AllyandJack said:Hi, everyone....I don't have time for personals, I got some bad news today.
My OB died Friday. I'm so upset. He's been my doctor for almost 10 years. I waited so long for him to deliver my baby(ies) and infertility robbed me of that, too. He was so excited for me when I saw him on Thursday.
I've spent the morning trying to find a new place to go. It stinks because I got spoiled with only seeing him - I've never been to a "group" before.
I saw that I REALLY liked Elliot Hospital and then I saw that the Bedford Commons group had a nice website and their practice seemed very professional and their doctors have sub-specialties and interest in infertility, so they'll understand what I'm talking about when I explain my situation.
I thought there was someone on here from NH who is going there.....who was that?? Have you been there yet? I really dread this now.![]()
This stinks.
I am so sorry Carla.
It was me that was going to go to Bedford Commons. I called about a week ago to see if I could switch to that practice. Well...I spoke to a woman on the phone who told me that they aren't taking any new patients until January. I explained that I was TTC, and was not currently pregnant, but wanted to come in and meet a dr., see the practice, just to know when I do get pregnant. She just repeated to me that I would be unable to do that, since they aren't taking any new patients right now.
She said if I did get pregnant, then they would HAVE to see me b/c I would have to be seen by on OB within 8 weeks. She said they are short staffed right now b/c 2 of their ob's are on maternity leave. I was also very impressed with Bedford Commons website...but I did NOT get a good feeling when I called on the phone. DH told me to call again and speak to someone else....so I may do that. I know someone else on these boards (Jen from NH?) said they knew someone who worked there and liked it. So, I may call again. I also got the name of another place that is associated with The Elliot - it is called Dr. Montanarella and Associates (624-1638). My girlfriend goes there and likes it a lot. I haven't called them yet, but will probably do so soon.
Good luck making a decision...and please keep me posted if you find someone good that is associated with The Elliot! I am trying to switch from my OB who is in Dover, NH (who I love!), but I am kinda dragging my heels on it! I just don't want to be driving all the way out to Wentworth-Douglas in Dover when I am in labor!
The only good news is that he at least got to hear you were pregnant before he passed. I am sure that must give you a little comfort. Good luck finding a new practice!
Is there any point to keep bd'ing after you O?? Just curious...
Gives you something to do for two weeks...
I'll visit the one in Manchester and see if it clicks...if not, I'm going to NEMC. I'm going to call them today....I don't have much time to fool around.

I don't know what my temps are doing!! This is my first month TTC & temping, so I'm not sure what it all means. I'm on CD16 & thought I would have O'd by now...I'm thinking I might tomorrow?!
