Okay no more talk about GA until Kristy says it is okay ;) I will share more on my thoughts later. We DVR it always just in case. Next week should be interesting.

;) too funny....I really didn't mind if you all discussed it I just knew that I need to do a quick hi and say I'll be back later :) I have watched the show now...so what did you think? I'm definitely ready for next week but at the same time I'm not b/c it means this season is over and I have to wait till September for more Grey's! I will say that I liked the spin-off show so I'm hoping they run with it.

Meredith I have not been to the drugstore. I'll have to try it out one day. I worked at the drugstore in Creedmoor during high school and we had the same sort of fountain setup. I used to drink Vanilla Coke's like they were going out of style.

Allison so sorry

my brain is still trying to wake up so I'll apologize now in case I missed someone.

Allison  I am sorry :( I totally understand the charting. My friend is doing that too just for that reason as well.
I think it wouldn't hurt to do the asprin and juice since they are cheap. Mucinex is great but $$$ not sure I could justify doing that monthly. But... I do hope next month is better for you!

Sue, we were going through similar thoughts... what were we willing to do to get pregnant. For us, in the end, it seemed like not much at all. Particularly to me... no to my DH that would be a whole other story ;)

I wanted to tell you all that after talking to my friend this week, she thanks all who gave any insight. It seems like now her cycles are all about 20 days. The doctor doesn't believe she is ovulating, which my friend can't' tell for sure. A few months it looks like she is, and others it doesn't. This is proving a huge problem for her with taking the blood test on CD 21 because she hasn't had one in 3 months now. She truly appreciates everything and even though she just went in to talk, she wants to do it again.
For those who saw RE, did you have to be referred to one? I think she wants to jump to one since she doesn't like this doctor much. I realize that it is insurance dependent, but I thought I would ask to see how all others had to. She doesn't have a named primary care physician if that matters.

If I have to see an RE my OB-GYN will refer me. My insurance doesn't need a referral, it is more to get me into see someone without having to wait for an opening. As for the CD21 test...it is supposed to be 7 days after ovulation (or detection of your LH surge) but if she is not ovulating then it would not mean much anyway. I hope she finds someone who can help her. I'll keep her in my thoughts :goodvibes

I'm so sorry Allison  I hope your next cycle will be the one.

I had some spotting at 4dpo but it seems to have gone away. It wasn't bright red so I'm trying not to worry, but I'm still kind of worried.

Hi everyone. I need to wait until June before we can TTC again since I recently miscarried. Who knows maybe get that little Disney sovenier! ;)

Anyway, for those of you that are trying and not been through fertility testing I have a recommendation. If you can get the Clear Plan Easy Fertility Monitor. You can find it at your local Walgreens store. It is not cheap around $200 and the test sticks are another $50 for 30 which is about three months worth. It really does work! I got pregnant the first month I used it! Takes all the guess work of when to TTC! I also used the baby asprin and Robitussin, too. Also keeping your bottom elevated for half an hour after TTC helps. My uterus was tipped and this was recommended to get the happy little swimmers where they needed to go!:thumbsup2

I will taking my monitor on vacation with me!

I'm so sorry Allison  I hope your next cycle will be the one.

Ooooh! That *could* be implantation spotting!! How long until you can test??

Gurgi, according to FF I'm not supposed to test for another 10 days so we'll see what happens :).

Skuttle, I am so sorry. :grouphug:

Well, I did two days of the Clomid and ended up in the hospital yesterday with chest pain. They let me come home this morning after a complete cardiac work up. From a cardiac standpoint everything was fine, the doctor thinks the clomid may have caused the pain. He said it is a rare side effect but does happen. Since I only got two doses in I am not sure if it will do anything. I will talk to my OB tomorrow to see what she recommends. I am also going to try acupuncture since I feel like I need to do something.

