That's one thing I'm afraid of. I'm already a D. If I get pregnant....umm...WHEN I get pregnant, I'm going to need to get them specially sewn together for me. Or, never leave the house again and just go bare.

You should take a wander over to the underwire thread going on... I'd be THRILLED with a D (this from a DDD-er, darn those genes!)

I found out one of my good friends is pregnant....and due NEXT MONTH! A year ago in June, she delivered she son stillborn. She went in on a Friday and everything was fine. The scheduled her induction for Monday. She got there Monday and he had died over the weekend. He had something going on with the cord being too long and her having too much amniotic fluid. She has 2 daughters already, but really wanted this boy to be the end. She just melted down. I mean, it was scary. She couldn't be left alone with her girls because she'd take sleeping pills and pass out in the kitchen leaving them to fend for themselves. I'm mad that she didn't tell me. I thought it was because of what I'm going through, but she assures me it's because of the loss of her son. Whatever. Anyway, I asked her if she was ready for this. She said, "No, but my mother kept pressuring me, so I figured I might as well." Gee....I might as well get my hair cut....I might as well eat pasta for dinner....oh, and while I'm at it, I might as well get pregnant. So, while I'm as happy for her as I can be given the fact that she never wanted to get pregnant and only did it for her mother, I can't help but be angry that for most people they can just make the decision and have it happen and so many of us can't. Two years ago today I took my last BCP and declared that we were going to start a family. That's how it's supposed to work, right? I'm not a big believer in God, but I sincerely hope there is one because I want answers.

I can't even imagine... it must be soooo hard to deal with the loss.

On the other hand, if one more person tells me they got pregnant on the 1st try, I'm going to SCREAM!

Well the u/s and bloodwork went well. One follicle on the left at 17 mm The rest are about 11-13 and two on the right about 10 mm. Well I called my OB/GYN or so I thought. She changed practices when her her practice disolved and she doesn't do OB anymore. She delivered my daughter and most of the doctor's in the practice I don't know.. I was practically in tears. I called about it and who I could go to and the nurse goes so and so is a midwife. I want my c section I don't want a f**cking midwife. I want drugs

LisaB - can't believe your OB left and didn't send out any notification (I'm leaving the practice and so-and-so will be accepting my patients, yada, yada). Sounds like your follies are getting there, what day of your cycle are you?

No offense to anyone else out there, but I'm not a midwife type of girl either. My sister is - she was a nurse for a midwife clinic (until she had her son 5 months ago). She did the whole water birth, no drugs, etc. Well... she "attempted" the water birth. Every time the little guy got his head wet, he went back in

I'm just too nervous about it - what if something goes wrong? I want a real MD there!

Lisa - yay for good follicles! I know what you mean about a midwife. I wouldn't mind one if I could guarantee a perfectly routine delivery, but if there's any chance of a problem, I want someone with a LOT of education standing there. I know it probably wouldn't make a huge difference, but I'd feel better. One of my friends is a midwife, and I feel bad that I won't use their practice, but I'm really sure my odds of gestational diabetes are good (already failed a GTT, let alone another while I'm pregnant ) Therefore, large baby. Therefore, higher risk of c-section.

Yep, needing bigger bras scares the heck out of me. I'm already a DD, what more can happen?!?!?!? And I work in a fire department - the clothes already are not designed for women (need to buy shirts for bra size, not for how they actually fit.....). This will just be worse

That's great - I usually don't get anything bigger than a 13 until about day 12. (Usually... like 2 months of u/s constitutes "usually"! Is it time to go home yet?)

My biggest fear is my RE retiring. She's getting up there in age. She can't....not until I'm done with her.

Jen, do they have maternity clothes for your job??

The last thing I want to have to do is go to Lady Grace and get fitting for a special bra. Those women are so pushy. They want to be in the dressing room with you....no, thanks!

No maternity clothes for us! Just order bigger uniforms and a belt to hold the pants up....

One of the other girls was pregnant last year, and is normally a size 2, so having to order large tops to fit her looked hysterical!

