just found this post and i am so glad. We are not actively TTC yet but we decided i will be going off the pill in december whatever the last day of that pill cycle is and buh-bye. We were going to start TTC in september but with WDW in sight i didn't want to be PG at WDW so i held off, for the amount of $$$ i want to go on rides to! call me selfish!
So hopefully Disney will sprinkle some baby dust on us that week and we come home with an extra bundle :goodvibes

I'm going nuts here waiting. I'll hear today. I just don't know when! It's already 2pm! Doesn't she know this is killing me???? I took a digital today so I could see the word "Pregnant". $13. just to see the word. Heck, after 27 months and 4 rounds of IVF, I've earned the right to see the word. :thumbsup2

Jen, that's awesome about the heartbeat! Why are they making you take the test this early? Will you have to repeat it??

Kelly, you have to eat fresh pineapple after ovulation - even the core. They say 2 rings per day. It's supposed to aid in implantation. But, it has to be fresh - not canned or juice - and you have to eat the core. I just ate fresh pineapple. I couldn't bring myself to eat the core. :guilty:

Elaine, have you heard back yet?? They really should call us by noon. It's only right. :teeth:

Lisa, I hope the IUI was nice and easy....at least as nice as something that involves stirrups can get!

I keep picking up my phone to make sure it's working.

Carla is pregnant! There, you've seen the words and you don't have to spend money on tests anymore! I am so happy for you, and I can't wait to see what your doctor has to say. If it is twins, your beta should be way high, so they might be able to guess already!

Welcome Mrs. Viv! Wishing you a wonderful souvenir ;)

Carla, I am so cracking up at you taking the digital to say "pregnant" I admit, that is the one I took first and was FLOORED when it didn't have that not in front of it. Anyway, woo hoo Carla is officially preganant! Yeah, it would be nice if we heard back by noon. Results at my office won't be in until 3:30 at min. So I might call at 4:00 or so to see. Believe it or not, I'm relatively relaxed about it. What will be will be for me :)
What time does the office close?

Jen, so cool that you got to hear the heartbeat. I know that would be something my hubby would just love to hear.

Andrea, this constipation is so weird for me. Constant tightness everywehre there. More pain and "cramps" there than I feel anywhere else. I can't eat roughage much though. It rips my stomach apart. If this does not improve at all with a few things I've eaten, then I will have to look into that Fiber stuff you mix into food. Though I'll try to make sure my DH doesn't accidentally eat it :teeth:

One word for constipation - Total. My midwife let me skip the prenatals if I promised to eat a bowl of Total cereal every day. I felt sooooo much better after that.

Carla, I had to do the glucose tolerance since I was on the Glucophage for insulin resistance. I still have to do the one at 24 weeks, and probably another around 32 weeks. There's something distinctly unpleasant about drinking that stuff with morning sickness...... :)

Jen

CARLA IS PREGNANT!!!!! Now, can I have $13, LOL! I am so so so excited for you! How do you feel (other than elated??)...hoping you hear some #'s this afternoon!

Elaine - I second Denae's suggestion of a fiber filled cereal. And lots of water. Try juices. Mix prune juice into something else if you don't like the taste of it. Glad you are feeling relaxed!

Jen - ah ha! I see! Yeah, the Glucola isn't AS bad as I thought it would be, but when I had to take the 3 hr, OMG! It wasn't AWFUL, but it wasn't chilled, and it was like SYRUP!!! That and having to fast before hand...OMG!!!

I will admit it, I liked the Glucola. I took Glucophage for insulin resistance, too. I failed my 1 hour test, but passed the 3 hour one.

Good luck.

The Glucola tasted like thick orange pop to me. Its SOOO much better when chilled...

What's the orange stuff? That stuff was pretty good. I don't know what it's called, but it was really tasty - sort of like Sunkist. :goodvibes

I got my numbers....332!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I go back Saturday for the repeat. She said "it's high, could be 2". :cheer2:

Good thing I didn't push for having 3 put back! :rotfl:

CARLA!! If I wasn't at work, I would be all about jumping up and shouting WOO HOO!!! What DPO are you with those numbers??? They look fantastic, BTW!!

Yeah, the Glucola tastes like thick Sunkist, I think. Not BAD, but definitely not my fave when I have been fasting. Much better chilled...

Congratulations!!!

Can someone explain the green tea thing? It's been awhile, but now I remember the month I conceived my son was the first time I did the green tea. I just don't remember the details!

Carla! Hooray! Twins - named Denae and Denae. I like it! I am so very happy. Now be sticky little ones!

How about Dean and Denae? Give her one of each for all her hard work!!

Well, maybe she can name the boy mickeyboat and the girl Denae. I'll allow that. And by the way, how about Denae for your little one? :rotfl: I am just cracking myself up this afternoon! :rotfl2:

Hi y'all! Got off the phone with the nurse at my doctor's office. Of course as soon as I hang up the phone, I forgot the number she told me  (all I remember was a 14 and a 9 in that order... I don't remember what came after the 9!) but she said everything looked really good. She said they were rising the way they normally should be. I brought up the bathroom issue and she said it really could be as simple as that. It's very light staining and all the cramping is gone. But to double check we will have an ultrasound next week :) They are very hopeful that the bleeding could mean nearly nothing, especially since I haven't had any cramping since Tuesday.

Carla!!!! I am so happy for you with the numbers! That is great! And twins? I would faint with twins, but feel like I killed two birds with one stone at least ;)

That orange drink doesn't sound too bad... I used to love that orange drink that I got as a kid and they still have (or at least had recently) at McDs!

I appreciate the advice on the foods! I will look into what I can stomach ;) and definitely into the breakfast foods with fiber! I'm not at all a fan of total, but I'll see what their numbers on for that, and go from there.

:cheer2: Elaine. I'll throw out some more sticky baby dust! :wizard:

Denae

YEAH YEAH YEAH Elaine! What a great day around here!

Call back and get your numbers so we can obsess, LOL!!

Another thing to think of, eating a really balanced diet. I know once I started the full blown Gestational Diabetes diet, I didn't have the constipation issues. Balancing proteins/carbs, etc.

Can't wait to hear about your u/s!!

BTW - I have been feeling my baby squirming all day today!! It's so cool! I felt my son at 15 weeks, and figured I would feel this one earlier! And I have!

Carla -- yeah!!! I am so so so happy for you!!! You have made me cry!! I seriously feel as happy for you as I would for my best friend. You, above everyone else, seems to have gone through so much pain and agony and torture to get to this moment that I just want to jump up and down for joy for you!

I hope it is a wonderful 9 months and that you love every single minute of it. And possibly twins -- oh god - how great!! For some people that might not be happy news but for people like us who have struggled so much to have a baby - the thought of an instant family is just perfect. I too am hoping for twins because I think somewhere in the back of your mind you think "this may be my only shot" so you kind of want to maximize it!

Congrats, hugs, happiness, sticky baby pixie dust...yeah!!! I am just so thrilled for you!!!
