Any other parents way too excited?

We leave in 8 days! I'm beyond excited. Suitcase is halfway packed. The kids are going nuts. We just told them 2 weeks ago and they are so excited. It's my 4 year old daughter's first trip and one we will never forget. MNNSHP, Be our Guest, BBB and meeting Anna and Elsa. It will be amazing!

We're going in 9 days! I'm so excited - probably more than anyone... DD (4yo) is excited (we haven't told her that we'll be seeing A&E), or I think she'd be much more excited!

We're going down for our twins' (16 mo) first haircut - DH said this was probably the most expensive first haircut on the planet!! :)

We check in 3 weeks from today and have our first day at MK 3 weeks from tomorrow, and I can't wait!! DS who just turned 4 a couple weeks ago has been asking practically daily to go to DW since he was 2, and I booked this trip over a year ago. We've told him he can go after he's 4, and he's been asking if we can go/when we can go before nap and before bed every day for as long as I can remember now! We aren't telling him until we're on the way, and I so can't wait to see now excited he will be. We're staying at AofA in a cars suite, which will blow his and his brother's mind (other DS turns 2 the day we leave to drive down). I will probably cry like a baby when I see how excited my oldest is!

ME!!! I am beyond excited! Like jumping up and down excited lol. Our kids are 5, 2 and 1 and the 2 year old will be turning 3 while we are there. Its our first trip to DW and the kids are going to be so excited! They constantly ask to go to Disney and to go on an airplane to the point that they get mad when they see an airplane fly over head and they are not on it.

We are waiting to tell them until that day and I am so excited. All of my free time has been consumed with planning this trip. I don't know what I am going to do with my time when its over... Well probably just plan the next one ;)

I am! I'm bursting at the seams! lol My kids are 6, 5 and 2 and it will be the older 2's third trip and the youngest's second trip. They have no idea this time and think we have been talking about a trip next year. We are planning what we would consider a dream trip and doing MNSSHP, then my oldest will be turning 7 during the trip and the first MVMCP of the season!
They talk like crazy about next year and are so excited! We have a DIS member sending FGM to them (from Mickey). We check the mail on the way home from school and I plan on letting them get the postcard out and the oldest will probably read it right away. It will say something along the lines of "I know you are planning to come next year, but mommy and daddy are taking you tomorrow afternoon instead!"
I have almost told them a million times simply because I cannot keep it in! lmao

On the same boat. Went last year over the 4th of july without much planning, and although DS enjoyed it (and I will always have fun at WDW) it was sort of a disaster! Going again at the end of April 2015, and now I have everything planned to the T. Can't wait to make my ADRs!

I wouldn't be able not tell DS until the day before. I am planning to tell him 2 months before, for his Bday. I am thinking of getting him a WDW kids guide as a present and tell him once he opens it. maybe also some kind of countdown calendar since he is getting good at counting.

I want to involve him in picking out the FP+ as we go over the rides in the guide. Hard enough to wait until then.
I am beyond exited, and determined to prove DH that you can have a good time at WDW, last year he swore he will never return........

I am so jealous of everyone leaving soon. I've been watching crowd calendars and I so wish I was there now. The wait times have been so low for everything. Hoping its enjoyable when were there. I've been starting looking for things for their surprise box. I think I am going to get either one big box or two smaller ones to put their gifts in and then put balloons in them as well so when they open it its even more exciting. It will be part of their Christmas gifts, we are spending so much on this trip but having a 5 and 2 year old Santa still has to come Christmas Eve so they def will be getting more! But oh I just cant wait. I wish December wasn't so far but at least the whole fall/holiday season seem to fly by. I was thinking I need to get all my Christmas shopping done before December 1 because we leave on the 6th and get back the 14th so there's no way I am leaving anything to do after we get back.

Oh. my. gosh. SO excited. 19 days from getting to book Fastpasses! Woot woot  This trip is a surprise for our daughter, though we've been hyping up DW since she's never been...she's been to DL and now reeeeally wants to go to DW...but we're vague, like "hopefully we'll get to go someday." Cannot wait for her reaction.

We started off planning for end of January 2015 then switched dates because of my grad school schedule. So this trip ALSO means I'm on break from school for 6 weeks--so it's even more exciting for me!

