Beth, I can't believe what that is like :( I am so sorry that they are saying it to you. Though I wonder if it has more to do with how your face looks than your body?

Aurora, I'd be a bit upset if I had to wait for that  However, keep in mind you CAN take cough syrup as long as it is Robitussin and also Tylenol Cold is safe.

I've been busy but reading when I can. I am dealing with fixing something minor on my car that has turned into a real PITA ;) I had my glucose test on Weds and another one since I am O- and we know my DH is O+. Since I never drink soda, that stuff was horrible and made me all phlegmy so I was nearly gaggy.

Best wishes to everyone else! We're off to run errands before the games start.

Beth~ I was asked if I was pregnant about 2 months before we conceived my dd. It ruined my entire day and was so upsetting! I'm sorry you are dealing with it too.

Kelly~ I'm so sorry AF showed for you too! I am sure in a month or 2 if I am still not pregnant I will feel the same way. I am trying not to get discouraged right now since we did just start trying but I was a little disappointed of course.

mushu~ As a mom to a 2 year old, I can vouch that they will definitely keep you on your toes! My dd hasn't really broken anything but she did manage to get a steak knife and stab a banana once (because she wanted it unpeeled and I was in the bathroom and she seemed to think cutting it with a knife would do the trick) and she knicked her finger doing so. I almost had a panic attack when I came out of the bathroom and realized what she had done. Her little finger was bleeding, though not much, and the banana was sitting on my bathtub with the knife stabbed straight through the center of it. She had gotten a chair and scooted it to the kitchen counter, and then climbed on the counter and got the knife. For about a month afterwards she would tell everyone that the banana cut her finger. She put no blame on the knife at all. Needless to say, all things that could potentially harm her are now out of climbing distance (until she proves me wrong that is!)!

Aurora~ I had a terrible, terrible cold when I was pregnant with my dd. I was miserable. I took the alcohol-free Robitussin that my doc recommended. Well, it turns out I am allergic to Robitussin. It makes me much worse...my cough gets much more unbearable and I have trouble breathing, etc. My mom told me later, "Oh, yeah, you had the same reaction to it when you were a kid too." Unfortunately, I didn't know that before I took it while pregnant. Needless to say, I won't be taking it again. I can't remember now if I took something else that the doctor recommended or not. It's been a few years. I do know that he gave me a list of meds that were safe to take though.

On a side note, we discovered last year that my dd is allergic to Infant Pediacare. She had the same reaction to it as I did to Robitussin. Go figure! That's the only part I hate about medicines, you don't know if you will be the lucky one to have an adverse reaction to it until you try it.

I can have Robitussin? The pharmacist told me nothing was safe! You're lucky I'm not pledging my undying love to you or something. That's the best news I've heard in days (other than the news that we got our house!!).

I'm off to the drug store.

skuttle, I can't believe it either. What's the point?

Aurora~ Look for the alcohol-free version of it, that would probably be safer if you are pregnant.

Bumping....just because the women here are too wonderful to be stuck on Page 6!

Well...I'm not. I'm going in though, because they want to help me figure out what is going on. 8 weeks, 3 days...that's insane. I don't think even my level of stress could do that...

Thanks, Carla. :)

Aurora..I'm so sorry. I know you were thinking you probably weren't pregnant after getting so many BFN's, but having it confirmed is still hard. Hopefully your doc will be able to figure out what's going on.

Happy to see you, Carla. How was your appointment yesterday?

Aurora - I hope they can figure out what is going on with you. I am guessing they will give you some medicine to get your period started, and then wait and see if your cycle straightens out.

T&S - thanks for the "boo." I couldn't get the darn thing in my siggie, though - even with the great instructions. :rotfl:

Aurora:  I hope your Dr. can figure out what is going on.

To all the other wonderful ladies

Now back to the :laundy: I go.........

Aurora, I'm sorry. But, it's great that your doctor is being proactive and not just letting it go like some do.

I just had blood drawn yesterday. I called for my results, but the dopey lab didn't process my progesterone so now I have to wait until tomorrow. Yep, that's annoying. I go in on Monday to see my OB. I thought I was going to wait until 10/16, but she wanted to see me next week. :guilty: I have to come face to face with the woman I laughed at when she told me to use birth control. :scared: The nurse said she wasn't mad though. :) Still tired and queasy....the "girls" are getting sore....no spotting....mild cramping.....took another test yesterday morning, still positive.

