Any foods that kids are "supposed" to love but your kids don't?

My kiddo hates cheese (of any kind), soup, mac and cheese, fries (actually most potatoes don't go in her mouth..only one kind of instnt mashed), candy, most fast food, white bread, hot dogs (wouldn't try one until she was 8), will eat a corn dog minus the dog, never liked pancakes or syrup, won't eat pie and a great may condiments. I'm sure there are other things she doesn't like, but those stick out. I remember when she was about 1 1/2, she started asking for spaghetti and roast beast, chicken and dumplings...she used to take leftovers for lunch until the school told her she couldn't anymore. Poor kid loved having pork chops and broccoli and rice in her lunch.

OT Why did the school tell her she couldn't bring leftovers in her lunch?! It's a lot healthier than many of the "lunches" I've seen at the schools.

My 13 yo dd is the most pickiest child I have ever known! She will not eat the following: chocolate :confused3, tacos, no frosting (will eat plain yellow or white cake--scrapes the frosting off!), pudding, granola bars, most cereals (will eat Kix w/o milk) mashed potatoes.

I have two that won't eat mashed potatos, no meat except chicken. I have one that refuses to eat rice. One who dislikes spaghetti, but will eat lasgna.. My sdd only eats one condiment..ketchup. She has dry salad because she doesn't like dressings. None of them use jelly...all eat peanut butter sandwiches, sometimes they do a banana but pretty much just peanut butter. My dd22..dislikes chocolate. Any kind. Says it taste like pure sugar for her?

My dn and nephew don't like soda either..they don't even let it pass their lips. I think its great!

I don't like pizza..never cared for it much. My db HATES cheese of any kind. So mom always had to make a pizza with only sauce and pepperoni for db and I got a salad!

Then again..there is not a vegetable that my kids won't eat. They will TRY almost anything. So, they aren't too picky.

DD won't eat hamburgers, hot dogs or any type of condiment. I really honestly she wad the only one...glad to hear she's not!!

She loves to eat pancakes, but only if they are dry...no butter or syrup. Yuck.

I forgot about pancakes..dd will only eat them with butter and sugar...no syrup.

Hope her husband likes to cook because with her limited appetite he will be starving within in a week!

my dd5 doesn't eat pasta at all. She doesn't like chocolate or chocolate chip cookies. She likes grilled chicken but doesn't like fried chicken nuggets. She wants nothing whatsoever to do with soda. She loves raw carrots but won't eat cooked carrots. She doesn't like pop tarts

My dd9 doesn't like hot dogs, french fries or pizza. She has just recently started eating a few bites of cheese pizza if served at a party. She also doesn't like fried chicken nuggets. She doesn't really like cheese other than parmesan cheese.

Both kids will only use ketchup as a condiment. They will only eat grape jelly. For cereal they love cheerios and rice krispies and will eat fruit loops and apple jacks but no other cereals. They don't eat gummy snacks or anything like fruit by the loop.

DD, 7, does not like french fries, chicken fingers or hot dogs. She does however love onion rings and bratwurst. She is not a big fan of burgers, but will eat one sometimes.

Let's just say my DD's favorite food in the world is Chinese food - chicken and brocolli with fried rice. She will eat that every day if I let her. However, cereal, peanut butter and jelly, sandwiches - BLECH. Give her a bowl of brocolli and she's good. :lmao:

DD9 hates chicken nuggets, peanut butter and ketchup. She has finally accepted pizza. Her pasta has to be plain.

DS7 doesn't like foods that are mushy like mashed potatoes. Funny part of that is, he lost his top front 5 teeth at 2yrs old.

Goldfish! I thought every kid liked goldfish! Not my DS2! He throws a fit when he sees it! He would be happy eating strawberries and nuggets every day!

My DD11 doesn't like most "kid" foods:

macaroni and cheese (unless it's my homemade from scratch)
hot dogs
hamburgers
french fries
chicken nuggets
fish sticks
carbonated drinks like Coke
ketchup
anything breaded or fried

Her idea of a good dinner out is Thai, Moroccan, Lebanese, or Indian food. At "American" places, she usually opts for a Caesar salad and broiled chicken or fish. The one thing she will eat that most kids like is pizza. She prefers a white pizza with tomatoes, but will have a plain cheese if that's what's available.

I wish DH and I ate as healthy as her- we love all the stuff that is bad for us- fried food, burgers, etc.

Me too lol! And I pick mine apart and not use a fork:lmao:

I'd probably lose 20 or more pounds if I had the diet of some of your children... no cheese, chocolate, potatoes, cake, pizza and soda????? I wish I didn't like those things.

Interesting! :rotfl2:

She cuts hers into pizza triangles, so no fork needed apparently. If she is eating them at home...she then rolls the triangle into a gross ball...then eats that.

Maybe you guys are related?:)

My son, nieces and nephews will not eat fake macaroni and cheese.(the crap in the box) if it isn't the real deal, they don't will not eat it.

Kind of off subject, but macaroni & cheese has been mentioned many times. Does anybody have a good recipe for homemade they'd like to share with me?! I remember the one lunch I loved at school was mac & cheese...one of the old cafeteria ladies used to make it from scratch.

TIA

My DD7 will not drink drink soda of any kind- Coke/Sprite/orange- none!! Also she will not eat mac and cheese- the home-ade kind that her dad makes or the boxed kind.
