Hi im going on the 4th dec for 2 weeks, just wondering if anyone who has been around this time of the year before has any tips,advice,etc..?

Thanks

We went a little later in December last year. Crowd wise it's a great time to go - up until about the 23rd crowds are very low.

One tip is to pack for all weathers LOL It can be quite chilly first thing in the morning and in the evenings. Take layers that can be added and removed easily.

We are flying out on the 2nd! It's a great time of year to visit! Pack for all types of weather and MVMCP is a must! :thumbsup2

Try to visit the resorts to look at the decorations too! They also do sleigh rides at WL it's approx $35 for 30 mins! :teeth:

We're (me and two boys) flying out on December 11th for 10 days. Can't wait to see Snow on Main Street and the Osborne lights at the studios. First time we will be visiting at this time of year.

I fly on the 2nd of December too :cool1:

I have been a few times in December and like someone said earlier .. layers are what you need... as it is nippy in the morning (especially crossing over to MK on the ferry Brrrrrrrrrr) but warms up during the day then as soon as the sun sets it gets chilly again...

It can rain, and I have had several days of drizzle (similar to our rain :() but this was only on one occasion and the locals said it was very un Florida like ...

I can't wait to go as I haven't been at this time for a couple of years .. the parks at Christmas are just wonderful :)

We fly out on the 14th December for 3 weeks, can't wait.

Just thinking about how many layers I will need!

We are going 2nd-11th December. I can't wait, have never been this close to Christmas before

We fly out on the 14th until the 2nd Jan. Have been to disney for the last 9 years but never at christmas time as work would never allow time off over the festive period. As we have been so many times we are not really expecting to get a great deal done but just to take in the atmosphere. Can't wait, only 75 days to go.

We're flying from Gatwick by Virgin on 14 December and cannot wait. These boards have made me even more excited than usual.

I love the way in December you can be walking in shorts one day and then coats the next!

hey there we are flying out 16th dec - 1st jan its our first time at xmas and my first time to wdw.

You must be soooo excited. You're going to love it as Christmas is just magical at Disney. I remember the excitement on my first trip, I couldn't wait to get to the Magic Kingdom to see the castle as I had seen it so many times on the TV. I was not disappointed by anything and I;m sure that you won't be.

We went around this time last year and it's such a great time of year we are going back this Decemeber! And we even convinced DH's parents to come back with us (even though they JUST went in March!) :rotfl:
We had all kinds of weather, but like everyone else said just make sure you pack a coat in case it gets cold. Other than that I wore skirts and flip flops the entire time, sometimes I wore my pullover and sometimes I wore my pea coat. This year I may bring some tights and close-toe flats to wear with my skirts/dresses - I don't wear pants - , just in case. <-- You'd have to know me to understand...LMAO!
Just bring one heavy coat, a couple of cardigans, maybe one sweatshirt pullover and a scarf along with your normal clothes and you should be fine.
Also it rained a bit while we were there, like all day mists! That kind of sucked and we used an umbrella. There weren't enough people in the parks to make this a problem.
The weekends were busier of course, but not unbearable. And for some reason Soarin was impossible to get onto, didn't understand that one.
Oh yes and do go to Mickey's Christmas Party because that WAS a lot of fun! You might want to go to one during the week so there's not as many people. The hot chocolate is SO good on a chilly night!
Other than that I can't really think of anything else. I hope you have fun, I know I will! Look for me, I'll be the one in the skirt! haha!!!

We fly Dec 1st for weeks. Can't wait! :cool1: Last time we went was November 19th 2004 and the Christmas dec were up then. Can't wait to see the lights etc again this year. We have also booked Mickeys Christmas Party for Dec 7th, I think.

:thumbsup2

Dec 19th-28th and cant wait first time for us at christmas. we have booked MVMCP on Dec 22nd
