Any OCTOBER guests received FP+ testing invite?

Thanks to all of you wonderful folks on this thread, I knew to go check MDE for our 10/31 check-in at CSR. We're customized and FP+ scheduled.

SUPER excited to have FP+ scheduled for our day (late arrival) at Epcot. To KNOW we have spots on TT and Soarin' is a huge relief.

Incredibly appreciative of the info everyone shares on here to help out first-timers like us.

So, haven't been on this board in a couple of days, and now I see new resorts have been added for the MB testing! What is the list of all resorts testing and dates

What a situation... we have two linked stays at BLT made with 2 member numbers:

9/26-10/5
10/5-10/8

So the testing window for BLT is from 9/30 onward. So part of our 1st reservation and all of our second fall into the window.

CM's cannot tell me what that means for me.

1) Can I only have MB for 10-5/10/8 because only this res falls entirely in the window?

2) Will they let me have MB for 9/30-10/8?

3) Or will they magically give it to us for the while shebang?


They're "not sure", but wouldn't guarantee anything other than MB for 10/5-10/8.

So I think we'll pass, thanks!!

FOLLOWING UP ON THIS...

Well, FWIW, I spoke with a very helpful person in tech support who relayed the following:

1) We can ONLY get MB for the reservation that falls COMPLETELY within the testing window at BLT (for us that's 10/5-10/8)

2) The "higher-ups" essentially would need to "turn on" access to MB for BLT prior to 9/26 in order for us to use MB for the first reservation -- which they could do at any time -- "keep checking".

3) Linking the DVC AP exchange vouchers to our profiles will not affect our ability to use the physical exchange vouchers we have to redeem for APs on 9/26. We should see the front desk on 10/5 to ensure that the MBs are set up to access the AP from that point forward.


Given all of this, we are going to go ahead and try it for a few days.

The CM I spoke with was fantastic. She set up my first AP voucher for me, and walked me through how to set up our other three. She then fixed a setting on DH's account that was preventing me from seeing his MB in my list of linked tickets. She then walked me through setting up some FP+ selections - piece of cake.

I just wish we had it for the whole trip.

Woke up yesterday to an email from disney stating we can have the magicbands for our trip.

We are arriving on oct 3-14, at bay lake tower, we are dvc members. we have dvc annual pass exchange cards listed on my disney exp, so we need to trade those in and activate. I picked out our colors and fp+ right after getting the email and looks like we are all set. glad to be able to try them out!

I have will call tix. I have tried every possible number I see, but they won't link....have also tried calling tech support and tix services...no luck.

I was able to get one of my tickets to link by scanning the bar code using the My Disney Experience mobile app.

Is anyone doing a split stay between a wdw resort with fp+/magic bands and then staying at swan/dolphin for the 2nd part of their trip??? If so, can you use FP+/magic bands on the swan/dolphin part of the vacation?

We are going 10/1-10/10 and staying at POFQ and I received the email yesterday and customized my bands today. Still have to pick our FP times.

I don't know about FP+ but I doubt you'd be able to use as room key and I'm certain you couldn't do room charging.

As long as you have a ticket to cover all your days you should. We have APs and are splitting our stay between AoA, BLT, and the dolphin. We can make FP+ ressies starting out first day at AoA ad can make them for our entire stay, including during our stay at the Dolphin. Unless those resorts have the door technology, you cant use them as room keys.

If you are using a different type of ticket media for your days at S/D, you definitely won't be able to do FP+ there.

We are staying at Pop Century 11-15 and have already received our customized Magic Bands in the mail. When I called to book the trip a couple of weeks ago the cast member I spoke wih told us that we would be part of the Magic Band test. My daughter and I were doing a wild happy dance when he told us. We were able to log into mydisneyexperience.com the next day and customize our Magic Bands and choose our Fast Passes. We were beyond excited when we received our Magic Bands in the mail 2 days ago. Our Mickey Mail with all of our vouchers and package information arrived the same day. Yesterday I received and email and a UPS delivered letter also stating that we were part of the Magic Band trial. We can't wai to get there to try it out!

I would think it would depend on how many days you have tickets for. If you have 8 days worth of tickets linked to your reservation, I would think you would be able to make 8 days worth of FP+.

So I played around on FastPass+ reservations. I have an AP currently linked (the other one still won't link).

I am able to make FP+ reservations for up to November 13. I don't know the significance of November 13... maybe because it's two months away? Or maybe because that's a month after my resort stay (Oct. 12-15)?

When I make Nov. 13th reservations, there aren't as many attractions/entertainment options. I think this might be because they haven't been added for testing that far out yet. For example, in October, I can make a reservation for Beauty on the Beast or The Little Mermaid at DHS, but in November, I was only given the options of ToT, RnRC, TSM, or Star Tours.

November 13th is 60 days from today.

More selections will be added after they are done loading October. The same thing happened to October after they finished loading September.

She might have to go to her online check in and modify, and save it. Some ppl have found success with that. No one know why some have do it, and not others. try it!
