Howdy Everyone,

I was wondering if there are any hotels in II that are close to Disneyland. I know the 4 seasons in about 1 1/2 hours away but are there any onthers and are they worth staying at?

Thanks,
Frank :wizard:

Im not sure what you mean by (II)? We always stay at the Marriott Residence Inn near Disneyland since they have the 2-bedroom suites and it's only 200 yards from the main entrance.

I just figured out what you mean by II. Sorry, duh. We've never used DVC points anywhere but WDW so I can't help. Sorry .

Marriott's Newport Coast Villas Resort, located between Newport Beach and Laguna Beach, is about a half hour away from Disneyland. The resort is affiliated with II and it's on DVC's World Passport Collection list.

MVCI's Newport Coast is also the site of a previously planned DVC resort. I believe Marriott built pretty much what DVC had planned. So you might say you are staying at a distant cousin of DVC :)

There are "quality", "affordable", hotel/motels to stay @ which are very close and walking distance to DL.

Try searching on Aneheim or Garden Grove, Ca. Look for the Yahoo map which will give details of hotels/motels.

Most all places have a jitney bus (some free) to the DL gate.

Have a great time!! :sunny:

We're going to be there in November. I'll report back when we return...not sure if it helps you since it won't be for a while. I've heard this resort is beautiful. Sure hope so :).

Also.....there are some great options of hotels near DL that are reasonably priced and well reviewed. The Candy Cane Inn and The Carousel both come to mind. We are actually staying at the CCI for two days before we check into the Marriott in Newport Beach. The Candy Cane is apparently a short walk to the entrance to DL and CA. Prices are around $100/night. Good reviews on Trip Advisor and here on the DL forum.

Have fun planning!! :sunny:

Thanks for all the help. We are going to try for the 4 Seasons in San Diego and take 1 or 2 day trips to DL.

I hope we are able to get a trade for November 2006.

Thanks again,

We are staying at the Newport Coast Villas in Sept and are very excited about it.

You might want to reconsider day trips to DL from San Diego. It looks like a short distance (and it is, relatively), but traffic will take you forever to get there. You probably don't want to lose a couple hours of DL time each way.