LOL Kristy, well I didn't want to say my thoughts on GA until all were ready. As sad as this is, I don't think it matters much if Adele truly miscarries or not. He knows and I think that will make him question if he was the father or not. Though there was a LOT of blood on teh ground, I can't imagine the pregnancy would be viable still. I think it would be sad though... Adele always wanted children and Webber made her wait... until it might have been too late. It iwll be interesting to see.
I just hope that Cristina and Burke get married. I love them together!

Princess Pooh, it could be implantation bleeding. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!!!

2MuchOhana, I am sorry about your miscarriage. How much time did your doc make you take off? I hope the fertility monitor helps you again!

momsully  I hope that you will be okay. That is very scary!!

I've been thinking of you all today. I know how painful this day might be for some of you. It's never a fun one for me because I have no reason to celebrate... and haven't in a long time. Just keep your chins up and realize that for all you who are amazing mother figures to any children, this day is for you as well

Hey girls:

Well...I'm hoping for a little bit of PD for the next few days. I'm having a lot of trouble at work, and it seems that my boss just plain doesn't like me. She wrote me up for offering help to a girl in another part of our department, and then the next day for our big review she said that I wasn't a team player. She nit picked about enough bad stuff that if this review goes in, I won't be getting a raise. I'm actually getting up early tomorrow and going in at 7 for a meeting with her boss, because I told him I wasn't turning in my review until I talked to him.

My hubs told me that they were hiring a PR manager for his company, and I would love to work with him again. I emailed the CEO (who I'm friends with, hehe!) and asked if I could talk to him about it. I miss being my own boss and am tired of political crap.

Other than that...everything else is good. My right rib has been giving me some pain in the last few days, so I'll have to ask at my appointment this week what's going on. Our BDing life (minus TTC at the moment) is back and in full swing again ;) I've lost 17 pounds in the last month, and it seems to make my hubs a little more interested...hehehe.

That is all. I hope everyone had a great day today!

Gurgi, I hope you get the job at your hubby's company :wizard:

It seems like I'm out for this cycle. I had more spotting yesterday and for the first time I have PMS. I never had it before going on the pill and OMG it is terrible! I'm such a *****, I can't even stand myself! At least DH is out of town but the poor cat has been hiding under the bed.

Hi Girls!!

Wanted to let you know that even though I haven't posted in awhile - I read this thread every day and I am thinking about all of you!!

GURGI -- I have followed the story of your surgery and have been so worried for you and was then happy you were on the mend and I am thrilled at your excitement over your EWCM! Yeah -- I hope things are finally back on track for you - you deserve it - it has been a long road. Let's hear some boo-bay reports soon!!

SKUTTLE -- I too have been following your ups and downs -- I had my fingers crossed for you that this was the month - and I am so sorry that AF showed up. As much as it sucks to hear - especially since you are surrounded by so many preggers -- keep your chin up and stay positive and try not to stress - stress affects your body profoundly and you just don't need that now! Any way you can get your August appt moved up - maybe call them and see if they have had any cancellations -- when you finally do get in to see your doctor - talk to him about running some hormone checks on you - including an FSH level! I am thinking of you and sending you good thoughts.

ELAINE -- I am happy that the first u/s went well - I know you don't want to get your hopes up given all you have been through - but this little one seems sticky and healthy and it is your turn! Enjoy!!

DISNEY DREAMER -- I hope you had a great trip to WDW -- I want to go back!! I was sorry to read that your financial options have limited you to 7 more cycles -- have you looked into shared risk IVF, maybe instead of continued clomid/iui (might be similar money...) - anyway - shared risk IVF basically says if you don't get pregnant - they refund you a huge chunk of what you spent (like 75%). Also - have you looked into a 2nd mortgage or some type of loan to finance stuff....we took out a second mortgage for 20K to pay for our egg donor IVF -- it costs me $180 a month for 10 years -- it was money well spent!!

