Hi!

We are travelling to WDW in this July. I know that last year, the AP lounges were open in the parks, and also there was AP viewing for Illuminations and certain parades (maybe).

Can anyone tell me of their experiences in the AP lounges, where they are at each park, what they have to offer, and if you think they might reopen this summer.

Thanks! Trust me, I really appreciate your time in responding to this post.

They had one in AK in the back of one of the restaurants (sorry, but I cannot remember which) they had water when I was there and games for the children, they also assigned priority seating for the Festival of the Lion King Show and gave special seating slips for watching the parade.

The other one was in Epcot in a really nice lounge over the Land.
They had Coke and other soda, coffee and I think tea. They had a TV and games for the kids, it was airconditioned and very nice.
For awhile they were giving slips for special viewing of Illuminations, but, they stopped that mid summer.

I have no idea if they will open them again this year, keep watching the Monitor.

the ap lounge at ak was in the back of pizzasafari...not at all easy to find...we had to have a cm show us the way....
the ap lounges are worth a visit and are a nice way to get away from the crowds...just beware that the ap lounge at ak is not air conditioned and the elevator the ap lounge at epcot is the slowest thing i have ever seen (don't know if they let you take the stairs)...
have fun!!!!

Thanks! for the quick answers!

I hope they open them again for the summer. They sound like a nice break.

open to us. Hope as the hot weather returns so do the lounges.

For a while there was also an AP lounge behind the flaming tree BBQ restaurant after the Pizzasafari one closed

Now that AT&T has dropped their sponsorship of Spaceship Earth, just maybe the old AT&T lounge will be reservered for AP holders...until Micro$oft takes it over.

Are the AP lounges open all year and can you get in if you have a seasonal AP?
Thanks for your attention

icy-dog: there currently are NO AP lounges as both closed at the end of the summer. We also are hoping new ones are opened. Another perk not yet mentioned was special viewing for Shockwave in Epcot. Also, characters visited the one in Epcot and the interaction was wonderful.
