Good Luck Kim!!!! I was wondering how your process was coming along.

Just to give you a bit of hope here....I heard exactly 15 days after both my contracts were sent to Disney for review. Of course...I lost both of them LOL , but that is how long the process took for mine.

Fingers are crossed for you!!! I doubt we'll hear on our new contract until somewhere around the 22nd. I'm not even sure if my broker has been able to send the contract to Disney yet due to power outages, etc. It could even be longer for us?

Yeah, let's hope Disney doesn't agree. I've been seeing quite a few add-on's for BWV through Disney. I just hope they don't decide to replenish their stock with my contract!

We did not pass ROFR. We bid $67 on a VB Dec UY 400 pt contract with 269 banked points. It went to Disney on 8-18-04 and we just heard from Pat Spell today that we lost the contract.
She said that is the highest they had seen Disney buy back on Vero Beach contract. Looks like we won't make the 1000 point club this go around.

There is a 220 point, March UY, no 2004 point contract for OKW at TTS. Normally, I would have already jumped on it, but it's almost the exact the same contract Amy got ROFR'd on last week. Almost exactly!

So my thought process is telling me why should I. I have nothing to lose, but next time I want to make sure. I know Amy and others have gone thru double ROFR'd and its not a nice thing. No magic there!

Anyway, keep us in your thoughts.

And, I promise, we're going to have a "ROFR club" party at some point, down at WDW, somewhere!

Thanks, Kathy. I know you and everyone is pulling for us. I'm going to see what develops over the next few days both at TTS and with Jaki. You guys love her, so I trust her too. I'm hoping by the end of the week. I keep you posted.

As for the party, I'm serious. Parents lose the kids and we're at PI!

I am reading this thread trying to keep up on what is selling and for what $$ amount.

It appears BWV is selling but I am curious to know at what dollar amt.

OKW as selling resale at $69 2 1/2 years ago it doesn't surprise me that DVC is buying back those offers. I thought $74 was about the going rate for a resale but I am rethinking that now that I have read your posts.

Can someone let me know what $ BWV have passed ROFR. I hate to sell my contract back to Disney.

Wow Mike...you're right. It sounds almost identical except my u/y was April. Hmmm....so they are still selling those OKW contracts at $72?! What did they say at TTS? I guess you could always go safe and pay $73 , but that's really one of those personal decisions that you have to trust your instincts on! What about $72.50 LOL....couldn't hurt to try . I'm rooting for you!

And about that ROFR Club Party at PI....I'm very much IN! Kangaloosh at the Adventurer's Club !!!!!

I passed ROFR on August 18th just 9 days after it went to Disney. We passed at $71 per with us paying all MF's and closing and 26 banked points from "03 and all of '04 available in the DEC '04 UY.

That's great news. Which resort did you pass with? Our 9th day is tomorrow. I don't have high hopes to hear this early. I have to admit I can't think of much else. I was glad to go to work today.

That contract sounds pretty good, but I just don't know what ROFR is going to do with the one on the table. My gut tells me that they will lay off of OKW now and start buying back BWV.

Maybe I'm just a pessimist.

Let me get this straight. Are you all trying to buy additional points in disney or sell you existing ones and purchasin at another disney site? I know I sound crazy but I do not get it.

We are trying to purchase re-sale contracts for various resorts (mostly BWV, OKW, and VWL). For some of us, this will be our initial purchase of a DVC, others are adding -on to their existing contracts. By purchasing resale, we will save a few $$, however, Disney has the right to buy back first, hence (ROFR).

You must be in the system. I was in the system as of last Thursday(I closed 1-2 days before you). Only took 30 seconds to find out. Call tomorrow.

From everything I've seen, paying $73, closing costs & MF is the safe route to go in order to purchase any of the WDW resorts.
