Any guests arriving November 1 to 30 receive FP+ testing invites?

We are checking in 11/1 :woohoo: Can't wait! We are about to buy our tickets and always use Undercover Tourist, but after reading through this thread I am wondering if I should just suck it up and pay a little extra to buy them through Disney to be sure there are no glitches with linking them. We really want to use the Magic Bands and Fast Pass + if it's available for our dates. What do you guys think???

Thanks! ;)

That is what we are doing. I am a loyal UCT ticket purchaser and I am sad that I won't be giving them my business this time, but I'm buying through Disney for our upcoming trip. We only need one pass for my mother (the rest of us have APs) so it won't be a big cost difference for me this time.

(Incidentally... it's a little strange to me that linked tickets are required since the tickets aren't park-day-specific. Shouldn't 9 nights at an on-property resort suggest that we'll be visiting the parks?? I think if you can make in-park ADRs without linked tickets that you should also be able to make in-park FP+ reservations. But that's just me.)

I understand your frustration but even traditional fastpass was connected to park tickets.

I think we'll get physical ticket cards day-of... per my friend the cast member passes work the same as a regular park-hopper admission ticket (and we'll get the same thing if he checks us in at Epcot)... we just won't have them in advance. Once we get closer and (hopefully!!!) get a Magic Band invitation, I might call Disney to see if there's a workaround for this. You never know!

Incidentally, I do have physical tickets for MNSSHP and MVMCP, and have linked them both to MDE. I wonder if those will let us choose FP+ selections for MK on those days? We'll see...

Edited to add: That's a good point about some vacationers just visiting the resorts and not hitting the parks, but I feel like using MDE and indicating a whole schedule of park days & shows should be enough. Hmph, now I'm just being petty. I know I should count my free-admission blessings. :)

No, you won't be able to get FP+s those days because FPs aren't issued during the parties. Sorry. :flower3:

BTW, they won't remove the FP machines in the parks until the program is fully rolled out so you will still be able to use those.

Thanks. It's probably irrelevant for the parties since the MK lines will be so short then anyway. :) Honestly, we're going at a quiet-ish time of year and won't have any trouble getting everything in - the old Fastpass system will be just fine - it's just the early-adopter tech nerd in me who is annoyed that I won't get to play with the new toy. (Yes, I got the new iPhone when it came out on Friday, haha.)

But...but...taking your DIS name and making lemonade out lemons...this gives you reason to plan another trip! :)

My group is coming in on the 3rd of November with CM tickets. If your friend is signing you in you get rfid guest passes - which you return to your friend at the end of the day. If you go in with a comp pass you have to exchange the paper ticket for a rfid pass. Either way it's a free park hopper, which is a pretty good enough perk. From my understanding most communications with cast has been that they'll be able to link CM passes to the MDE and partake in FP+ sometime in the beginning of 2014. So legacy FP should be around for this holiday season at least.

We will be there Nov 6-12th... Tried the BOG fp for lunch and it won't let me through when I put in my reservation ID- it is correctly typed, a message comes up.. "this user is already registered" NO I AM NOT!!!!!!! LOL

My Mom and Step-dad are going Nov 18-22 so I tried for them and it WORKED FINE!!!!! Got them a BOG Lunch for 11/20 between 12:55-1:10pm. I am happy it worked for them since they are doing the QS Dining Plan this time and they really wanted to try BOG without having to get in line at 10am.

Anyone know what the two options "Direct Table" and "Expedited Arrival" meant?? Could not figure that out.

I read somewhere that with Direct to table you pick out your food ahead of time. Expedited Arrival is you get to bypass the line and head in once you get there.

So this afternoon the FP+ system was showing the same limited options (basically the E Ticket rides in each park) for November dates that it has been for weeks. Tonight, however, everything else has been added. All of the other attractions are there, as are meet & greets. Illuminations and Fantasmic! are there as well.

I think this bodes well for MM+ to be available for November check ins. Hopefully we will hear in the next day or two!

Yup! We check into Pop Century on 10/31 and then into Saratoga Springs on 11/4.

This must mean nov openings are close. I'm watching carefully with my nov 8 check in

Thanks to this thread I was able to snag a FP+ for Fantasmic on November 12th, Illuminations is only on the weekend (we're doing Epcot on a Thursday). No Wishes or Parades available from what I can tell.

Although I did not receive an e-mail or UPS letter, I found magic bands ready to customize on my reservation in My Disney Experience. Don't forget to periodically check there!!! They gave me until 9/29 to customize before they will send them out to us.
Our trip is 10/29 - 11/3 at the Wilderness Lodge.

Thanks for the update! I'm thinking you're right. :)
