Have never heard if anyone has an opinion on these 2 restuarants. If anyone knows anything, fill me in. My husband has been wanting to try one or both.:)

We ate at Nine Dragons twice on our last trip in July 2002. To be honest, I can't think of one thing I didn't like about this eating experience!
The restaurant was very clean, & had a quite, relaxing atmosphere. All the employees including the hostess, & wait staff were nice as could be. Our waiter was attentive at all times and this made for a pleasurable time. The food is EXCENLLENT! I love the honey seasame chicken.
We went both times during lunch and found the prices to be reasonable. For meals including drinks & tip, it came to about $40. (We didn't order desert.) Entrys during lunch run about $11 to $16. At least from what I remember.

The only downfall we experienced was something I don't blame Nine Dragons for. The second time we ate there during lunch, we ordered the all you can eat sampler. The waiter brought out every dish you could think of and it was all very tasty!
We had a little mishap where my fiance' accidently ate something with shrimp. He is allergic to shrimp, but we didn't think to ask the wait staff if any dishes contained shellfish. Not to worry, the amount he ate didn't send him to the hospital so we were fine!

I just recomend if you have any types of food allergies to talk with your waiter before ordering. This didn't ruin our experience at all and yes, we'll be eating there again!

I give Nine Dragons 5 stars out of 5 stars!!

Hope this review helps!

My family loves Teppanyaki! It is usually the first restraunt they request for every trip. They like watching the food prepared right in front of them. The food is good and it can be fun to be seated with other people. Last trip we shared a table with two couples celebrating their 50th anniversery. They made the day. Try lunch, it is much cheaper.

Another vote for Tapenyaki The kids are very picky and they loved it. It is a great show with the chefs. I was a little concerned that we wouldn't have our own table, but we shared with enjoyable people. We went there as part of the Candlelight processional package.

Teppanaki is quite good--we had an excellent meal there two years ago. However, Nine Dragons generally gets mediocre to bad reviews. Most say that the food is "standard" food that one might find in any local Chinese restaurant and that the prices are outrageous (in fact, Diznee25 is the first person I've heard praise this restaurant). That having been said, your experience may well be positive, too. The Japanese restaurants are certainly all good.

I loved Teppanyaki - a friend took me there for lunch for the first time in December and I can't wait to go back - it's such an entertaining meal as well and the food was lovely although I don't think I would pay more money for the dinner unless it was part of the Candlelight Procession Package.

We're trying Nine Dragons for lunch in May on the recommendation of one of my friends - the all you can eat sampler sounds great. I've never been to a Chinese restaurant in the UK that didn't serve their meal family style like this, so I also want to peek at others who order just entrees.

We've eaten at Teppanyaki our last two trips and have enjoyed both very much. It helps if you are seated with friendly people. Our first try we were with our two kids, two women on vacation, and a couple from Florida. It was fun talking with them and we learned a lot from our dining companions.. Our second try we were with another family of four. It was good because the kids could talk with each other. The kids also like watching their food being cooked. We hope to get there again next trip!~

We didn't care for Nine Dragons. That was a few years ago but we found it to be very "Americanized". We love Chinese Dim Sum and we just found egg rolls and sweet and sour wasn't what we went there for.

What I love about the world showcase is getting some authentic tastes of other countries and I don't think this one measures up to some of the others - like Japan!

OK, here I go with my favourite place to bag on - Nine Dragons!

RUN! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! Do not pass Go, Do not collect $200! This is where you get mediocre Chinese Food for HUGELY inflated prices. It is where cold, greasy noodles go to die.

Teppanyaki is fine if you are into the Benihana sort of thing. I personally am a sushi purist (no "white people sushi" for me). You know what I mean, California Roll and the like. Give me Ama-ebi with the fried heads and I'm a happy girl!

We have been to both and enjoyed each.

We went to Teppanyaki (DH, myself, DS then 4yo, DD then 2yo) and enjoyed it. The food was tasty, the children enjoyed watching the chef cook everything, and although the people we sat with were not overly-outgoing, it was an enjoyable evening. Nothing overly exotic, but tasty.

We also went to Nine Dragons with DH's entire family (a total of about 20 of us). His family is Filipino and ordered many items that are not standard things that I would have chosen. Everyone seemed quite pleased with their meals. The wait staff was particularly attentive (especially to the children who ranged from 1yo to 7 yo). I can't comment on the price because one of DH's aunts paid for the entire meal, but everyone left quite pleased.

Enjoy your trip!

We dined at Nine Dragons a few years ago, and what I remember best is the atmosphere. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The food was good, but as I remember, about the same as your local Chinese take out place. We did like it , though!

We had dinner at Nine Dragons in November and loved it. Just last week our 16 year old DS went there with 10 of his friends-they were in WDW for Magic Music Days. All of the kids loved it and they all said that they were full when they left. Not an easy task with teenagers!