CARLA -- sorry to hear you are losing weight and are so sick! I am praying for you that your labor goes smoothly and easily -- after all you have been through - you deserve at least one part of this process to go well! I can't believe how fast time has flown - you are due any day now! Good luck!!

PRINCESS POOH -- good luck with your 2ww -- hope this is the month for you!

MEREDITH -- what awesome beta numbers!! Sure sounds like 2 little ones in there - I can't wait to hear your u/s report tomorrow!! Don't worry about your lack of symptoms -- I did not have any either and then one day - about 6-7 weeks in - I woke up and was *so* nauseus I thought I would die. So be careful what you wish for - as the symptoms suck!! And will come soon enough!! Good luck tomorrow. Deep breath mom and hope you get the news you want.

LISA B -- Hi -- so sorry to hear about your FIL - hope you are ok!

MOMSULLY -- good luck with your cycle. I did accupuncture prior to my IVF and then for about 2 months after IVF and I am now pregnant-- don't know if accupuncture had anything to do with it but it certainly didn't hurt the process. And as for the needles hurting - I am the biggest baby when it comes to needles you will ever meet and the accupuncture needles did not bother me at all - I thought I would hate it - I instead found it very relaxing.

OCTOBERBEAUTY --- Hi - hope you are well!

MICHELLE -- lots of news going on with you - glad to hear you are starting to feel a little better and that the 12 week u/s went great! So cool they think it is a boy - I asked at my 12 wk u/s and they said they could not tell yet.

GYPSY SUE -- sorry AF showed - hope this month is better for you. Talk to your doctor about the short luteral phase. Also I would recommend the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility"

IMARRIEDGRUMPY -- loved your pickles and ice cream story - so cute!

DENAE -- Hi -- hope your kids are feeling better now.

ASHJOHNSON --- sorry you are so sick - they say it passes around week 14! Hope you feel better soon.

DISNEY GIRL -- welcome back from WDW -- good luck with your cycle.

CHESIRE VAL -- sometimes it takes a little while off of BCP to regulate again. Good luck.

2MUCHOHANA -- welcome -- sorry about your recent miscarriage - glad to have you as part of this great thread.

MADABOUTTHEMOUSE -- welcome - you will love this thread. Good luck with Clomid - we have quite a few girls here on Clomid.

KRISTY/2BEMARRIED -- nice to hear from you again! Good luck with everything. This thread is very lucky with IVF - I think we are 4 for 4!!

GYPSYDOODLEBUG -- good luck - talk to your doctor about having your hormone levels checked - including FSH.

**********************

I am doing well - I am 15 weeks tomorrow -- I am pretty much out of my "morning sickness" now although I still get nauseuous in the morning but it passes by around 11am. I had my 12 week u/s at the end of April and all looked well - the nuchal tests seemed ok - couldn't tell gender yet - tech said it was too early! But did see the baby moving its arms and legs - it was also putting its hand to its mouth - just awesome! After waiting so long to be here - it is amazing how fast time flies -- November will be here before I even know it. I have another doctor appt at the end of May for another checkup. I guess you see the doctor once a month until about month 7 and then more frequently. Can't wait to feel this little peanut kick and to learn if it is a boy or a girl -- end of July/beginning of August - we are going to have one of those 3D ultrasounds so I am super excited about that!!

Hugs,
Nicole

Soooo glad to hear from you, Nicole! :) Glad all is going well.

And, yes, my kids are feeling better, thanks. I got a really bad sunburn this weekend while playing t-ball with the kids. Bad bad mom. I am recovering from my Mother's Day shopping trip. Hannah threw up in the middle of the night, but seems to be o.k. today (and yes, I sent her to school).

I have had very strong feelings about having another baby, or adopting, or foster parenting. I am not sure why, but DH has been the level-headed one, and maybe I just need to plan a Disney trip to get over it! :rotfl:

Denae

Afternoon all...

Princess Pooh...It's okay to have those moody days. I had a MAJOR one Saturday..so I understand.

