I always see Toronto Dis meets and Ottawa dis meets on these boards, but I never see anything for the western part of Canada. Just wondering how many of us are there that have a Disney addiction from the West? And if there are enough per region, why don't we have dis meets???
Just a thought...what do you think?
I'm from the Edmonton area, so if anyone is interested, let me know. I would love to hear about your trips, so your pictures, exchange ideas for upcoming trips.
Let me know.

H Jo,

We are from BC, so you are not alone :)

P.S We are heading down to WDW on Sep 30th thru Oct 12th.

Cheers,
Lee & Cathy

Another BCer here, there seem to be a few! Was in Edmonton in August for the 1st time, great city!

I will qualify soon.

We are moving to Edmonton from Ontario as soon as we sell our house here.
We are very excited about it.

What do you think about these areas? Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, and St. Albert?

I live on the opposite end of the city from Spruce Grove and Stony Plain (these are west of the city), but they have great access to all ammenities.
St. Albert is a nice community as well and pretty much have everything you need there, including some great schools and parks. It is really pretty in this area.
I live in Sherwood Park, just east of Edmonton. This is called the Bedroom community because everyone commutes into the city everyday. This area is growing, but I generally go into the city for everything, including work and university.
Otherwise, if you want some advice as to what areas to avoid within the city for buying houses, or what areas to buy in, let me know. I am very familiar with the area.

I'm in Winnipeg! More central than western, but we are very slightly west of the geographic 'centre of Canada.' :)

Hello from Fort McMurray, AB. We're off the Disneyworld & Universal December 16 - 25 (along with 18 relatives from Edmonton).

I'm from BC! But my next trip isn't until.... sometime after my countdown is finished :)

We are from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. We are going to WDW in December and on the 10-day Christmas cruise.

I'm from Edmonton too. I live in the west end, about 10 minutes from the Mall. I think it will be a while before we head back to Disney, as DH is "Disneyed out". Trying to figure out a way to convince him of either doing a cruise during the week of the kids Teacher's convention, or Euro Disney when we head to Europe next summer. At this time both are highly unlikely, but stranger things have happened....

Hey everyone. My first WDW vacation is scheduled for Dec 12 - 22nd. Plan to hit WDW from the 12-18, and then Universal for a couple days, and an option day in there to do more of whatever was the most fun.

Should be great! I am so stoked!

Hmmm... :scratchin not really in the west and not really in the east:confused3 ...I always say I'm from wonderful "land locked" Manitoba definately more west than east IMHO::yes::

We are from North Van B.C., our travelling buddies are from Edmonton, can almost see the mall from their house. We are on the repo cruise in May and have been with the kids 2 other times, can't wait!!

I've moved from the north, and now live close to Winnipeg, MB. I have started the ball rolling for another Winnipeg meet in November. I really recommend everyone to get something like that started, they are so great!
