Any ROFR news?

I just received notice that we made it through ROFR so we are going to be DVC members.

I found out yesterday that my 104 point BWV contract passed ... can't really call it an add-on since I put the bid in a week or so after my bid for OKW ... I'm referring to it as my Food & Wine Festival contract!

I got some other good news today. I called ms and my OKW contract is in the system. The rep. said I had 84 banked points (which I knew about) and 24 holding points (which I didn't know about). I've got 2 trips coming up, one is just after Thanksgiving so I thought I would give it a shot ... studios were all booked but she was able to get me in to PO Riverside. I know that most people say using non-DVC resorts is a poor use of points, but the 24 holding points made the deal for me. Plus, I really need to relax and get rid of some stress (and now I won't have to kick one of my brother's kids out of their bed)!!!!

So Closing Club Members - are you all in the system now?

Wow! Just passed ROFR 10/7 and alredy got closing documents by email today (10/12) from TCS. I thought there was supposed to be a document that requires a notarized signuture, but I do not have one. Am I missing something. I tried to call TCS, but I guess they are gone for the day.

Only the seller need to have anything notarized...the buyer's just sign and send money!!!!

Beca, this is the main reason that it took so long to close on our VWL contract. The sellers live in South America. When they returned the closing docs, they failed to have them notarized. So, everything had to be returned to them to get this done! Oh well, it's all water under the bridge now!! Congratulations to all the new DVC owners!

kimpossible, I'm glad we're not alone. We passed on 10/1 also and still haven't seen our documents either. I'm hoping any day now...after all, the Columbus Day holiday probably slowed down the mail a bit anyway. Good luck!

Ive been out of town on family business and just got back to see all the good news. Congrats Plamp and Goofynme what great news. Hey how are you guys finding out you closed!! We got the paperwork on 10/7 and overnight back to them by 10/8 with bank check. I guess we could call the broker and find out estimated closing timeframe.

I just am dying to make ressies for DVC and plane.

Don, Mom is still waiting (but, then..she is out of town...so, she may have already passed and still doesn't know it)...it's weird, she went to ROFR one week after me, and now I have closed and she still doesn't know about ROFR!!!!

I received a phone call on Mon (morning here, but afternoon in FL) from our realtor saying that we had closed, and that I might want to check to see if we were in DVC's system. He said, if not...give it two days and call back. Well...we called and were already in their system!!! SUPER fast!!!! I have to say....our first contract was through TTS...they were really good...but, this last closing went SOOOO fast, I think I like the people that Jaki uses better. She did tell me the closing agent for this company used to work in DVC legal, so she is super fast at getting stuff thru them.

Good luck to you, and I hope you are in the system soon...I still have my eyes out for you!!! And, let me know if there is an Oct "get together" going on...I would love to try and make it!!!

We just got our closing documents from TCS yesterday! We passed ROFR on 10/7. I think Plamp and I are on the same schedule. Plamp--be sure to let me know when you close.

Isn't this weird? We mailed all docs and check, overnight on October 6, and TSC still hasn't heard back from the seller?
Wouldn't you think that the party receiving the money would be the first to get the docs back!

Our first seller took a REALLY long time to get the docs back!!! We did the same thing...spent big bucks to overnight, and then...waited, and waited, and waited!!! The seller has to get some docs notarized, and with last weekend being a "holiday"...who knows, maybe your seller was out of town, or just couldn't get the papers notarized! Either way, it does seem weird that these sellers take a while...but, sometimes they do!!

Here's hoping they get it going REAL soon!!!

HI EVERYBODY: After years and years of thinking about it . I am a new member of DVC. I decided to go resale and did wait for the right contract. I PASS ROFR . 160 points at Saratoga Springs. 75 per point plus closing costs.

Well....my mom passed!!! Actually, she passed on Mon, but she was out of town. I knew she would (a 50 pt contract at $78 per point)...it was just a matter of when.

Plus...I just HAD to get this back on the first page!!!
