that's missng from the others. After visiting Wilderness Lodge a few times between 2000 and 2004, I finally stayed there from November 30 to December 8, 2005. A surprise room upgrade and Jackie's (at the check-in desk) cheerful "Welcome home" only cemented this as one of my all-time favorite WDW resorts. A path behind the resort through the woods leads to Fort Wilderness and Trail's End Restaurant, which is the best sit-down food bargain on property.

I hope you have the kind of blast that you can't approach with dynamite!

Jim
