Hi guys

Quick quick quick post cause I just got home from work (9pm) and I have to go back in early tomorrow for more depositions since I have a big trial coming up --- so I won't do individual shout outs but I am thinking of you all!

Some quick things -- Rebecca -- good luck on Clomid.

Lisa -- sorry about the neg testing - but until AF shows up hang in there!

Lovinwdw -- congrats -- Michelle (exwdwcm) and I are both 6 weeks too - I am 6w1day today and I think Michelle is exactly 6 weeks!

***********
I got my 3rd (and final) beta result today -- at 26dpt3dt it was 18,000!

Yeah!! Nurse said it was "perfect!" Ultrasound next Wed.

Meredith -- I wanted to take a minute and write a specific note to you. First - welcome - this is a great board with wonderful knowledgeable ladies. Second - I read your story with great interest because in Feb. I started (and finished) my first IVF cycle using anyomous donor eggs! I was diagnosed last June with Premature Ovarian Function so my ovaries had no eggs and donor egg was the only route for us to go. We thank god had good success and had a wonderful donor who produced only 6 mature eggs that all fertilized but all the eggs were top quality and we implanted 2 embroyos and got pregnant on the first try!

This board is wonderful and everyone has their own story and has been through their own private hell - some of us have been at it longer than others - some have problems - some are fine but TTC just takes time...Prior to you joining - I was the only one here who used donor eggs and one of just a handful of "active" members who has undergone IVF - although as an aside - the other 2 girls who did (allyandjack and Michelle/exwdwcm are both pregnant too!!) Therefore - I know what you are going through and I can relate to your particular fertility issues (at least in a global sense).

So if you need anything - or want to PM me - please feel free. I really see Donor Egg as a blessing for me as it has allowed me to be a mom -- the girls here were wonderful with me when I was first diagnosed and was trying to come to terms with losing the genetic link and they were kind enough to remind me repeatedly that this is my baby regardless of how it comes to me! Now that I am pregnant--- I really never even think of my donor - all I think about is that *I* am pregnant -- as a matter of fact - sometimes I forget a donor was involved at all!

Anyway - welcome - and if you need anything or have any questions about the Donor Egg IVF process please ask!! I have also joined a group on Yahoo called MVED (mothers via egg donation) -that is a great group if you are looking for a specialized egg donation message board!

*********

Ok girls - time for bed for me -- my husband bought a label maker today and he is so excited by it - he keeps looking for things to label -- he just stuck a label to my belly that says "Peanut" with an arrow pointing down! So cute!

In other news - my butt/hip is killing me from the freakin progesterone shots -- 6 more weeks of those! Ugh.

Good night and sweet baby dreams to all!

Hugs
Nicole

Nicole- Thanks for the welcome...It means a lot and it is nice to have someone here to bounce those specific questions to ...I did PM you with a quickie question...

Thanks again ladies!

Meredith

Tiggerlover - 37 is not old to be a mom - nor is 40! Remember that age is just a number - if you feel young and feel good that is all that matters. You have made the decision that you want to be a mom - somehow, someway the rest will fall into place for you! I hope your girls night out was fun! Are you charting?

Aw thanks Nicole! I need to hear that every now and again. My dance teacher was 38 when she had her last and she said if she had it to do all over again, she wouldn't have changed a thing. :goodvibes Girls day hasn't happened yet...we're going THIS Sunday and we are all soooooooo excited!! :cool1: I am keeping track of AF now. I'm on CD13 or CD14. I can't remember if I'm supposed to count the first day I started my period or the next day. If it's the day of, then I'm on CD14. She showed up on day 24 this last time. I'm hoping for about 4 more days before the next one. Just to give me a little more O time. I have certain reasons that I have to wait before DH and I can BD and the extra 4 days would make a HUGE difference. Thanks for being here Nicole! :flower3:

Denise: I hope you're feeling good. My mood is much improved. I really do think it's all those hormones readjusting. SC girls rule!

