I think I'd like to buy the vsmile learning system for my daughter for her birthday. Where can I find the best price on it?

Hi,

We just bought DS the VSmile for Christmas. He loves it!!! The best price I have found was at our local Wal-Mart the system was $49.87 and the games run about $19.99. I would suggest looking on e-bay as you might run across an awesome deal there as well. We have been well pleased. The control is fairly simple but does take a little coordination. DS is 5 and has been able to master it quite well. Hope that helps. Also the system only comes with one controller so if you have more than one child you might want to pick up an additional one. I found one at K-Mart for $15.00. The system also runs on batteries or you can purchas the AC?DC pack at an additional cost.

Best of luck,
Melly:)

Also found the best deal at Wal-Mart, slightly less than at Target. It will run on batteries but they don't last long. Pick up the connector...about $10 more.

Target had games on sale a couple of weeks ago about $16.50...otherwise, they run about $20.

DS (6) would play his 24/7 if I let him. I am sure your child will love it too. Have fun!

I would be willing to sell to you if you are interested. It is still in its original box and has been used 3 times. We have one game for it. My boys are still too young for it. Let me know.

if you do buy, make sure to join the on-line club vsmile. They do "free" giveaways every so often. I got a game cartridge for $6.99 s&h before Christmas and just the other day I got the car adaptor for $2.99 s&h. They'll send email with the offer of a chance to win the free item, usually in the newletter.

Never heard of it before. Thanks for letting me know!

My kids got the vsmile art studio for Christmas, and they really love it! It's not advertised alot, at least not here, and I came across it by chance. It's really neat, and keeps them busy for quite awhile. It's an accessory for the vsmile. It really works well, too, although the reviews on Toysrus seem to suggest differently. Maybe they fixed the kinks, because it does everything just like it should. I recommend this! ::yes::

Decided to get v-smile for son for his birthday Feb. 1st. Went to Wal-mart the week before Christmas because I figured the price wouldn't get any better. Got it for $49. Then later on in the week, husband goes to different Wal-mart and gets it for $30. Needless to say I returned the first one. Did get the adaptor. Anyone know the link for the club?

Best deal by far at Christmas was the bundle package at Sam's. It was the v-smile system, 2 joysticks(regulare system comes with 1), 2 games (reg system comes with 1) and the adaptor for $69.88. Each of the extras normally runs 14.99-19.99 so the bundle was definitely a great deal. Sorry but I am not sure if they still have them or only had them for the holiday, you could check their website.
Hope this helps! :teeth:

Just a heads up... three girls I work with bought these for their daughters/sons for Christmas. Those same three have reported that they already don't work.

I'd definitely say a case of buyer beware.

My nephew (3) got this for christmas and he is a little on the wild side. I witnessed him pulling the plugs but the cords, ripping the joysticks out of the machine (by the cords) or other kids hands. Also just pulling out the cartridges in the middle of a game and his is still working perfectly!!!!!
The one I got for my DD(3) is perfect too but that is because she doesn't really have a big interest in it (silly me(Mom) thought she might actually become interested in letters and numbers overnight!) but my DD(6) plays it every other day. We are definitely happy with it.
I feel sorry for the people's that are not working, v-tech is usually a good quality company.

I ordered my four year old a vsmile pocket for xmas. We could never get the power to come on. Bought new batteries the ac apdaptor and still never any power. Sent it back to Amazon and I am still waiting for credit. Bought a new one a Target and it works great. Never know must have got a dud the first time.

First I've heard of this type of thing with vsmile. You're sure it was the one you hook up to a tv? We've had ours for quite a while, and no probs whatsoever, none of my friends reporting any problems either :confused3