Gurgi I'll send PD your way for the job with your hubby and everything else.

Nicole it's great to "see" you again. Congrats on your little bundle of joy!

LOL Denae we keep telling you that we're going to rub off on ya ;)

Elaine I had mixed emotions on Adele's pregnancy..probably the same ones that Addison had. I don't think they'll have her miscarry. She could have fainted from lack of food or something. I agree about Christine and Burke. I have to say that Callie is my favorite character and I'm glad she's catching wind of what's happening between George and Izzie. I'm so disappointed in them.

momsully...how are you feeling today?

2muchOhana..welcome to the thread! I've also heard that the monitors work great! They're just a bit pricey.

week 14? That's almost a whole nother month. :scared1:
A good friend of a good friend of mine at church said that her morning sickness was from week 8 to week 12 like clockwork. My good friend said hers only lingered very little after week 12... she had it *really* bad. The worst peaks at about week 9 or 10 at most though, so you've gotten through the worst at least.

Princess Pooh, have you heard about pregnancy insanity? It's like PMS on PMS... I've been a real ***** for the last few months. Probably the first symptom I had looking back. Don't give up yet.

Nicole, nice of you to stop in. I am glad all is going well. I hope you are right. It's just hard since I had no warning before. Once I hit week 12 and hear that heartbeat at week 13 w/o any troubles I am sure I will lighten up more. Also having the due date coming up from the last pregnancy doesn't help. I can't get that out of my mind :(

Denae, have fun planning the trip... though nothin is wrong with three kids ;) (says the youngest of three)

I don't think it was just lack of food there with Adele. Only because there was soooo much blood. I am sure they could do something else to cause bleeding. I do like Callie as well... can't stand Izzy anymore. George has sunk soooo low on my list.

Pregnancy insanity!?! I won't be looking forward to that one bit :headache:

I can't stand Izzie either :sad2: She's been such a snot lately. If she were my surgeon I'd be terrified.

BTW, my name is Shari . I know my username doesn't shorten well ;)

LOL, Shari, princess isn't bad but pooh... well not so good ;) Though I will assume this is for my beloved Pooh Bear :) I try to do my best to remember everyones's names that aren't in sigs, but I am not always the best.
But yes, pregnancy insanity as my good friend calls it is 100% normal. You become *****y, grumpy and a real PITA. I had someone I thought was a good friend of mine change into someone who annoys the heck out of me. I feel like crap half the time and I don't want someone putting a sunshine type of spin on my life. He does that and I finally told him I need to back away becaue I am just plain mean at the moment. Hopefully the hormone surge will go away and I'll begin to like him again in the 2nd trimester.
My good friend was a real witch and a half the first trimester. Once the morning sickness went away and the hormones leveled out she was sooooo much fun to be around again. It was like Dr. Jeckle and Mr. Hyde. No joke! So don't assume that because you are in a bad PMSy kind of mood that it is PMS. This mood is just foul and i cannot wait for it to end!!!

Shari...So sorry that you are suffering from PMS! I always find my patience with DS in the mornings (he's SO slow) is a lot less when AF is approaching. I feel so bad for it afterwards, too!

Nicole...it's so great to hear from you!! Thanks so much for the kind words. I didn't cry this month, so I think I'm getting a better handle on my emotions each month. I would try to move up my August appt, but I think I'd rather wait and have a few months charted before going, just in case she asks about that type of stuff. I've only successfully charted an entire cycle twice after a year!

Gurgi...I hope things work out for you at your job. LIke you need something else to stress over!

Well, AF seems to have been VERY short this month. She arrived late Friday night, and today all I'm having is spotting. Very strange.

So I started grapefruit juice this morning. :crazy2: It's not to the point where I can't drink it, but it's not very enjoyable at all! I'll need to see how much and how long I need to take this stuff because I don't want to do it more than I need to!
