Has anyone had any difficulty at all printing boarding passes for SW. We are leaving tomorrow morning at 7:30. We generally get to the airport around 5:00 ish and have always been lucky to get the A group.

If I understand correctly, there are so many "A" passes alloted to online, counter, and skycab locations. Is this correct? Call me supersticious, but I'm worried something will go wrong if I try to print them. However, it would be nice to get the addl. sleep in the morning by not having to be at the airport so early. My son (20) will be up at Midnight and I was going to have him print them out for us. What does he need other than the reservation #?

Thanks for any input.

Michele

disneyfanatic60 - I have just booked SWA out of Buffalo for the first time. We are a family of 6 flying to Orlando on Jan 21-28. I did not know that they did not assign seats - now I am a little worried! My kids are 13, 11, 9 & 6 and what are the odds of us sitting together and how early should I be at the airport to ensure this? We also fly out at 7:30 a.m.

chasbos ~ I just did this for the first time yesterday. My brother and his niece flew out this morning at 9:10 a.m. I was up late last night so I went on-line to Southwest to print their boarding passes around 12:30 a.m. It was very easy and painless. The only problem I had was I ran out of paper :earseek: I had to print four pages and I had one sheet of paper in the printer. I grabbed another piece off my desk and it had the extra page from the car rental place on the back with one line of text. I work at home and I have no paper anywhere in my office. I had to run down and get two beat up pieces of paper from my brother's desk. Anyway I got them all printed out and they were 'A' boarding passes. I dropped them off at the airport and they checked their luggage with the skycap and he saw in the computer that they already had boarding passes so they went straight to the security line. They are down there right now enjoying Downtown Disney so I guess no one minded the paper "with a little bit of writing on the reverse or the beat up paper." :teeth:

Michele ~ to have your son print them he just needs first and last names and the confirmation number. That was it. It was very easy and made the whole process go very quickly for my brother. Give it a try. :D

We are staying in Buffalo the night before - what are the chances the hotel we are staying in will have internet connection that I can use?

I hadn't really thought about the return trip. My brother is staying at Pop Century and I told him to check with the front desk to see if they could tell him where he could do it or maybe they might do it for him. I would say check with the front desk at the hotel. It only takes a minute and is very easy so they might do it for you.

chasbos we are flying out of BUF on Dec. 11th and staying at the Holiday Inn Express the night before. When I called and made reservations with the Holiday Inn Express I asked if they were able to print out boarding passes for us at 12:01 AM. The woman I spoke with said it would be no problem, just to come down to the front desk at 12:01 and someone would print them off for me. Have a good trip!

skondo10 - That is good to know. I will look at reserving a room at the Holiday Inn Express. Can you tell me what rate you got and if you can park your car for the week there.

Thanks for the info - with 4 kids I want to make sure we get on the flight and within reasonable distance of each other on the plane.

I've often had early morning flights where I definately would not be up at midnight. I have never had trouble with getting an A by printing out the passes first thing in the morning when I get up.
I also had one time where my computer didn't print the pass out right. I didn't realize this until I got to the airport. Well, I waited in line at the ticket counter to get a replacement and since I was already checked in, I still had an "A". So, don't worry if your computer decides to kill your pass. as long as your check in, you should be fine.
