Any foods that kids are "supposed" to love but your kids don't?

My almost 18 year old dd doesn't like pop. Nothing carbonated at all. No Sprite, no Coke, etc. I am hoping this bodes well for her future college life - I never developed a liking for beer....maybe she won't either! :rolleyes1

My older dd won't eat anything breaded - so no chicken nuggest, corn dogs, etc.

I never ate peanut butter & jelly or mac & cheese as a kid... I still don't. I also don't eat hot dogs or hamburgers.

Wow, thats surprising. I don't think I have ever heard of a teen that didn't like pop. Thats good though! Not good for ya anyways:laughing:

There is this girl my dd13 plays softball with, she is always drinking Mountain dew. She will go through 2-liters.:scared1: And when she is out, she goes and buys more.

She never has liked it. We thought she would outgrow it eventually, but she hasn't. It is SO much healthier for her - when we all go out to eat, she always orders milk! This isn't something we pushed on her (although I would love to claim my outstanding parenting skills, lol) - I am the WORST Dr. Pepper addict, so she certainly didn't learn from my example!

well I'm 28 and have never liked milk...I like products made from milk, but milk itself :sad2::sick: yuck. I will use Silk Soy Milk when I need milk for a recipe or something or to add a tiny bit to cereal, but real milk just doesn't do it for me. I've disliked it since I was REALLY little; I only drank apple juice as a little kid.

:thumbsup2 Im not a big pop drinker either but dh loves it. When the kids were really young, I only allowed pop at parties. They never asked for it or really prefer now. They would rather have milk too. They do like a good rootbeer or orange float now and then, who doesn't :goodvibes

Dd13 won't eat hot dogs, burgers, chicken nuggets, or anything with cheese. She loves stir fry tofu and broccoli, though. Ds6 doesn't like chocolate or peanut butter. Dd6 hates peanut butter and kraft macaroni and cheese (but love homemade with cheddar, and tops her salads with tons of feta or blue cheese).

None of my kids like grilled cheese. :confused3

My oldest DS23 hates salad, green beans, mac & cheese and tuna fish.

DD16 hates PBJ, cereal & milk, spaghetti, and all meats except salmon and crab legs.

DS14 hates mac & cheese, or anything with cheese for that matter.

I think my kids are kinda weird. They actually ASK me to cook dry beans. They love broccoli, spinach, asparagus, collard greens and cooked carrots. They hate casseroles. When I was a kid I would have never eaten these things. Heck, I never ate a salad until I was married! I was strictly a meat & potatoes kinda gal.

Your ds could marry my dd - I've never met another kid who won't touch cheese. At one point, she wouldn't sit at the table if someone was eating something that contained cheese!

My son doesn't like pizza. I was a teen who hated pop. I still don't like it. I can handle 7-up, but the dark sodas - I really can't figure out the attraction.

My daughter hates Jelly.
My son won't eat Mac and cheese that is made of shells instead of noodles

DS7 just starting eating french fries .. doenst love them, but will eat a few.

He loves veggies.. THANK GOODNESS!!!

 really? Never saw a kid who didn't like pizza either:goodvibes;)
Clear pop is clean and dark pop is dirty:lmao: Wasn't there a commercial in the last couple years trying to get that idea across?

Neither of my kids will drink anything carbonated either. (And I have to start the day with a Pepsi!) Also, neither likes McDonald's or "fake" macaroni & cheese (Kraft).

I don't like mc donalds either.

Our 11 year old will not touch mac and cheese, PBandJ, bean and cheese burritos, gravy on anything, cereal with milk, he eats it dry and drinks milk along with it.

My DBF doesn't eat cheese. He'll eat pizza and nachos but that's it. My Dcuz doesn't eat any red foods (ketchup, salsa, spaghetti sauce). The only strange thing about me is that I don't like rootbeer.

neither one of my kids like ravioli (it was one of my faves as a kid). They don't care for fruits much, either. Would rather have veggies.

My brother HATED pop growing up. The carbonation was "hot" on his tongue. However, he became quite the beer drinker pretty young. He still doesn't drink pop - but loves beer. He can't explain the sensation difference to me.

Growing up I loved all the "adult" foods...strong cheeses, rich sauces, asparagus, artichokes, etc. My kids are following suit.

Me:
~Ketchup (smell is almost enough to gag me - LOVE mustard)
~Milk (LOVE soymilk, though)
~PB&J

However, I've always loved Brussel Sprouts, broccoli, green beans, oatmeal, cream of wheat, etc...

My brother has never liked:
~Pizza
~Chocolate
~Ketchup (ate mustard sandwiches for lunch as a kid.)

My now 24 yr old daughter has never liked pizza. As a kid she would come home from most bday parties starving because they served pizza and she wouldn't eat it.