I am literally obsessed!! I booked this trip in Feb without a clue as to just how much planning went into a trip. Now I have literally read everything there is to read about Disney. I follow so many different sites on social media and I am on here almost every day... I'm obsessed & my husband thinks I'm insane! Haha! I just cannot wait! We're telling our kids in 31 days and keeping it from them has by far been the hardest part because there are so many times I want to tell them but I know it will be worth the surprise. I have all of these activities lines up for us to complete and movies to watch to really get them pumped before we go. My only regret is that I wish I would have moved our trip up to late Oct to take advantage of the free dining and lower crowds. But I didn't want the kids to miss that many days from school and hubby and I to miss that much work. I thought it would be easier that way to go around the holidays but I'm sure we will have a lovely time regardless. AND we'll get to see the parks decorated for both Thanksgiving and Christmas because I've been told that the transition happens almost overnight. Ahh, I just can't wait!! I think I will be completely depressed that it's all over when we come back. lol

Yes! I only started planning this trip 3 mos in advance but now I feel like I've studied enough to be a pro WDW trip planner. My DH thinks I'm nuts. And where I live it isn't cool to love WDW, so I have to keep it to myself. I love the DIS. I feel like I've found my tribe :)

It is very exciting! The biggest piece of advice that I can give is that, things will not always go the way you expect them too, and that is ok! WDW is a very stimulating place, and sometimes that gets to be too much for little ones. Remember to take breaks! You do not need to open the park and close the park. In fact, downtime will keep things going.

Have a magical trip! :)

I am the family planner - and this has been a looong one. We first started planning for our Disney Cruise in December 2011. Due to lots of odd circumstances, the cruise has been delayed until December 2014. Along the way, we decided travelling from Korea was such an ordeal that we want to make the most of our trip. So we added a week as WDW the week before the cruise. I have definitely been more excited than my wife and kids - but they are getting into the spirit of things now that we are so close.

This is our second trip as a family to Disney. We went two years ago when DD was 4 and DS was only 9 months. We went 4 days the weather wasn't great, crowds were high and we didn't know what we were doing. This time I have done SOOOOO much research am asking 100 questions on here and getting the best plans possible. When we first booked the trip I was on here so much and looking at everything Disney. Then I stopped for a bit but now that its less than 100 days away I am so excited again. I feel like a kid. It's hard not telling mine. But they are only 5 and 2 so were waiting till the day before. I just cannot wait. Everything about it excites me. My husband not so much but I love it all and I can't wait to see their faces this time. Especially my son since he'll have a better idea whats going on this time even though he wont remember it. I feel like a crazy Disney mom :yay:

I'm just as excited. I have 2 sons, 1 just turned a year and the other is going to be 8 next month. My older son has been to disney 3 times so next trip with be his 4th. My younger son we took when he was only 8 months and it was tough we had to pack formula and baby food and throw away silverware. Plus the baby didn't like any of the dark rides. And for most of the trip we spent a lot of time split up only meeting each other for dining. My husband stayed with my younger son while I went with my older son and did all the big kid rides. This time around when we visit my younger son will be 20 months old so he will be able to handle disney a bit better. I've also reworked my travel plans so hopefully we won't have to spend the trip split up again. But it's always fun in the planning stages. And I'm excited about what we are going to do differently so we can have fun altogether lok

I am so excited and now that we are only about 40 days out from our trip I can not stop talking about everything Disney. I am also starting to panic that I have not done enough planning. I need to try to control my excitement until we tell the kids this weekend bc I think they are starting to catch on.

I have entered a new phase today...disbelief. It's hard to fathom that we're almost there. Now my procrastinator tendencies are coming out. I'm telling myself I have plenty of time to get everything done.

It's weird because in the last couple weeks I've been positively frantic trying to make sure everything is covered.

Five days. I can't wrap my mind around it.

Hit the 60 day mark at 12am and now it feels so close, especially since I was up until 12:30am booking FP+!!!! We've been planning this trip since last fall and lucked out with renting point for VGF so I can't wait!!!!!

I have a Disney check list on my fridge. I have been staring at it all day. 20 days to go :) Cant wait. I love Disney in the Fall

very excited! My DS doesn't know we're going yet. We're 35 days out. We watched a rerun of the AFV grand finale from WDW last night and he was all into it. Loved the Jedi Training Academy (yes!) and even said he wanted to go to WDW because it looks so awesome. DH and I just said, ok, one day we will. I'm not sure yet how we'll break the news to him, but we're going to tell him soon so he can get excited too. :) Can't wait!

Absolutely excited!

I'm a big 39 year old kid, going to Disney for the first time on 10/4 and staying at Bonnett Creek for a week! This is our first family trip to WDW and our kids don't know.

My wife and I are about to burst with excitement!

I'm so glad I found this thread... I'm not alone with my craziness! :) We leave Nov 1st and we are telling our 6 an 9 year old the day we leave. I'm beyond excited! We have a very busy month (birthdays and moving!) so now I'm worried I procrastinated on buying stuff for disney. I felt like I researched to the level of insanity and now I feel like it wasn't enough.

Does anyone else have extreme anxiety over someone getting sick right before you go? I keep reminding the kids to wash wash wash their hands. I just can't imagine how devastating that would be... So much planning, money and excitement. I know I shouldn't worry but it's driving me nuts!
