Looking over many boards, I seem to see very opposing views of the BWI. Some say rooms are dated, have mildew, etc. Others seem to love it. I'd like to hear from any who have recently stayed there. Also--is it worth the extra $$ to go concierge when we(2) will be in the parks alot? Would like to get up and just walk down to the continential breakfast etc. Thanks in advance.

I stayed in room 5269 BWI in Feb. Our room was clean and fresh. The only part that was at all dated or worn was the shower/toilet area. There the tile looked a little worn and the area should have been lite better. But we loved BWI. The housekeeping staff was great and so were the other staff we encountered (lobby and pool). I think the BWI had been refurbished prior to our visit, they were working on BWVs while we were still there.

We did not stay concierge... decided it was not worth the extra $$ for us. We had most of our breakfasts either on the BW or in our room with take out items from BWBakery. We liked to eat light in the a.m. and get off quicker.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend BWI based on our wonderful week there!:D

BWI is our absolute favourite resort!! We have stayed in all of them (moderate and deluxe) and love BWI best. The rooms are bright and airy, the location is superb, the staff are helpful, blah, blah, blah. You will find many conflicting reports here - I am amaed at the number of people who love the Poly and AKL. I would not return to either of these resorts - the Poly was too tacky and AKL rooms were too gloomy. Its all a matter of taste!!! We are going concierge this year at BWI - we are a family of 4 - 2 adults , 2 children 10 and 12 - and feel the extra money will be worth it for us in breakfast and drinks alone. Hope this helps

We just returned yesterday from 8 days at the BWI.... WE LOVED IT. The room was clean and we had a great view of the boardwalk area. We had a huge balcony (right above the sign and entrance for Spoodles). It was very relaxing to sit out on the balcony after a long day and enjoy a drink while watching the crowds walk by on the boardwalk. I have no complaints about BWI and only good things to say... let me know if you have any specific questions :D

Do they have robes in the standard rooms at BWI? If not, can you request them and is there a charge? We stayed in a suite at BC last year and had robes. I loved to wear mine over my swimsuit to the quiet pool late at night. It was so cozy to put on after getting out of the hot tub for the walk back to the room.

Also, any good standard room requests on 1st or 2nd floor?

We will be staying there in May for the first time but have stayed at BC before. Love that location!!!!
