Humans.. not the cats :teeth:

My daughter Belle has 6 toes on her right foot.

She is having surgery in 3 weeks to have it removed. I am a nervous wreck about her having the surgery but its time.

Oh, my! Well, my cat, Belle, is polydactyl, but that's not nearly as impressive as your DD (and my Tigger is, too, but I'll wager that you don't have a son, Tigger ;) ).

I would think that she will have to be off her feel for awhile for that surgery. Doesn't sound like fun! I know someone who has a son who has an extra piece if bone in his foot that was removed last spring and he was immobile for months. How old is your DD?

Oh, I see in your signature that she is 17 months old. Yikes, keeping a toddler happy will not be fun! Hopefully she'll bounce back quickly.

My daughter, now 18, had an extra bone in her foot removed when she was in the 5th grade. She was out of school for 10 weeks. I have to say that seeing your little one being wheeled away for surgery is one hard thing to do. It was heart breaking and I felt so out of control.

Take it one moment at a time and things will be alright.

My prayers are with you and your little one.

Not a son Tigger but I have a cat named Tigger also lolol

Hopefully recovery wont be to bad.. your right.. it wont be fun trying keep a toddler happy.

She is such a little daredevil as it is.

:rotfl2: So you do have a Tigger&Belle! You must think of them when you see my screen name. :teeth: I have so many pets and children that there's a good chance that someone has a child or pet that shares a name with one of them--I also have a Venus and Apollo (cats), Magic and Sheena (dogs) and Alyssa, Ben, Zachary, and Jake (children).

How long do they anticipate the recovery will be for your DD?

My nephew had a high chance of having polysyndactyly (extra fingers/toes), but he doesn't. He was born with a rare skull deformity, and for whatever reason, these skull syndromes usually have duplications and fusing of fingers and toes, too. But thank goodness, my nephew only had very mild deformities of his fingers, with no extra anything, so he is very fortunate. My nephew's syndrome is called Acrocephalopolysyndactyly. Now say that ten times!! :teeth:

To the OP: Does your DD have any other health concerns?? Saying prayers for a sucessful surgery! :)
