I didn't go to work today, I'm just too worried about my HCG results. I went in this morning to the RE's office for blood work. They took Progesterone, Estradoil and HCG. I'm anxiously awaiting the results. I'm so worried... grrr.. I can't help it!!!
I took another HPT today to see if the line got darker. It did a little, so that made me feel better. But still I know everyone tells me that every preg. is different, but I'm just not feeling ANYTHING this time around. So wierd.
I called out of work today and told my boss what's going on. She knew what went on the last two times and I figure if I tell her the truth, she won't get mad that I took off work today.
OK, I'm back to watching Ellen!!

AHH!!! My blood tests came back!!!!!!

Progesterone 58!!!!! (TWINS??? :confused3 )
Estrogen 693!!!!!
HCG 95.8!!!!!

I'm so happy that things are looking good!!!!

Congratulations Diznylvr!!! :)

I don't post here much anymore but I still read when I can and I'm still thinking about all of you.

FirsTimertoDiz: When did you begin your Clomid this cycle? You, Jen in NH, and I will all be within days of each other this cycle! :) Here's hoping we'll all get good news!! :thumbsup2

Happy Monday to All!!
-Christal

Hi Christal, I started my round #2 last Friday, so tomorrow is my last day. I am up to 100mg this time around, because the 50 didn't work- my day 21 progesterone was 1.0. I felt no side effects last month until a week or so after I had finished taking the pills, and then it was really only some relatively mild hot flashes.

This time, I feel awful! My mood swings have been horrendous, and I just feel "blah." I have zero energy, and I feel nauseous all day long. I guess maybe this means it is working?

So anyway, I am on day 7 today, and hoping to get good news on prog this month- I should have my results before we leave for our trip, so at least that is good. Good luck to you, and the three of us will have to keep checking in on each other- moral support is always a good thing!

Well, I haven't been posting because I'm just too bummed. I've been reading, though.

I'm going to pick up my provera and femara tomorrow. So I should be starting the femara in about a week and a half. I'm just too depressed to wait any longer, and I POAS today because the girls have been sore, so I was thinking maybe...but apparently not.

Aurora... I know how you feel. I'm starting to feel like it will never happen. After 17cycles...well, I'm just really down about the whole thing as well. AF should arrive at the end of this week, so I'm sure I'll be moving on to cycle 18. :( I think that's where I am...It's been so long I get confused. :sad2:

OMG, WOW!!!! That's AWESOME!!! I'm so happy for you, and I'll continue to send you lots and lots of good vibes!!! (How bout you send a little bit of that baby luck my way, huh? ;) )

FirstTimer: Sorry about the Clomid side effects. We were telling some friends of ours about the Clomid just before I took it last month, and they wished my DP "Good Luck"!!! (they had been through the Clomid process before, with horrible side effects, needless to say...LOL) But I'm still not having anything serious. (keeping fingers crossed) So anyhow, we'll have to stick together this cycle, you, Jen in NH, and I!!

Hugs to Aurora and skuttle...:grouphug: :grouphug:

I got some of the results of the blood work back yesterday. My FSH and thyroid were good, Prolactin was 13.2, Estrogen was 41, and there are still 2 more tests that take a little longer, so she expects to have those back next week. She was happy with all of that though, so that's good. There was one test, however, that she said usually takes longer, but on mine, it showed right away some mutation that indicates a stonger likelihood of multiple miscarriages. It makes it so that my body doesn't absorb folic acid properly. So she put me on FolTabs twice daily to help with that.

It's so strange...I definitely feel like I'm in better hands than I was before, but I still SO feel like I'm just along for the ride...LOL. I know, it sounds silly...LOL

Hope everyone's having a good short week!! (course I have to work Friday...BOOO...But I sure am looking forward to Turkey Day!! :thumbsup2 )

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: Of course.. here's some good luck dust!
Your tests levels are looking good. What test indicated liklihood of miscarriages??? i've never heard of that before... hmmm... Actually my RE called again last night and said as a precaution to start taking baby aspirn every day just in case.

So I'm on baby aspirin, dostinex and pre natals. I'm taking more drugs now than I did when I wasn't pregnant!!
I go for my 2nd blood test tomorrow AM to see if things are multiplying correctly. Please wish me luck! :goodvibes

Sounds great!! Good luck with your blood test tomorrow!! I know what you mean about the drugs!! LOL I've never taken so many pills/shots in all my life!! :scared1: ;)

She didn't name the test or the disorder, so I really am not sure what test she was referring to. But evidently it's a genetic mutation that can cause a greater likelihood of miscarriages due to the improper absorption of folic acid. But she didn't seem too concerned about it, and seems to think that with the FolTabs, we can get it under control. let's hope!