Now, I just need the numbers to comfort myself.

Don't worry. I bet she will be as happy for you as I am. "Hey, haven't you figured out what causes that, yet?" I can't tell you how many times I heard that. Come up with a snappy response.

Allison - I see you have lost 3 lbs. - congrats, and keep up the good work! Could you send a little will power my way? I am supposed to go to a wedding in December for my best friend from college, and I am thinking about not going because I am so heavy.

Anyone want to come to VT to do my kids' homework with them every night? :scared1:

Have a great day, everyone!

Denae

Wow, Carla! Congratulations! I hope this pregnancy is easier on you. You deserve it. :goodvibes

Denae...Thanks! I figure it's been 4 YEARS since I had DS...I should start trying to loose the damn weight! LOL! I kept putting it off thinking, I'll get pregnant soon so why bother. So much for that! :sad2: I didn't go to my 10year high school reunion last summer because I was upset with my weight and was embarrassed. I kept hoping I'd get pregnant so I could blame it on that, but, as you know, that didn't happen. Hopefully I'll be nice and in shape for our Feb WDW trip! Either that, or pregnant! At this point, I think I have better odds on getting in shape. At least my TTC issues have finally given me the motivation to loose all of the weight I put on!

Hi everyone... just back from a lovely trip to Disney! I'm so sad that it's over, and more scared that now I know it's almost time to try to get pregnant again. I have a RE appt Oct 24th... Then he can tell me what the heck is still wrong with me!

Anyone have a good, supportive IVF site they'd recommend? I was on fertility friend, but didn't renew my subscription because I got tired of feeling sorry for myself when comparing myself to some people there with no fertility trouble!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!!

Not much new here. AF arrived over the weekend, but that wasn't much of a surprise. I was sick around O this month so a lot more sleeping going on than BD'ing. I think this month I may start temping again. Really, I'm just waiting until I go back to my GP later this month. After I see her again, and do another glucose test to see if weight loss/exercise is helping with the insulin resistance, I'll probably call by gyn to see where to go from here. This is cycle 16 for me, and cycle 6 since the chemical pregnancy. My gyn seems more focused on months TTC since the chemical pregnancy rather than when we first started.

Jennifer...I haven't tried IVF, but many on here have so I'm sure someone can point you in the right direction! It really does help to discuss this stuff with people who have been there.

Dzny...Glad you enjoyed your trip!!

My pregnant friend leaves for WDW on Thursday...just another reason to hate her! ;) Kidding! We actually got together on Saturday night. She's not showing much and didn't talk about the pregnancy at all with me, so I made it without crying. I cried before we left, though...I guess not knowing how I'd handle it started to get to me, plus AF arrived that same day.

Tonight DH is having a meeting with his students and their parents about the WDW trip! I'm excited about going to the meeting (I'm volunteering to notarize some of the release forms the parents have to sign)...can't wait to hear some of the questions since many have never been! Some of them are so clueless! I made a one page front/back sheet with some info about each park, dinner reservation info, fast pass info, etc. It's been keeping me busy.

DznyLvr2005-I'm glad you had a great trip!!! Good luck with your RE appt. It's almost here!! Keep us updated :goodvibes

Allison-Have fun at the meeting!!! I'm also glad that the visit with your friend went well :goodvibes . Also Congrats on losing weight!!!! :cool1:

skuttle, sorry about AF. Have you met with a nutritionist yet? If not, I can give you info that mine gave me (I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes). It's also for patients with insulin resistance. It's basically a menu plan.

DznyLvr2005, I hope you get some answers soon.

Amber, I have an appt with a dietitian in a couple of weeks and then I go back to my GP a week or two after that. GP wants me to have lost 5 pounds by then, so I'm way ahead of schedule. GP told me to stick to 60 carbs per meal and 15 carbs per snack until I get in to the dietitian. My mom is diabetic and so is my grandma, so I'm lucky, I guess, in that I have them there to help me if things get worse! I think my GP wants to run another glucose test after the 6 weeks to see if the diet/exercise is helping or if I need medication. When I put my mind to it and watch what I eat, drink lots of water and exercise, I actually lose weight pretty quickly...it's hard to get started, though! And I have a ton to lose!
