Any September guests received FP+ testing invite?

I LOVE THIS BOARD!!!!!

Thank you everyone for the tips, I had done FP+ selections 2 days ago but alas no MB, until someone gave the tip to re-do the online check-in and VOILA! Customized bands done and waiting to ship (of course, being from Canada they won't ship to me but should be waiting for me at the resort - boo).

The only thing I can't do is make a BOG ressie. I used the MB confirmation number, which gives me the following error message (which is farther than I got before getting the MBs):

I am hoping I'm just too early? I arrive on September 25th.

I got this same error message. for some reason it had locked out my email account. When i chose the option to create a new disney account and link my reservation (same reservation number) it worked. you might want to try that if you have another email you can use.
 
Just like many others here, I customized my Magic Band on Tuesday of this week. I got the email that it was sent out on Thursday, and it arrived at my home on Thursday, too!!
 
I have another question concerning room only ghost ressie at pop. Will that affect my magical express For the day that we are actually arriving?

If you are doing a RO, just don't add DME. It will stay with your other reservation. You can always add/change DME plans at any time. Even if all else was to fail, you could just take care of DME at MCO, assuming you have tagged your luggage ahead of time.
 
After you ordered the MB the web page will say something like your MB are being made and will ship soon. Two days later I got the email that your MB have shipped, and they arrived the same day. Just give it a couple of days. It will happen.

I went in and customized my family magic bands. is there a button I am missing to order them? I

updated them all and my choices are continue planning my visit or view additional magic bands.

It says this is my last day to customize them so do they just ship tomorrow however I have them set? Or should I see a button that lets me submit them to process the order?

It will process on its own. In a few hours/ tomorrow you will see that customize link change to "Your bands are being customized". So long as you have your colors and names set right you can just leave it be for now.

Has anyone else not seen this "your bands are being customized" pop up yet? Also do not see a length of time I have to customize them. I customized them and confirmed my address last night, but today it will still let me change them. Shouldn't they be processing by now? :confused3

2 things!

1. Is your departure date less than 30 days? If so then it will proceed as soon as you confirm your address and customize.

2. Do you see a green button that says done? Click it if you do!
 
I'm very confused by all this fastpass + stuff. Can someone please direct me to the page that explains it and the bands. I need some coles notes on this stuff! I'm totally new to Disney and our first trip is in Sept, staying at POR-Riverside.

If anyone could help, it would be much appreciated. :) Thanks.

It's kind of complicated but the quick and dirty version is.

Magic Bands will replace the regular room keys. They will be used for park admission, room entry, paying for things etc. It's an opt-in service though, for now it's in testing and they're saying it's opt-in in the future. (but who knows for how long that'll last) They're only available to guests staying on property. You can schedule 3 fast pass +'s attractions per day at one park. As of right now you can still pull regular fast passes (aka double dipping) but in the future you won't be able to.

2. When I click on "personalize" I can see a message that says "act quickly! your order may be shipped at any moment" but I can click on a ">" and still change colors and everything. There is a blue button that says done, which I have gone through and clicked on at least 3 times now, but I can continue to go back and update things and the main page still says "personalize". :confused:
 
Hi I just booked a 4 night stay at Boardwalk Inn through hotels.com. How do I get FP+?

This is for November 1 - 5.

It isn't a pop up. When you click your Magic Band page it's to the left. It happens after it stops allowing you to customize. Will it still allow you to change colors?

Edit: read further down. You just have to wait for your customization window to close. After you can't change colors anymore they will make and ship them.
 
Well I wanted to make a room request closer to check in and I heard you can't really put specifics in for online check in

If you do online check in they give lots of specific room requests. We were able to request exactly what we wanted this trip. And, ALL the ppl who do online check in get their rooms assigned a few days before, so they get their requests met first. Just something to think about.

I was able to customize last night around... maybe 9pm? Yes I can still go back in and change color and what name I want engraved - this is all below the "done button". Even if I don't change anything and click done I can still go back in and change things again...

They are currently only scheduling testing through the end of Sept. you will want to check you MDE page on a regular basis and see if something opens up for you.
 
I went into MDE this morning and booked BOG ressies but when I went back n to get my confirmation number I was unable to get into any Disney site. Said my username and password did not match. Frustrating!

Mine did the same thing! You need to call 407-WDW-help. It was because I have a WDW and Disneystore.com acct. they are currently combining it all and needed me to call and they reset my password.
 
When I go to my account it says one order for MB, but when I click on that, I could change them too.. So confused.. still prompts me to customize them on the main page... is mine stuck? :confused3
 
I have not done on line check in. I was prompted to customize my bands, make FP + reservations simply by logging into MDE. My AP and resort confirmation were already linked to my account prior.

I was prompted to customize my bands, but clicking the link brought you to a page that didn't let you do anything. Not sure if you took that extra step?

It's been reported on this thread, though, that it can take up to 24 hours from the initial popup to the time when the customization is actually available.

Oh I called, and got my password reset, and now everything on my reservations are not showing...so I called again, and she can see them, but I am unable to link them because they are already linked...the CM, as lovely and helpful as she was said that they didn't know how long it would take to get my info back up, but confirmed all my fast passes resort reservation and dining reservations were there. But I won't know when I can customize my magic bands. She said I could call at about 2 weeks out and get them done over the phone!