Anyhow, you keep up the good work, and get good numbers tomorrow!!! :cheer2:

Hi ladies! Anyone mind if I jump in with the group? I posted once way back when the thread started in May 06, but I disappeared because I didn't want to think too much about the whole TTC thing. I went back and read my post and was tickled because it was right before my last 4 kids came along (they came into our lives in June 06.)

Anyway, we have been TTC for 7 years now. We love all of our adopted kids completely, but we don't feel that our family is complete, so we are finally really trying for a baby. Things finally fell into place where we have the money to try treatments and a doctor that is not horribly expensive, and we are really excited.

I am in the middle of my cycle, on my first round of Clomid. I had 3 follicles this month, and ovulated on my way to the office for our IUI yesterday. Everything has gone perfectly, except DH's motility was low (only 20%). Anyway, I am way too optimistic this month, and I know I am setting myself up for a let-down, but oh well. I figured that since I am already obsessing in my head, I might as well obsess here too!

Welcome, Kristy!! :grouphug:

I just "RE"-joined here too after a break from TTC! We looked into adoption, took classes, got homestudied, then realized that we really want the whole experience of having a baby. We'll maybe look into adoption again later once we have a baby. Sounds like you've already got your hands full!! :thumbsup2

Things sound VERY good for you this month!! :thumbsup2 I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and send lots of good vibes your way!! :goodvibes

Anyhow, welcome back!!

Oh, and BTW, DznyLvr, I did find out more about the gene mutation, and it is called Methylene-tetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR C677T).
Complicated name, but the way it was explained to me is that it can cause birth defects and miscarriages, as well as heart problems and blood clots, all due to a folate defficiancy. So it's basically treated with FolTabs, which are just a HUGE dose of folic acid (like 10 times the normal minimum dose recommended for pregnant women) in combination with other B vitamins which all work together to help the body absorb the folic acid.
Hope that helps for anyone who was even a little bit curious...LOL

Again, I'm anxiously waitiing for the RE's office to call with my HCG results for today. I was comparing HCG results online with mine and of course mine are lower than what people listed on the TCOYF website. But the RN said everything looked good so I guess I can't get too worried about that.
Anyway, I still have no symptoms whatsoever. Actually I think my bbs are the smallest they've ever been :confused3 I just wish I had something.. some sign of good things to come. I was reading that bbs get sore in pregnancy because of an imbalance of estrogen and progesterone. I know my estrogen and progesterone are EXCELLENT, so this just doesn't make sense. Do I NOT have an imbalance and I'm supposed to??
Well, really the only thing I have is a hungry feeling all the time. THATS IT!
This is just driving me insane!

 Hang in there!!!

I was worried about my first HCG levels as well. At 14dpiui it was in the sixties. I would see on other sites that women has numbers in the hundreds. The Dr. said as long as it doubles correctly the number really doesn't matter.

As for symptoms I really didn't have any either. Infact my bbs still have never been sore and I've gained over a cup size.

Does you Dr. have your first ultrasound scheduled? That was when I was able to relax a little bit...at least during the u/s...but I still have not stopped being a worry wart :rotfl2:

The RN said I'd have to get an ultrasound at about 6 weeks. So I don't have one scheduled yet. But as for the BB problem (lol) usually before AF they hurt. But in the past few months since I'm taking my prolactin lowering medicine, they haven't really hurt. I'm still on the medicine (Dr.'s orders) and it seems like the girls are smaller than ever!!!
But my progesterone is really good and high at 58 and my estradoil (sp?) was in the 600's. I'm not sure what the levels are supposed to be, coudln't find that online, but the RN said those are good numbers. I know the progesterone is excellent. All these hormones flying around my body and no symptoms :confused3
I guess I'll just have to wait and see. Hopefully the HCG will be over 200. If not, I should expect another m/c. At least I'll know before hand and it woudnlt be a suprise.
I'm trying to think good thoughts, it's so hard.

My doctor also said it is the doubling you want, the actual number is not all that important. I think I had my blood drawn 4 times before they were comfortable that things were progressing as they needed to. I had a very early u/s because of a previous ectopic pregnancy.

My bb's were sore, but that was my only symptom. I actually called my midwife complaining that I didn't have enough symptoms. She said everyone is different. Don't put too much stock in other people's experiences.

Can't wait to hear more good news. Have you told anyone yet?

Denae

Day 2 of clomid. so far so good. Mildly cranky. The worst is the hot flashes! whew! Although today I welcome them as it is freezing!!

I left to go to work today before the snow plows came and slid my car really hard into a curb--it broke my hub cap! So I turned around and came home. Told my boss I was tele-commuting today. I hate snow!!

I also hate TTC. In the beginning, it was fun and exciting. It's been a year now, and I am so over it. I am very frustrated after this last failed IUI. The nurse said to keep my hopes up--that the second or third time could be the charm. I am tired of keeping my hopes up and staying positive. I just want to be a mom!!

So sorry for my bout of negativity there---I hope you all have a happy (and fruitful) Thanksgiving.
