Any good car hire deals/ codes around for July/August time?

Hiya,

I need to book a basic car, we normally go for the second grade up as theres only three of us, i think its an economy and Im hoping to find a good deal for July/ August. We're arriving July 17th and leaving Aug 9th.

I know wayneg normally posts a code each month, but I can't find anything in this new forum!

Also is it Alamo brits that people have been using lately?

We only have one driver thats over 25 so we don't need anything extra, its more budget I'm looking for!!

Well the title was supposed to say good car hire deals! Ive tried to edit the post but there no go advanced option that I can see to edit the title grrrrr.

Just done a little searching, I think its compact you are looking for, economy is generally the smallest (although a couple of companies provide "mini")
This link was cheapest I could find http://www.quidco.com/carrentals-co-uk/
It's a bit complicated but do a search then click on compact with Auto Europe(shows £381.34), once you are on Auto Europe click change car it will then give you more options, go back into compacts and it shows same car at £374.21 incl extended cover. You should also get 7% Quidco which will bring price down to £348.02.
This way is cheaper than going thru Quidco & Auto Europe direct.
Works about at over £50 cheaper than the Brits deal or Virgin.

Personally I would pay slightly more for the Full size car at £424.47 less 7% = £394.75, worth £46 extra to me for a long rental.

Thank you so much, I will definitely follow the instructions, it seems like a great price and £46 extra for a full size is good too. I usually stick to the cheaper option but its only £2 a day more which is really good :0)

When I click on large size it brings this one up and some more expensive choices. I don't think I've seen many 2 does around ever of this kind of size car?

It's saying Standard size but I have had a few Nissan Altima and they have always been in Full size so I assume its because of the 2 dr it's been downsized to std. But whatever the class/cat as you say you rarely see a 2 dr car. You would get a row to choose from, not rented from Dollar for a while so don't remember if they have a separate Standard class or they are in with Full size, very unlikely you will get a 2 dr, I have never seen one.
