Any OCTOBER guests received FP+ testing invite?

I just wanted to let everyone know my experience with FP+. We are staying at BC starting 10/30~11/9 (with FD) which today is 60 day mark so I did online check-in. As soon as I did the online check-in, all the fastpass + was available.

We are party of 5, however I'm taking nieces for a few days in the beginning while DH is on his business trip and he will join us later. Since my nieces are only staying first 5 days so we only bought 5 day park hopper tickets. We are going to upgrade our tickets to APs once we get to the resort. All the days were available for fast pass + for us and number of days on your ticket doesn't seem to retrain us. (which is a good thing since we are hitting parks almost everyday.) :goodvibes

Has anyone else had trouble linking two reservations together? Our group of three can't seem to link up with my daughter's group of two,:confused3

Gosh I hate DME, since I've made the reservations in january I haven't been able to see anything to do with our reservation unless I either went through the old site or viewed it through my family. Today our FP became available and I wasn't able to see anything at all (as usual) but my travel partner changed the name on the second account (which 'should' have been me listed but it was her listed twice and Disney was unable to 'fix it' for us months ago) to my name and now suddenly I can see and select FP choices. What's even MORE weirder is if I log into that 'second' account it acts just like MY account does only this allows me to do anything and everything in the account as if the account was MINE even though it has a different email address associated with it and it was not the account I made the reservation with. Seriously Disney? :faint:

On the upside of all this DME crap we were able to make pretty good FP choices :thumbsup2

Hmmmm just tried this (checking in Oct. 30th also) and didn't work for me. ??? Maybe I'm doing it wrong, I think I will give them a call this morning.

I can't wait for the first few MNSSHP to pass; we're going to MNHSSP on October 6 and I have so many MagicBand related questions!

Anyone know the answer to these yet?

1. We have 6 day MYW passes, but an 8 night stay. Two of those are non-park days; one is MNSSHP day and we will not enter any park until MK @ 4PM (if still allowed this year). Will having our MagicBand on us (even if in a backpack) be picked up by the scanner and use up a park entrance?? I do not know how sensitive the readers are.

2. Related to the above, we have an Epcot day where we are doing World Showcase only and not scheduling any FP+. I used those 3 FP+ to schedule rides from 4-7PM on MNSSHP night. Will those FP+ on our MagicBands work since technically we did not have a Park entry... only an early entry with our MNSSHP tickets? Any thoughts? I have a feeling only time will tell on this question...

So this is a plea for those September MNSSHP folks to report back!

If our FP+ will not work without using an actual park entrance, then we can leave our MagicBands at the hotel for MNSSHP night and eliminate concern over question #1. I suppose we can use FP+ for Maelstrom on our World Showcase day. :rotfl:

Would a RO booking at AOA in November qualify for testing?

I booked a RO for one night at Pop in September and qualified for MagicBand and FP+ for the full 9 days (1 at Pop and 9 at POFQ)

How did you do that? Did you just call and say you wanted to add a one day stay to the front of the vacation and then they linked them together for you?

I had already booked my stay at POFQ. I really wanted to try MB and FP+ so when I realized POFQ was not a test resort I booked Pop online. I was immediately granted access to customize MB and make FP+ selections. I was going to stay off site anyway that first night. I got an AP discount and the additional cost (minimal) is well worth it. I made FP+ selections for the full stay and my MB will be here Tuesday. As a side, I received an email today that I had been invited to participate in testing of MB and FP+. A little late on the invite...huh?

I am thinking of doing the same thing, I also really want to try FP+.

I don't have an AP though, I have 10 day tickets that were booked with my Coronado stay. Wonder if that would still work for me.

I haven't been checking this thread very thoroughly lately, but I thought that any FP+ selections you make beyond the test resort stay would disappear at the end of check out day from that resort. You might want to research that a bit just in case. Good luck!

Not sure if that strategy will work for you. I guess you could make the ressie and if it doesn't work you can cancel it??

I did the same thing. We are staying a CBR, so I just booked a room only stay for the night before at Pop and instantly had access to FP+ and MBs. Yay!

I have received conflicting info about this. Wordy case scenario is that I bask in the magic the old fashion way...regular FP. I will still be at WDW so what can go wrong? Still better then being at work.

Amen to that! :rotfl:

It's a great idea and I hope it works out for you!! :)

This seems like a good idea booking one night at pop or AOA to get magic bands, we are staying at Coronado and will be arriving the day before and were going to stay offsite too that night.
