If so, how's it gone?

We've booked an August trip w/o DDP but with a BCV and DDE card. We're taking it on as a challenge to see how we do w/barbelling CS/Beaches & Cream dinners w/Jiko, FF and CG and bringing our lunches to the park.

We've done 3 trips in a row w/DDP and we're going w/o it this time. Anyone else trying to do this?

Have not travelled yet, but have a plan for July 2008 that has been all planned out with some on site and some off site dining. I plan on breakfast in the villa, lunch at whatever park we are at or back in the villa if we are planning on taking a break--this will be different since on DDP we just ate in the park and then shopped a bit before heading out of the park--now I can skip lunch and shopping and head right out of the park!
Some nights I have dinners planned for onsite some for off. I'm glad to be able to take a break from on site eating and I think I may throw in a few days at other than Disney venues. I did the math for us and I think we will be in better shape not using the DDP as the food included isn't really what we eat--dessert for all, etc.

We're doing our trip in March, so I can't help with the particulars right now.

We too are doing breakfast in the villa. CS lunch in the park, or back to the villa for sandwiches. Dinners will be at Artist's Point, DTD (WPE) or in a Park at a TS restaurant.

We leave this Saturday. We have used the DDP 10 times now (over the past 2 years) and loved it. However, with the changes we have decided to skip it. We are also DDE card holders, so we plan to keep track of how much we spend compared to what we would order if we were using the DDP. It will be interesting to see how the figures come out. There are some days were we use to get alot of value from the DDP, but then there are other days where we would rather just do CS all day, but HAD to use that precious TS credit. We actually were doing more and more signature locations near the end of the DDP2007 plan.
