Any feedback from this resale site?

Lori is great to work with. Mark can be a bit curt and grumpy when you tell him his listing is priced too high. But overall i’d still endorse them and say they are good.

Just try to deal with Lori.
I’ve had great experiences with both Mark and Lori. I love working with them.

I placed bids on several contracts and was told my bids were too low. Not the best experiences, but the two contracts I ultimately bought were a great deal. I was the first one to bid on those two contracts for a few dollars less than asking and the seller accepted. They were the right UY and price. If it were my first contract I probably would not have gone back, however it's just another add on for me. If the price is right I'd go for it!

I have read that they will sometime refuse to present offers to the sellers if they feel the offer is too low. This may be hearsay, but it reflects my personal experience with them. I made an offer last year, I think around $15 pp lower than the asking price, and would have been willing to increase it by $5-7 if the sellers countered. I never even received a reply from this company.

IMO, if they feel the offer is low, it is not their place to decide. They should present all offers to the seller and let them decline or counter as they see fit.

I will never look at their website again, and certainly would never recommend them to anyone. Too many other resellers out there to have to deal with the BS of this one.

They could also have a direction from the seller to not present offers below a certain $/pt.

Yes, but if that was case with my contract, I would expect the decency of a response. Who runs a company by totally ghosting a potential client? I have 4 contracts, 3 of them resale. With each resale, I have initially offered $10-15 below asking and then negotiated from there.

I do agree that there should be contact. I have a deal in ROFR on one of my contracts right now and I had directed my agent to not bother me with offers under a certain price. I was willing to negotiate but only if we were starting in the same realm. It really depends on how the contract is priced in the first place and what the bottom line is...none of that is an excuse for poor communication though.

They have automated the negotiating between buyer and seller the last time I was on their site. Maybe this changed? I know sometimes their website blocks bids and advises the buyer the price being bid is too low. That happened to me once when I bid $8 below asking. I just moved on to a different contract and found what I was looking for.
As I mentioned earlier, I had great experience with Lori. Not so much with Mark. But the contracts I did purchase through them went ahead with no issues at all.

We made an offer with them on a small Poly contract (would have been our first) a year or two ago and it was accepted however a few days later we were contacted by the agent and advised that the listed points were not accurate so we withdrew our offer. Guess it is good that the agent found it but kind of soured us on the resale process so we ended up going direct for our first contract at least and the process was as simple as a 30 minute phone call and some emailed documents to e-sign, points were in our account ready to be used in a matter of a couple hours. Extra $ was well spent imo but we would still consider resale if we were to want to add more than 50 or so points.

That’s the complete opposite of my experience with Mark and Lori. I bought a CCV contract through them in 2021, offered substantially lower than asking price, and wound up closing about $10 below asking. They were super helpful and great to work with. It was a delayed closing, and they were with me every step of the way.

Having bought quite a few resale contracts, I’ve found it helps to approach the transaction with a good natured sense of respect, for both the process and everyone involved. You’ll find that you get it back as well.

I have ran into issues on more than one occasion where the listing on the website says something that almost seems to good to be true. For example, last year I was looking at a contract and it said seller would reimburse 21 and 22 dues. After putting in an offer, they told me it was an error or a glitch and it was only the 21 dues that would be reimbursed. This happened to me on two separate listings months apart.

I purchased our contract from there and was happy with the process. We had a few hiccups (elderly seller) but Mark and Lori were quick to fix and were easy to get a hold of and helpful through the process. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

We all know the reputable websites. There are not that many and this is definitely one of them. And frankly I think their automated offer process is a super smart innovation.

Also, as we all know, it’s the specific contract that dictates sales. Buyers who decide to disregard one of the reputable websites just wind up hurting themselves. Also, in these crazy times, personally I would think twice before going on some negative rant against any business that’s still ongoing and selling a product I want.

Thank goodness for the First Amendment of the US constitution.

I don’t think anyone is on a negative rant. Just sharing their perspectives and personal experiences as that is what the OP was asking.

Not everyone knows the reputable websites. Saying “we all know” is an assumption. It could make some folks feel less knowledgeable and intimidated to ask for opinions. Many people are new to these forums. Let them learn and ask questions freely. That’s what these boards are here for.
