We are not making PS anywhere. We are going at a particularly dead time and I hate the stress of having to be someplace at a certain time for a meal. We are playing it by ear and will plan to eat at off peak times.

My real question is...........Is there a BAD Disney Rest? I hear and agree with a lot of the yummie ones, but I haven't been to a particularly bad one. [

I really think that Pizza Planet at MGM is the worst counter service of all. I was also very disappointed with Hollywood and Vine. They would probably make my top 2 worst list.

We usually have to have one meal at Planet Hollywood because DS loves it there but DH and I have really started to hate it. So that would be #3.

We were REALLY disappointed in San Angel Inn at Epcot. Beautiful setting-- but poor service and blah food.
We weren't overly taken with Hollywood & Vine either-- not horrible but totally forgetable.

These are my BAD restaurants

San Angel - EPCOT
Biergarten - EPCOT
Coral Reef - EPCOT
Fulton's Crab House - Downtown Disney

Hope this helps

Chef Mickey's for dinner was the worst meal I have ever had at WDW!!! Total waste of money. Breakfast is good, but dinner is AWFUL!! Never again.

Had a bad meal at Rainforest @ DTD several years ago (service & food were awful) and have never been back.

Had dinner last visit at the Kona Cafe. The dessert was good, but the meal was bad. Had ordered the Prime Rib and it came cooked like a regular steak. Had ordered it medium and it came very well done & very dry. The waitress had way too many tables to do, so by the time I could catch her attention, my dinner was cold.

I've heard that Hollywood & Vine has recently redone their menu. I wish that someone would confirm this! Even though I personally liked them before, I keep wondering what it is they're serving now.

Lewski, EVERY restaurant is criticized on this board. If enough people answer, you might hear that every restaurant is bad which makes it hard. :D

I don't know what is wrong with me but I have not had any bad food at WDW. I have had mediocre but nothing horrible. The blandest was the spaghetti at Hollywood and Vine before it turned into a buffet. I think the most disappointing has been at Cinderella's Royale table for 2 different lunches. It certainly was not bad but was not anything great. You can see that they really try to have a nice menu and somewhat upscale servings but it just didn't impress. Even the sandwich we had there was blah!

I've had horrible counter service food in Mexico (greasy dark meat chicken tacos) and Japan @ the Yakitori house (again - nasty dark meat in the chicken teriyaki - it used to be good white meat!)

I was not overly impressed with the concourse steak house (is that the name of it?) at the CR. I had the chicken and it was way too spicy and dry.

I enjoyed the food at Fultons...but the atmosphere was horrible when we went. (if i wanted screaming/jumping kids seated RIGHT NEXT TO ME on my honeymoon, I would have went to McDonalds)

I agree with Planogirl. Every one's opinion is different and so are all of our tastebuds. I ate at the Italian place in Epcot before and wasn't impressed. For the most part though, all my other meals have been fine.

As for the prime rib incident by Terk-1, I would have sent it back and not paid for it. But that is just me. ::yes::

We will stay away from the ones which are repeatedly noted bad, so everyone's voice is important.

Disney does try to make everything the best they can, so if you have a bad experience....let it be known in the politest way possible. NOPE....I don't work for Disney.

;)

We've never really had a bad meal, either. In fact, we were really lucky to have great service everywhere we went for our last trip. I'm sure there are bad restaurants out there, but even if we encountered one, we would be having too much fun to remember it!

I have to say the worst meal ever was Chef Mickey's dinner. We love the breakfast but yuck was dinner gross. We tried twice hoping the second time would be better but no luck. I will never go there again. Just plain awful.

Fulton's Crab House is the only restaurant at WDW that we will never waste any more time or money at.

The worst meal we ever had at WDW was at Planet Hollywood followed closely by Sci Fi.

I felt that it was over-priced, and our service was so slow that all of our meals had a crust from the lamps they use to keep the meals warm. I thought that Chef Mickey's was fine...you just don't eat the stuff that you don't like at a buffet...I ate enough shrimp to keep me happy.
Also, the restaurant at Wilderness Lodge was way overpriced. I got ostrich tenderloin, and pike, two of my favorite meats. I understand that the chefs there have changed several times over the past few years.

Aside from those two, my meals have always been good or better, and my wife always sets up the PS. With the pace that we set in the parks, we need scheduled breaks!

Wolfgang Pucks Express - overpriced for serve yourself food and it's not even *good* food.

Planet Hollywood - but then they're all pretty crummy aren't they

Rainforest Cafe - my eggs were WAY underdone (scrambled but wet) the time we had breakfast and the salad at lunch was nothing spectacular.

Flying Fish - Ok, the food was good (really good) but the service stunk!! I mean, our waiter was totally put off by the fact that 1- we had a baby with us. 2 - we were in our disney attire (tee-shirts) 3 - we asked for water to start with (we were going to order drinks after we had a chance to decide what we wanted to eat) 4 - we bypassed the appetizer. All in all, the service was SO bad, that I am really hesitant to go back there, even though I really liked my food.

The only bad ones I've had were at Garden Grille and ABC Commisary.

Can't remember the name of it, but it was fast food in Epcot FW, on the side by Living Seas and JIYI, near Illuminations West. Also had a bad time at Boatrights at POR, but it was more the server than the food that made that so awful.

We were not happy with breakfast at CRT the last trip (but used to love it). The worst meal we had at any time was the buffet for dinner at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian. Other than that we have been happy at all the other restaurants at WDW.

Sorry this is DW and my opinion, this place =bad service, overpriced, average food, rude waiters and they charge you for water, well it was good water and best part of our dining experience at this dive. This is the only dining venue I have set down and written a letter to WDW about. Not A E-MAIL A HAND WRITTEN SIGNED LETTER.You and others may love it I would not eat there again on a bet.