Jennifer

I'm feeling MUCH better! :thumbsup2 I believe my vitamins arrived shortly after that and I've been taking them everyday. What a difference they have made! I've also gotten my appetite under control. I haven't had anything sweet since March the 8th...nearly a week and that's amazing considering how bad my sweet tooth had been. I've given up bagels because they are just TOO HIGH in carbs. :sad2: I've gone to a lower carb bread and my appetite has really changed. I'm still hungry often, but to me that's a good sign. It means my body is looking for those carbs I don't want to give them anymore. I've given up soda with caffeine. I only drink Sprite, but only about once a week. It's water, or milk while I'm at work. I'm quite proud of myself! :yay: I know it's our hormones out of whack, but hopefully they'll get themselves back in order....and soon! :) GO CAROLINA!! :cool1:

Forgot to mention, My name is Meredith!:rotfl:

:welcome: party:

WELCOME MEREDITH!

These are a great group of ladies! Nicole was one of the first to make me feel welcome and then Helenabear (Elaine) was the next. She and I PM each other a few times a week and it's really nice. DH and I just started TTC last month and it's really exciting. I'm just going to try and sit back and let nature and G-d do thier thing! :) Best of luck to you and hoping you see that BFP very, very soon!

To all the other ladies....HI! And congrats again to all the BFPs in the house! :cool1: :cheer2:

Hi All!

Denise: I think you start charting on the first day of your full period. So unless you woke up with AF, I think the 2nd day would be the first of your cycle month. Fertility friend.com did a great job of explaining. I got the book that Rebecca recommended and signed up for the website. There is a lot of duplicate info so if you were limited on time, I would just do the website. I was a little intimidated by the amount of info, but every day a little lesson pops up in my inbox and now it all makes sense and I can navigate the site pretty well.

I'm on my way to a cooking class to learn how to make homemade baby food! Yeah!!!:cool1:

Jennifer-Thanks for the kind words. :goodvibes I hope your class went well. I have often tossed around the idea of making baby food but I just can't cook so it might be :scared: :rotfl2: Best of luck with charting and I'm sure if you have any questions some of the other ladies will be able to help.

Denise-It sounds like you are on the right track with your vitamins and dropping the soda and such. I hope you get your BFP soon!!! :goodvibes

Ash-I really hope you are feeling better. How scary to go through all that. Let us know how your Dr. appt. went. :grouphug:

Nicole-Wow!!! 18000!!! Amazing!!! Your DH sounds like a sweetheart and very thoughtful. You must be on cloud nine. :cloud9:

Meredith-:welcome: I'm glad that Nicole is here to help you with your questions!!! I hope your results are the same...a BFP!!!!! Best of luck to you :wizard:

Ok, so my OB/GYN called me this morning to let me know that everything looked ok on the ultrasound. I mentioned to her that I was upset and nervous about the blood work numbers not being where they had wanted them to be. She told me that she disagreed with what the nurse had said to me. She mentioned that the doctors do tell people that their hormone levels should double every 48 hours, but in reality, she said, that they should raise 66% every 48 hours, which is exactly what mine did! I am so relieved!!!!

lovinwdw - good news. Now relax and enjoy being pregnant! I went to the doctor yesterday and saw a couple walking down the stairs with what looked to be a 6 week u/s. So exciting! :goodvibes

ash - man, I hope you get your health problems sorted out and start feeling better soon!

Denise - A fellow Tarheel fan! :cheer2: There is no way in heck that I will be able to stay awake to watch the game tonight, but I am going to try!

Meredith - Welcome! You will find a lot of support here. Good luck!

Rebecca - Oh, Clomid. I hope this is the month for you!

Denae

Just stopped by to say hello. Welcome Meredith, I'm new here too. I'm TTCing 5 years now and just started Metformin for possible PCOS. Don't know where I am in my cycle right now :confused3, but I need to get on track.

Hope every one is doing well today. Gotta go for now, have to get back to work

HI DENAE!

I'm not a tarheel fan :duck: I'm from SC...I'm a Gamecock fan! :duck: The Tarheels are cool, but my heart is with my Gamecocks! :cheer2:

Denise-It sounds like you are on the right track with your vitamins and dropping the soda and such. I hope you get your BFP soon!!! :goodvibes

Thanks!

