Aloha!

We have a DVC Deluxe Studio - Island Garden View booked for this coming February (very excited!). It's our first, and possibly only, visit to Aulani and I was wondering about recommendations for the best room to request? A view of the mountains would be good, or the luau.

Any help greatly appreciated.

In my opinion, the best view would be a room ending in 73 or 79, highest available floor. There are rooms in that wing with a view of the ocean that are not classified as ocean view so you can possibly get one "for free." The higher up you are, the more likely you are to get the ocean. The lower you are, the better your view of the luau.

There aren't really what I would consider "mountains" per se on that part of Oahu and you can get some traffic noise if you're facing back towards the island.

The most peaceful and quietest rooms would be rooms ending in 11 or 05, which look down on the spa garden. These rooms would also be the most convenient to self-parking if you're renting a car and not valet parking.