Carla my RE has me starting at 225 units of Follistim. YAY that your SHG went well and I love your stories about being doped up on meds. I wish I enjoyed meds that much.

FlyingBelle...I'm with you on the DDD girls...I can't even imagine what size I'm going to be when I'm pregnant.

Jen...you should ask for a special exception on clothing when you're pregnant.

7beasley...DH and I did WW's about 2 years ago. We both loved the program and lost a lot of weight. Unfortunately we didn't stick to the plan and gained the weight back. While I'm not fully back on the plan now I'm adding a lot of their philosophies to the way I'm eating. I think that's helped me lose the weight so quickly this time.

I know a missed more...but I need to get some more work done today.

I know that right after I had my miscarriage it was so hard for me to be around pregnant women and especially ones who didn't TTC, or called their pregnancy an accident or weren't thrilled about their pregnancies. At the time my uncle, who was married, got another woman pregnant. This chick had 2 grown kids, who by the way she never took care of. Then she had the nerve to tell me she was just having this baby to give one to my uncle, b/c he and his wife had problems conceiving for years. She basically didn't want a baby but did it for him! Their DD is 3 and is so beautiful but her mom is never with her, the grandmother always is. It is so sad. She's crazy anyway, whatever. She also couldn't understand why I didn't want to go to her baby shower a week after we had lost our baby!!

I have to go in tommorrow for the iui. The only problem is that we have a wedding tommorrow and i have an appointment to get my hair and nails done at 9:30 am and iui is at 11 am. The Mass is at 12:00

Have some tylenol on hand - you might feel bloated and crampy afterwards.

I know I always have trouble the first day. I think I might just meet Kevin at the church. The cocktail hour is at 3 pm. I never have the crampy and blotting part but I probably just jinxed myself

FlyingBelle~ Your nephew is adorable! I just wanted to post and let you know that Kylie had a heart murmur at birth too. The dr. said it is pretty common for babies to be born with one and that it usually doesn't last. Sure enough, by her 2 week checkup she didn't have the murmur. So hopefully that will be the case with your nephew as well.

Pollito~ I was in a small bra size too until I got pregnant. Now I am about 2-3 cup sizes bigger than before. And you know what, I am trying to lose weight and actually want the smaller version of my "girls" back, lol! Of course I also want to get rid of the stretch marks and flabby belly but I digress. And of course it is all worth it in the end.

Carla~ I laughed about the comment about at least she isn't puking and wetting herself. The 3rd trimester is what I remember as the "wetting trimester"! Trust me, it is probably coming, lol! Sorry to bear the bad news to all of you newly preg. mamas! Kylie took up so much room (was nearly 9.5 lbs at birth) and pressed so much on my bladder that I had no control in that area! Maybe everyone else will be luckier than I was in regards to that!

Well, I am more in lurker mode on this thread these days because dh and I have decided to wait before we start ttc. We will probably start next summer. I am thinking a 3 year gap between Kylie and a sibling (if all goes according to plan!) will be better for our sanity at this point. I am not sure we can handle 2 that are only about 2 years apart right now. We are planning to go to St. Augustine next May and enjoy what will hopefully be our last vacation as a family of 3 and then we will probably start ttc next summer. I will not be posting much on this thread anymore because I don't want to hijack it. I will post if I feel I can contribute something, such as the heart murmur thing, but for the most part I will just be lurking until next year!

Just wanted to add that I am hoping that I don't grow too much during this pregnancy. I'm already a D and we were passing a lane bryant and I told DH I would probably have to start buying bras there. He asked why I couldn't just get bras at a maternity store.
All I've heard about maternity store bras are that they tend to be unflattering and uncomfortable. Is this true?

The u's went well I have three mature follicles. IUI went okay just a busy day. I made the Mass arriving just before the second reading. They had an open bar so Kevin is drunk and puking. When he gets like that I want no part of him. Last time I got pregnant he was like that and usually is like I LOVE YOU LISA