I'm doing my best...AND I try to work out three days a week now. What a difference that has made too. I've also given up bagels and I haven't had anything sweet...candy bars and such in a week. I've lost 3 pounds! :yay: Want to be a healthy mommy! I want to be able to run around the backyard when I'm 50 with my child and not feel like I'm going to pass out.

Alrighty then! I'm on CD15 then.

Let me know about homemade baby food. I eat kosher and need to know how to do that with meats and such for my little one til they can digest the "normal" stuff. I would love to know how to make the chicken and turkey like Beech-Nut and Gerber does. The cream stuff. Give me some pointers so I can practice BEFORE the baby gets here! :teeth:

I keep forgetting to tell everyone...my name is Tracy...hehe

CONGRATULATIONS TRACY! :cheer2: :flower3:

I can't wait to be in your shoes! I just visited my friend's baby registries online and it was wonderful! I can't wait to be able to pick out all the cute stuff for my little one when the time comes. :cloud9:

Alrighty, must eat breakfast now and start to cooking! Talk to y'all later! princess:

Y'all are funny! I have no real ties to the south so I am going for the #1 seed in the south bracket (go ahead and figure that out ;)) that is my alma mater though.

Denise you are so sweet... I do enjoy PMing with you. I actually wish I had more time here to welcome everyone that comes in. I'm just lacking on that for a while

Welcome Meredith!!! I hope you have fun here... a wealth of information as well.

I so would love to hear more about making baby food. I hope it wouldn't be too difficult to use. They just are so over processed lately that it kind fo scares me.

Tracy, glad the doc reasurred you there. I have been told that numbers should double every 2-3 days. So I am shocked they didn't tell you that. Glad all is well!

ARRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH.............

My neighbor is pregnant!! :( :( :( I am just SO upset. Our kids were playing together outside (they're a year apart) and she called her son over after a while to tell us their "secret." I just knew what it was going to be..but was hoping for the best. I tried to smile, and act happy...I really did and I think/hope I did a good job. But I'm just SO sad. So I've got it at work and now at home...all that's left is for one of my friends/family to get pregnant. With my luck, I'm sure that'll happen any day now.

Good news..Milo's mass was benign.

Oh Allison I'm so sorry about all pregnant women around you.

But at least Milo is going to be OK :cool1:

I just don't understand it! I know they always say that's how it happens, but geez! This is getting out of control!! My DH won't be home until late tonight, so to pass the time I'm on the Dis and eating chocolate chip cookie dough. :rolleyes1

Allison: I am so sorry you are everyone else's fertility statue. :sad2: I KNOW it's going to happen for you!

Denise: I will not tell you how to make babyfood, because you have not shown the proper respect to the only real SC school. I need a cute little picture of a tiger, but I can't find one. Oh well, everyone picture a cutle little tiger with Disney ears bouncing up and down.... on a gamecock.

Okay....I'll tell you how to make baby food. It's surprisingly easy. The instructor referenced us to a website she really likes.
http://www.wholesomebabyfood.com/

Basically, you cook stuff, grind stuff up and add a little water, formula, or breastmilk. I learned a lot of little things like bake meat don't poach it to keep the nutrients, and don't add lemon juice to fruit to keep it from browning, b/c the citrus is to acidic for the baby's digestive track. If anyone is really interested, PM me and I'll make a copy of what I have and send it to you.

I got my test results back and they were good. She said they they were in the normal range, but she wanted to retest in 6-12 months if I am not pregnant. I have over analyzed the "retest" comment to death, but when I asked about it, the nurse said the retest comment was always on the lab results for the FSH test. So I have decided to stop stressing about it. Yeah!!!

Have a great weekend!
Jennifer

Hi Guys

where is everybody? You are all out boozing to celebrate St. Patrick's day aren't you!!

Hope everyone is well!

Jennifer -- great great news about your FSH test! So happy for you!

Allison -- I am so sorry that everyone around you is pregnant - I know how much that sucks - - it is so hard to be happy for these people when inside you are dying with jealousy -- all I can say is that it will be your turn again soon!!

Enjoy the weekend ladies!

-Nicole
