I *still* haven't made my ressies for Nov. (I'm worried about the bus situation there!) Has anyone stayed in a particularly great room? Thanks!

In Oct we stayed in a fabulous room. Acadian House, 3rd floor corner room, parking lot view. It was big, clean, quiet and just a nice walk from everything. The view made no difference to us as we were not in the room often. It was steps from the north depot.

I would reccomend the first section of Alligator Bayou. We stayed in building 16 last summer it was very close to a quiet pool and close to the food court. that area is also close to the first bus stop outside the main building so everything including ol man island is not that far of a walk

good luck

Buildings 14, 16, & 17 are great ! They are close to the bus stops & food court. SO go Bayou section! Also, request a corner room, you get 2 windows which makes the room moe bright & airy!
Have fun!

Hopskip -

We stayed there last November and didn't have any problems with the buses. I have heard, though, that you might want to use the first bus stop as buses didn't tend to stop at the other three if they were full when leaving the first bus stop at POR.

We stayed in bldg. 15. It was a nice location. Had two rooms and one was a corner room. It overlooked a courtyard area and was very nice. We liked the location. It was close to the bus stop, food court and main building. The main pool wasn't far away and the quiet pool was just a hop skip and a jump, as some would say.

Keep in mind that if you stay in the Alligator Bayou section that there are no elevators to the second floor. If you are using a stroller this can be a challenge, especially at night with sleepy kids. We requested a ground floor room.

Bldg. 14 is primarily reserved for handicapped guests and is often hard to get into. I have also heard some say that they don't like it because of the "foot traffic" around it with it being the closest building to the food court. Bldg. 18 was also in a nice location, especially if you have a river view room. The foot path to the main building, food court area is just right there.

Hope that helps.

I forgot to post this, but, if you are concerned about what you are reading about the transporation issues at the POR, I would email Disney and let them know. That way they may realize that it needs to be looked into. I don't have the email right at the moment but I think it is posted somewhere on the main dis board. Perhaps someone else knows. But, I would definitely let Disney know what you are thinking.
