Any September guests received FP+ testing invite?

Since we are checking in on the 1st, will we be able to switch tickets to magic bands at the hotel.

also some people are adding their ticket numbers, how are they getting these numbers.

I would be mildly concerned about booking a fake stay with regard to FP+. Since the FP+ selection system is currently tied to your resort selection, once you cancel the participating resort it could possibly prevent you from adding/changing FP+, and at worst, it might erase them.

Actually, FP+ is tied to your ticket admission. Initial access to the system is granted by having a certain resort reservation but the FP+ is based on your tickets. Then, access going forward is based on having MagicBands with valid tickets linked to your MDE account. I know I have read of testers that began their trip at one resort (ie. Pop, CR, AKL) and then transferred to another midway through but were still able to access and use FP+.

I ordered one for my 1 year old as well. Both of my kids have always gotten room keys when they never needed a ticket so it must be similar to that.

Anyone have a review on how good the Fantasmic! and Illuminations FP+ viewing areas are, and if they got crowded, etc..?

Yesterday, I was able to book FP+ for our trip. I read this thread, revamped my online checkin, and had the option to personalize our MBs! Then, I used the MB confirmation to make FP+/reservations at BOG! I am on cloud 9! So excited! Now, if they will just release some FP for Sept 29-Oct 2, I will be all set!

I really don't have an answer to this. Worst case scenario is that I pay the $100 for the my POP RO reservation. My son has Asperger's and I love what the FP+ would bring to our trip. Based on what I currently have scheduled, it will be worth the $100 if I can't cancel my POP RO.

Have the MK parades and Wishes! been given FP+? I haven't seen them mentioned here, just Fantasmic and Illuminations. Is it just certain days, perhaps? That's the only thing I can really think of wanting a FP+ for. Waiting for an hour for a parade is not something my four year olds would handle well.

We received our yesterday. We customized them Tuesday evening and they arrived UPS yesterday afternoon.

I would think that you actually need to check into the test resort to activate the bands... I would hate for everyone to go through all this now only to get there and find out it didn't work...

I asked if it would affect any of the FP selections and he said that no, as long as your MYW package (with the room and tickets) is active, your fast pass selections will remain intact.

(This conversation was about if we booked and no-showed the reservation --which is what we were thinking of doing--I did not ask about canceling, but it seems like it would be the same either way)

I'm just speculating as to the possible "side effects" of a cancellation. This is just a guess, but I'm leaning more towards the idea that once your FP+ selections are in there, they're in there even if you cancel a resort reservation.

Whatever you do, don't make any decisions based on what I'm saying, because I'm completely guessing on all of this stuff.

Just ordered our magic bands! BC Sept 13-21. We havent bought tickets yet, so I cant book fastpasses , but at least I can verify BC is a test resort in Sept! And once we have tickets I assume we get fastpasses.

Ah, sorry. I missed that. Call MDE support and ask them. I found them to be very helpful.
