Any Luck Upgrading Hopper Ticket To New Sorcerer's Pass

which number did you call to begin with?

I didn't call DVC Member Services because I had read on here that they couldn't handle an upgrade from an existing multi-day ticket.
 
Just coming back for my update. Checked with Guest Relations when we arrived Saturday, and tickets from resellers will not be bridged. You will only receive what Disney paid the reseller. Passes became effective with the first day we entered the park, not when we purchased. Parks much busier than I expected. Food prices - wowsa they are higher than last time we came. Weather hot, typical afternoon rain. I have kept my record😂 we have been to Disney 25 times and I did not get my room request for the 25th time. Can't beat the location at the BWV. The rooms are looking very dated, but still good to be home!

That is not right - tickets from authorized resellers should be worth what the online Disney price was when the ticket was “minted,” per the Ticket sticky https://www.disboards.com/threads/tickets-how-to-upgrade.3570721/. Call Ticketing - but don’t call it bridging because that’s not Disney’s terminology. Your tickets shouldn’t be valued at less than you paid for them. Please post your experience on the Ticket sticky, because if that’s true then Disney is doing wrong by those authorized resellers as well as by you.

Yes, and I wonder what this news will do to authorized resellers’ business when word gets around that if you need to upgrade for whatever reason, your tickets will be worth even less than you paid. I guess Disney is trying to kill those businesses too.

It certainly will change things for many people if they are not even given the price paid.
 
I wonder what happens if you update them to park hopper or add a day on through MDE? Then they sort of become Disney retail tickets.
 
I was able to upgrade yesterday. I had called last week they said someone would call me back a week before my arrival date which is the 1st. Was done in about 20 mins.

I posted in another thread but I have never been able to use MDE. I had to call and they gave me the credit I paid but I had to pay the difference to Disney price. It then became a Disney ticket because I made up the difference.

I added on park hopper and another day to a few 6-day resale tickets a few months ago through MDE. No problem. I just tried to add another day to them and it offered me 8 days for two 7-day hoppers for an extra $56.

I may call and see what they offer me for an IncrediPass just for kicks.

Wow. That doesn’t make sense. If correct, it is a huge blow to the authorized resellers.

I was confirmed this with Disney ticketing over the phone and in person at the park. I then asked for a Supervisor who came out and told me the same thing.

Yikes. That is unsettling. Do you happen to know the direct telephone number for Disney ticketing?

I still have some older tickets. Guess I will be saving them to use on my kids or years when we may only go once. Have been using APs for many years now and either have renewed or upgraded some of the old tickets to APs.

The charge for adding one day to my ticket was the exact difference between what Disney charges for a 3 day park hopper pass and a 4 day park hopper pass for my dates. So, if I really wanted to change, it does appear I would be getting the Disney price.

I do not see that as an option via MDE. I do want to try adding hoppers to my daughters ticket when she goes with us but will probably just wait and do it in person.
