Okay... lurker no more. In need of some of this baby luck. I've been reading the posts and watching how one by one baby luck has come to so many of you. Congrats! Now hoping it continues to rub off.
First off is anyone here trying and 35 or older? Anyone have success over 35yrs? I currently have 2 boys, one through adoption and the other came along after 10 YEARS of medical assistance. It's been 5 years since my son was born and we were hoping to add 1 more child to our family. This time with no medical assitance. I'm also done with temping, charting, Clomid and O tests. Might be open to that Geritol thing. Anyone have experience with that??

Wasn't sure whether I should post here or on the menopause thread.:) Convince me that I have a few years left until the egg carton is empty.:sad1:

My DW was 35 and 37 when she became pregnant with our DD6 and DS4. Both pregnancies were uneventful and resulted in two healthy Munchkins. 35 is definitely not too old to try!

OK here's what I mean about FAINT positive... Am I crazy???

You might want to try the new "digital" pregnancy tests that have an LCD display that tells you the results. They have a built in sensor that interprets the lines, presumably better than we can. We also like them because it spares us that agonizing 1-2 minutes where we can't tell what's going on with the two lines.

haha.. the funny thing is, it's darker than in looks in the picture, so there's definately 2 lines ... I didn't want to try the digitals this time, i actually wanted to see lines. The 'faint' line came up right away.

Cool, Congratulations!! :goodvibes

DZNYLVR--I'll just whisper (congratulations).:ssst: Thinking positive thoughts for you.

Rebecca--I can't believe your ticker says 23 weeks! It seems like just yesterday you got your BFP!! How cool to have your sister pg at the same time.

First, Elaine, I am sooo sorry about this being the 1 year anniversary of your loss. :( I can't imagine how difficult today has been for you. I am glad that you will have a healthy little baby in just a few more weeks though.

Dznylvr~ Congratulations!!! I was absolutely convinced last month that I wasn't pregnant despite timing things perfectly, charting, using OPKs, you name it. I had no pregnancy symptoms either and I just felt it didn't happen. I broke down and tested at 11dpo with a line test too just to see but I wasn't holding out hope. Imagine my surprise when I saw 2 lines! I did rush out right away and buy a digital test just to confirm. Anyway, I know you have a history of m/c so I am keeping my fingers crossed for you this time but I did want to let you know that the lack of symptoms does not mean you will lose this baby. I had tons of symptoms with my daughter right away but absolutely none (except a couple of pimples) until I was 5.5 weeks this time (then the nausea started...ugh!), and I've known a lot of others that didn't have symptoms as well. Congrats!!!

Beth~ I'm sorry about your cat. I've been there and it is terrible to lose a pet. :( I'm also sorry about AF showing. I hope next month is it for you!

Denae~ Glad you and your dh made up, even if you did have to let him have the last word. ;)

Good luck to everyone else!!

Dznylvr...Congrats! Looks like a positive to me!! Wishing you a sticky one this time. :goodvibes

I couldn't sleep last night so I woke up at 3am and took another test (I AM CRAZY) and it's the same faint positive as the first one. I think today I'm going to try another brand of test. Even though only 12 hours went by between test #1 and test #2.. lol... I'm just so worried considering my past, I'm trying to think to myself.... whatever is going to happen is going to happen, at least I can get pregnant rather quickly (now I've 'tried' three times to get pregnant and got pregnant 3 times!, I must be SUPERFERTILE), so it will only be a matter of time before I actually have a baby.
Thanks for all your good thoughts! :)

Well I went out and got some more tests :) This time I got the real deal ones... First response!! AHHHH!!! I guess today is 11 or 12DPO depending if I O'd that day after my positive OPK or 2 days after, since that's when the temp dip was...

Dznylvr -- congrats -- that is definately a line!! I am happy for you!!
Sending you lots of sticky vibes.

Hi to everyone else -- I have been reading this thread still - just not really posting -- but I am thinking of you all!!

Hugs,
Nicole

thanks for the sticky vibes!! I called the RE yesterday and he told me to come in on monday for hormone tests. He also told me to keep taking the dostinex (my prolactin lowering medicine) for a few months. I have no preg symptoms except occasional wierd taste in my mouth, tiredness, and feeling hungry all the time. thats it! I pray this one sticks.

Diznyluvr- CONGRATS!! Here's lots more sticky vibes being sent your way!!

THanks for all the congrats, even though I didn't want them! LOL
Well I've been having this wierd feeling, it's like I'm hungry, but nauseaus at the same time...Even after I eat, I still have this wierd feeling. Hopefully this is a good sign, I'm still thinking this is really not gonna happen because I just can't help it, but I'm really trying to think to myself, whatever happens will only be for the best in the long run.

Anyone want to share some "old wives tales" about ttc? Heard about the Geritol one but am also curious about others. Ya just never know what might work or fool your mind into thinking it does.

Also, if anyone wants a good support group try hannahs prayer.org. Have been a part of them for years and found it a great help for those days when I just couldn't get my mind off ttc.

Well, not this month. AF just showed up again. On the bright side, it was only a 6 week cycle instead of a 12 week one! Of course, this is the week where I have no time to go into the office for a check before I get the next Clomid rx. I don't know if they'll write the script without an exam - they've seen me enough to know I don't hyperstimulate.

Maybe next month.... :guilty:

:grouphug: So sorry AF had to show up. I am glad you see a bright side in the fact that your cycle was 6 weeks instead of 12 weeks- it means something is working, right? Good luck on Clomid- I am on my second round of it myself this month, so we will only be a few days apart....here's hoping for some baby dust coming our way!

DznyLver: Yaayyy on the BFP!!! Here's to a healhty, uneventful pregnancy!! :wizard: I know you're afraid to get too excited just yet, and that's understandable. But we're excited for you! Good luck and positive vibes!! :thumbsup2

Jen in NH...Sorry about AF. I'm in the same boat as you. I just started round #2 of Clomid yesterday...Here's to another adventure!!! :rotfl:

FirsTimertoDiz: When did you begin your Clomid this cycle? You, Jen in NH, and I will all be within days of each other this cycle! :) Here's hoping we'll all get good news!! :thumbsup2

Happy Monday to All!!
