Any OCTOBER guests received FP+ testing invite?

This may be a stupid question, but how did you link your Travelocity reservation?
I went to DW's website and signed in to My Disney Experience (MDE). If you don't have a MDE account, sign up for one.

When on the WDW site, scroll over the MDE link and select "reservations" in the drop down menu...that gives you hotel, ticket, dining res's, and under "disney resort hotel reservations' there's a 'link a resort reservation' option. When I clicked on the 'link a resort' option, I was asked for a confirmation # and my last name. I used the confirmation # travelocity sent me and my last name of course ;). My reservation was linked up right away.

Linking my tickets took a few more 'clicks' in the system. Under MDE "reservations", I clicked on 'link my tickets". That leads you to a page that lists three options for claiming tickets...as I bought mine via travelocity with my hotel, which meant I would be picking up my tickets at the 'will call' desk upon arrival. So I clicked on the 'will call' option after selecting 'link my tickets'. Again,I used the confirmation # from travelocity and the system found my tickets and after a few hours, they were visible when I went to MDE and looked at my reservations.

I linked that up a week or so ago (both hotel and tickets). I waited until this weekend to select fastpass + rides and personalize magic bands (and as I go in early Oct, I'm in a four-day-window to personalize the bands as of tonight). But both the fastpass and band options were available on Disney via MDE after linking my non-Disney reservations...and as someone who works in communications for a fairly large organziation and who works very closely with our Web team, the functionality of Disney's web experience is pretty jdkfa;jk; amazing.

Same here. I was very hesitant to book with Travelocity, but the $2200 savings made my decision easier. So far, I have had all the same benefits I would have had with Disney except for the option of the dining plan, which we weren't booking anyway. We're at YC as well and I can't wait till our Magic Bands ship.
Agree with with! I saved over $700 booking through Travelocity (hotel and tickets), and have found it amazingly easy to link those reservations to MDE.

I didn't want the dining plan, just wanted a hotel/room discount...and got a larger discount via Travelocity for my room at YC than Disney was offering and saved 10% on my park tickets. I thought I'd miss out on a handful of perks that you get get booking directly with Disney (liker personalizing magic bands). I was wrong and have nothing but great things to say about Disney's online reservation/MDE interface.

None of the nighttime shows or parades are showing up in my options. Do they hold off on those until closer to your date (I'm 45 days out) so they'll be more certain of when they are scheduled?

Is it safe to assume that if you can reserve with FP+ and you can pick MB colors, that you will receive the official test invite email? We will be at POP Oct 2-12.

Yep :thumbsup2 Well...you may never get an official invite, but you are definitely included.

I don't mind having or not having the Bands, but there are opportunities with the bands ( Wishes, rides, etc) that regular Fastpass users are not privy to, right? That doesn't feel "magical". ;)

The only thing we can book is Illuminations...still no parades or Wishes.

And remember, this is still the "testing phase". Some resort guests can't even get FP+ or MagicBands yet...

Can you make fp+ selections before your trip is paid in full?

We are going in October, staying at AOA. My paid in full date is next week. I was able to make fp+ selections yesterday.

I still can't get my tickets to link. I've tried all the numbers I can find through travelocity. What number did you use?....the one under the bar code on the will call ticket (TR....), the room confirmation number, or the travelocity trip ID #? (none of those would work for me).... or another number? When do you check in? I was told the tix don't get "exchanged" until about 3 days before check in???? I check in Oct. 5th.

So what happens to those of us staying in a Disney resort that isn't part of the testing? Will there be fast passes? I'm trying not to be bitter, but it kind of stinks for those of us that don't have a shot. I can hear my husband and kids asking why we don't have those bands. Lol. I know. I know. Life isn't fair, etc... But we are spending a ton on this vacation, yet feel like I'm missing out.

If it makes you feel any better at all... I would trade FP+ and Magic Bands to have ONE opportunity to stay the Beach Club... just sayin'. :)

My DD came home from her friends house the other day and asked me what color her Magic Band was going to be. The friends family is going in October and was able to pick MB and the kids were talking about the colors. Had to tell DD that we probably won't be getting Magic Bands. I guess there is some hope that more resorts might be added for October but better to tell the kids no.

Anyone staying old Key West and received testing yet. Our friends that are going with us for the week are staying at old Key West they said nothing yet I feel bad because we wanted to make some fast pass selections and they can't so we don't want to book anything if they aren't going to be included.

I used the confirmation number that came in the email when I booked the room and tickets. The room had a 11 digit number and the tickets had a separate 10 digit confirmation number. We check in October 1.

"IT" actually stands for Information Technology. (Although you're right - in most cases here it would refer to support for anything computer/website/technical related.)

Should have known that! In french, it's actually TI!

We are 60 days out today and I just logged into MDE.... I was able to make FP+ selections and customize Magic Bands! We are at Pop, arriving on Oct. 24! :woohoo: Now to decide what FP+ to make :confused3

It looks like I also get to customize a band for my daughter, who will be 2 at the time of arrival. I wasn't sure she'd get one because she's doesn't have a park ticket or meal plan, but I am excited she'll have this memento of the trip!

I have personalized my MBs and set up our FP+s. Do I just have to wait until my "Days left to personalize" ticker hits 0 and then they will automatically mail? We're ready to get them!

HELP!

Staying POY 10/26-11/2. 62 days out. I can customize BANDS but no FP+ on website it shows me dates for this week and week beginning 11/2...

We couldn't choose FP+ till 60 days out and after we had done online check in for both our resorts, maybe that's the issue? Don't be afraid to call tech support, we did, had an issue with our profiles on MDE being mixed up. They handled it perfectly!
