Any of you had a fish pedicure?

No, not at all. The fish have no teeth and they just gently remove the dead skin.

Here in Manchester they are offering 15 minute and 30 minute sessions and I usually got for 30 minutes. 15 minutes just does not seem long enough.

Thanks :goodvibes I suspected that the basic session may be more intended as a 'tester' or a touch up type session.

My friend has this done and she was fine, said it took her a couple of minutes to get used too, but after that she was fine - and no reported problems afterwards.

Personally, I'm another who couldn't bear the thought of it. Not because of the actual fish, as I don't mind fishes, but I just can't cope with things touching my feet  I just hate it

I would love to have one of these pedicures but I'm waiting for a very stubborn verucca to go. I visit a chirpodist every 6 weeks anyway who takes care of my toenail, corns, hard skin and all that yukky stuff and I blessed with a DH who is happy to massage my feet every night before I go to sleep (sometimes I'm not sure if he does both feet as I usually fall asleep during foot 1!)

Lots of people I work with have had one and I haven't heard anything bad some people have described a feeling of walking on cotton wool afterwards. After 2 years my last verucca is just about gone so I'll hopefully get one done before my holiday.

Let us know how you get on if you take the plunge (get it :rotfl2:)

OMG...lol im sorry but yUK YUK YUK...LOL:rotfl::rotfl:
Cannot even look at those fishy tanks so putting my feet in one doesnt bear thinking about, but then im wierd lol...i hate hairdressers playing with my hair too....personal space issues me thinks.

did i mention yuk! xxxx:rotfl:

I have had one i really dont like having my feet touched but i really enjoyed it! I have very hard skin on my feet i walk a lot and i am hairdresser so on my feet a lot so I still had a lot of dry skin!

Just to creep you all out even further, there's one in Southend that's got a full body tank.

i was looking after my grandaughter today & we went into town, when we were walking past the salon, she said she would love to have it done,so in we go & she had 15mins for £10,well she absolutely loved it! squealed a little bit, when she first put her feet in,but she is only 10:) it really grossed me out though,it wouldn't be for me!
they do a full body one for £40 & she was like "nana that would be sooooooo cool" er i think not! one man,was having a hand one, that really would, freak me out,but he said it was really relaxing,so each to their own i suppose.
hope you enjoy it:)

Hmmm :scratchin I may need to draw the line at that. First thing that came to mind was that I sincerely hope that some form of clothing/swimwear is required. You may wish to refrain from further comment on that

I'll stick with the feet :thumbsup2

Some of the ladies at my work all went together and they said it was a fun experience/a bit of a novelty but they didn't think the results were that great or better than a normal pedicure. They all did 15 minutes and reckon half an hour would be better.

I've been 3 times and absolutely love it. Even managed to get Hubby hooked on it too. I find it very relaxing. I was not sure the first time I went as I have very ticklish feet, but it did not tickle at all. My feet have never felt smoother.

It is worth getting reviews on the place you go to though, as some places don't maintain the tanks properly.

The place I go to in Dundee is planning on opening another branch in Glasgow which will have a full body tank.
