Grumpiest Cast Member

More than grumpy, the most nasty person I ever came across was a woman doing crowd control outside of Olga's 2 years ago, never had someone break through the screen like that before at WDW. I think I told her, "You know if you don't like people this probably isn't the best job for you & BTW this doesn't NEED to be your job, you can probably do something else anywhere else." What a wackadoodle.

As far as I know, no more free ice cream. And honestly, I am always just so happy when I am there, I have never encountered one!

Im a really social person and can strike up a conversation with a rock!!! Lol
No free ice cream for your time? That’s a Maleficent sort of action…

Earlier this year we went to Story Book Dining at Artist Point in WL. After Snow White came out these two really odd dudes came out; one of them was kind of dopey and the other one was definitely grumpy...

Mmm I would say the waitress when we went to Carthay Circle to pick up the limited edition Snow White Poison Apple Scary Tree.

Throughout our conversations with her as our server, she told us how she cant wait for them to sell out, that she hates when they sell these every year and she is not a fan of Disney and does not understand why people like it so much 🤣🤣

Another one was a waitress at Storytellers Cafe who did not want to bring out more food that you could order off menu because she said that we hadn't finished what was on our plates yet and kept pointing out that leaving food was wasteful when it was a buffett...

I will add myself on there when Disneyland had the bright idea of painting one attraction vehicle at various rides golden during the 50th anniversary and the drama that would ensue when every single person with a child would run to that golden vehicle and be upset at us when their child couldn't get it and the drama/fights that would ensue over it 🤣🤣

Not grumpy but . . . at a pool party at a Deluxe resort, a CM conducting it who just couldn't be unhappier to be there. I remember for the bingo contest, she mumbled the names of the characters, sorted through the cards to pick out which ones she wanted to call, uh, mumble. Every other time I've seen bingo, the CM will interject something about each character. Not this CM. She just couldn't have cared less about it being a "party" and not a funeral.

We were at 50’s PT last summer. We had been there before, so we knew what to expect. Our waiter was going with the “whatever, I’m over it” act, or so it seemed. Anywhere else, it would not have went over, but this is the 50’s PT. As the meal went on, it was obvious that his fellow cast members were agitated with him. At one point, he dropped and broke a glass. Another waiter said something to him about not following protocol, and he said something snarky.

It started to get awkward towards the end, but my kids never really caught on, so it was all good.

Probably the manager that was working at night at Old key West last year or the year before when we had extraordinary problems with the villa. Everything from the dryer needed to be replaced and they did to something died under the jacuzzi. I reported all of it here and I had spoken to housekeeping and management multiple days as the problems just compounded on themselves. He was absolutely miserable.

Most CMs are fantastic. Every now and again they are not. I have to remember they have bad days, too. They get griped at by guests with unrealistic expectations and great entitlement mentality. They deal with some insane stuff. There are a handful of CMs, usually boys 18 - young 20s, who act like they own the place and they all seem to have that same snooty attitude, but those encounters are few and far between.

Only really negative experience I had was with "Peter Pan". He was completely out of control. I was wearing a shirt that said "stinkerbell" and he berated me, saying how dare I attack his best friend and he should have me removed from the line. I wish I could say he was being playful, but he was not. Even his fellow CM apologized and told him to simmer down. I did not go to GR, but I had to bite my tongue.

Oh, I had one in May 2025 at the International Gateway entrance at Epcot! He was apparently the head security guy but I didn't know him from any of the other security people. One security guy pointed me to this line but the 'head guy' told me to go to another one because I was in the wrong place. I tried to explain I was only doing what I was told and he very hatefully told me HE was the boss. Very unnecessary way to handle people.

Well I have a new one and that is the housekeeping manager at Kidani who literally screamed at us and was so furious when we were walking down the hallway of Zazu trying to get a peek at the refurbished kidani rooms. There were no signs or anything so we thought it was fine. Never been screamed at by a Disney cm before, so thats a first. We didnt even attempt to go in the room, just walking down the hall.

The grumpiest was a bus driver. Leaving epcot and got to the bus awaiting its schedule time to leave. Informed the bus driver that my wife was in a scooter. His response was, I am just leaving and I already have a scooter. I could see that no one was in the fold up seats for the 2nd scooter, so I pushed back. He started to defend his position. It wasn't until said "don't put yourself out, I'll just send out a complaint to guest services". I took his name and bus number. This is when he finally got his *** out of the seat to let my wife on.

I never could find where I could make a complaint. The app only has a place to to praise cast members.

This was OCT-25
Laughing because if this was MK late Oct 25 we might have encountered the same guy. I got on, no seats so went to get off. I get dizzy and can't stand and hold on. I don't ask for help - I can sit or lean somewhere and wait for a bus with a seat. I did have the temerity to ask him if he knew how long for the next bus. That's when he got a bit rude. Not enough to complain about for me. I then got on another bus in minutes and had a nice smooth ride back to my resort. Got the next driver's info and left a cast compliment. First guy said he was running behind and I guess I made it worse by stepping off.

If she’s not a fan of Disney she could have worked for UNIVERSAL 😝
